Time to go. It's quite rank here at GZ, and now the actual milk bar has closed down.
There wasn't a clue inside this one.
There wasn't a clue inside this one.
Had a good look around. Given the hint there are only 2 possible locations. Nothing in either. Pretty sure this has gone missing over lockdown.
I had some essential exercise by finding some clues to a nearby multi and then decided to look for this cache on my way home, having found most of the other caches in this series. I parked in the empty parking strip outside the Milk Bar and didn't have to worry about social distancing because all the shops were shut so there were no muggles about. To be honest, I didn't get much exercise here because I spotted the cache from my car as the cache had slipped down from its hiding spot. I retrieved the cache and signed the log at 5:40 pm. I am tending not to take or leave swaps at the moment but being a Carlton fanatic I couldn't resist taking the Patrick Cripps character that was in the cache, which I immediately disinfected with hand sanitiser, and so I left a Disney character which I also disinfected. I returned the cache to its hiding spot, making sure it was now out of site although the magnet isn't very strong so it could slip down again. I then made sure I used hand sanitiser on my hands to stay safe.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the cache and for bringing me to this interesting shopping strip that I didn't know was here.
In my first 20 years of life my family lived opposite a Milk Bar. The people who owned the Milk Bar lived in the house next door to the Milk Bar. I remember when I was very young my parents taking me across the road to watch the TV in the front window of their house with other kids in the area and they gave us free icecreams while we watched children's programs. I presume they made money from our parents who would eat or drink while they waited for us. Very enterprising I must say!

A morning quick park and find before a trip to the shops for supplies and a takeaway coffee. Hands were disinfected before and after - tftc
Wasn't sure this one was there. There was really only one place it could be, and on first inspection, I couldn't see anything. Persisted though, and eventually came up with the prize. TFTC
None of the shops here look like they are used any more. The cache didn't take long to find.
Might just be me :/ would be cool if someone else could find it and tell me if it’s still here though! But just don’t tell me where
Dropped off a GeoKret yesterday, I found Mrs Tortilla a while ago at the beach, first GeoKret I have found, just use the information on tag to log and place somewhere new like a TB.
Yay finally found a cache after hours of traveling around looking for a different one...
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
We had 10 min to spare before a ballet concert. Found the cache (wahoo) but then realised were late for the concert, mad rush to get back. Well either it, we enjoyed the cache. thank you!
Had a homeless bloke camping out the front of the milk bar and didn't look he was moving anytime soon. So I'll have to give this cache a miss for now.. bummer.
On way to my friend for a short time and Quickly stopped. Found your cache today. jimbo_80, thank you so much for placing it.
Found straight away in the first place I looked. Cache found on the ground. I forgot my pen so unable to sign log. Cache returned to a more concealed spot. TFTC!
Dropped sisso2 at Aquanation for SSA diving champs so need to get on with collecting for the Mystery at the Museum game. Nice easy find in the place you think it should be.
This would get me the last jewel for the Mystery at the Museum so I decided to extend lunch a tad and grab them. Surprisingly the area was clear so I made a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.
GZ wasn't completely clear but all was quiet so I parked and wandered over to locate the hide. I briefly checked the logical spot but missed it. A truck pulled up and the driver left the door open and engine running and disappeared into the milk bar so I took advantage and gave the hide a more thorough search - gotcha! TFTC
*18 Jul 2019, Found @7:53 pm, Find # 3133.*
With the Mystery at the Museum in progress there was no time like the present to be out picking up a few caches. This was a sneaky hide thankfully it was rather quiet at the milk bar tonight.

Came here while in the area ready to head home. A double hit- treasure find and a pie with sauce. ️
Watermelon.
Ha.
Out today jewel hunting and this was in our sights.
An extra degree off difficulty with the driving rain. Upside, not a sole in sight for the quick find.

Did the nearby cache at the swimming centre and as this was nearby it became a necessity. This was a park and go but just the same required a little thought. With a quick recovery, it was SL. TNLN. Thanks Jimbo_80 for the hunt.
As it was Mother’s Day, I got to chose the activity for the afternoon... how could I not pick geocaching! Thanks for your cache!
I was glad that I had the munchkin with me for this cache as it provided some cover for searching. I was pretty certain I knew where it would be hidden as I approached, and I was glad that for once I was right. All in good condition here. TFTC
The milk bar had a sign on the door saying "Back in 4 hours".
As a consequence the area was deserted and I could retrieve the cache without looking suspicious.

In the area again so I stopped by for a look. A short search between muggle traffic for the find.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the fun series.

Thanks jimbo_80 for the fun series.
This evening, the milk bar was empty. I took the opportunity to search for the cache. I soon had it, signed and replaced it quickly, to try avoid detection. Thanks so much for placing this cache jimbo_80
Found this morning whilst doing a couple of multis in the area, including one from this series. A nice hide in an open area but no one paid too much attention. Needed youngest geoson to retrieve this one. TFTC!
This was just what I needed to give purpose to my evening walk. After waiting as long as I could for the muggle who stopped on the other side of the road to move on (finish his phone call?), I had to walk on and come back after he left. It was a quick find then. Signed the log and left my calling card. I also grew up in the heyday of the Milk Bar - I'll have a Lime & Coke thanks! TFTC jimbo_80
Update: I was sitting on the ground at GZ deciding whether the next nearest cache was feasible in the late evening, when a car pulled into the parking area and disgorged a couple of junior muggles who went into the closed Milk Bar. Sometimes all you can do is sit there and look innocent!

A much better experience this time around. All in good condition, took care to avoid the muggles. TLNLSL TFTC!
Found this one quickly and easily, this is just up from our old house so we have been here once or twice. Tftc
After a bit of waiting around for passing muggles, K and I quickly ducked in and snatched it, signed it and high fived to finish off our adventure.
Twelve caches for today, we’re pretty proud. Might celebrate with an ice cream! Thank you!

Found this one today while actually heading to the shops to pick up some groceries and we made this a quick detour and swung past the gz and managed a park only metres from where i would be searching. There was a large Fete going on just down the road t the school and parks were sparse today so I considered myself lucky I made this one a quick park and grab, thanks again jimbo 80 for the hide.
Surprisingly this cache was fairly visible and it wasn’t muggled, had a bit further under. Milk Bars like this one need a massive facelift to have a chance to compete with 7/11 etc, it’s quite unfriendly front does not make me want to step in the door .
Another night. Another chat with Gunks with caches to distract us. Not the most successful evening but a few cleared. TFTC
Found this one tonight with Trailstevo on our Thursday evening escape to whinge about work and our families! . Just a few short walks, a couple of quick finds and a couple of fails. All good, thanks for the fun.

Ducked out this afternoon for three quick caches before getting back to the grindstone just as it started raining, great, ahh well, at least I'm still breathing. Nah, rain or no, I'm lovin it!
A quick find and hopefully there were that many people around that no-one will have noticed me
**Thanks for placing this cache jimbo_80**

Inspired by Let’s go shopping - Ka Ching! I came to do this one. What a tired looking milk bar. Very quick find. Thanks jimbo _80
This milk bar did have some sort of muggle-magnet sofa sat outside it. Eldest has just informed me that in the book Captain Bluebear, a ‘muggle’ is a creature that lives in the desert and has a perpetually unfulfilled quest to find a mythical floating sand city. It didn’t attract that sort of muggle (shame), but the hormone-ridden teenage sort, who probably dismissed us all as we were middle aged, and therefore not worthy of attention. Still... the bagdrop move (as practiced in the CBD) was a reasonable precaution.
The sofa that was there was (in the parlance of Britain circa 2003) “Minging”. It needed a jolly good wipe with disinfectant.
This brings me to my shopping list item:
The humble noodle mitt.
I have attached a photo, as I have mentioned these to people before and got a blank look.
The noodle mitt is one of my favourite cleaning items of all time. You know how if you clean a dusty surface such as a sink, after a while you are just pushing dust about the place? Noodle mitts seem to grab all that dust and keep on cleaning. Also encasing the hand leaves you feeling much cleaner yourself, I peel them off directly into the washing machine, and wash my hands, and don’t get that “icky” feeling from having cleaned my bathroom surfaces.
In an innovative move last week, I used a rubber band, a noodle mitt and a broomstick to create a tiny mop head, and got that really narrow and tricky bit behind the TV cabinet. #winningSoHard.
The only thing they are missing is some novelty eyes, to make them look like a little cuddly echidna.

Yeah, wow, that sofa has seen better days and lots of them!!! What are the chances there would be workmen in the shop next door and 1, then 2 residents on the lounge and as the other Angels said, sucking away the evidence of what they had bought! Whilst VR did the bag trick (& very swiftly I might add) I stood as a visual barrier between her and the couch residents and the workmen were out of sight anyway. We went around the corner to sign the log and there was much discussion over how long we thought a metre was! We then replaced in the same fashion although my team elongagted matters by wanting a photo for GMelbs cache records lol.
So this was Cache 4 for the day and attached is my favourite item in AISLE 4 of that Little Shop mini collectibles place... I am quite an unusual specimen of the human species, there’s no denying it!!! So my favourite item from Aisle 4 is fettuccine ..... but not just plain old straight fettuccine..... you guessed it .... curly fettucine!!! It reminds me of my once ringlet curly hair ... I mean ...... It holds more sauce you see..., the sauce just slips off straight fettucine but gets caught in all the nooks and crannies of the curly style and I like more sauce!

Ahhhh the good old dairy. Yes I’m from NZ, although I now call these things milk bars. A dying breed, for sure. Although this one seems to have tapped in to the minds of young loiterers and provided a smoking lounge out the front. I guess if you attract loiterers then it guarantees business for a bit longer.....especially if you’re brave enough to sell ciggies to underage kids.
We created a loitering scene of our own with three adults and 5 kids all hanging out the front of the milk bar. The two young ladies on the smoking lounge were too busy sucking on their darts before they got caught by their parents to worry about our reason for being there. Not that they would have even seen past Vividrogers amazing stealth acting as she rummaged for something in her giant handbag and *yoink* flicked the cache into the bag in one foul swoop.

I had to head over this way for another reason but seeing that I'm here, I may as well find some caches.
This is the first one of this series for me and it was certainly an easy find as I could see it before I even started looking, the log was signed and I was on my way.

Spiffy- and I decided it was a nice morning to go shopping.... cache shopping. So with our stealth bikes fully charged we hatched a plan. Our first of the day and I picked the correct spot of the choices. Thanks to jimbo_80 for placing this cache.

It has been a while since Fleabag- and I went for a bike ride. We had 3 hours spare and with a fair few new caches around this area this was the place to be.
We arrived here, waited for one muggle to pass. I checked 3 spots and then Fleabag- checked the last place and came up with goods.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

A quick pick up in this location looks like the milk bar is still in operation.
When I was a kid there was a Milk Bar within walking distance of my house and my Nana used to give me 20 cents to go down and buy myself a packet of lollies, what a treat! I Remember one time my Mum asking me to go get milk from the local milk bar. Off I walked, with the wire basket in hand, and 80 cents which would buy me 4 600ml glass pints of milk. I started skipping home when I ran into John Robin, a boy from my primary school who I thought was a bit cool. He called out to me from across the road “Hey Louise, I bet you can’t swing that basket of milk right over your head!”. Always up for a challenge, and not wanting to seem uncool, I started the wind up, swinging my arm back and forth until I thought I had enough momentum to get the basket all the way over my head and back down the other side. Unfortunately I miscalculated and two bottles came smashing down. John Robin let out a belly laugh as I sheepishly headed Back home to face my Mum “Well back to the milk bar you go with your pocket money this time!”

My third jimbo_80 cache this morning - what a fun series this is!
I pulled up at GZ at the same time as the ice cream truck - how exciting!
Waited til the coast was clear before grabbing the cache. Took a seat nearby to sign and then chose a clear moment to return.
Hmmmm - now did someone mention ice cream...?

A quick park and grab .. but probably because it was just before school pickup when this area becomes very busy .. TFTC
Even on Sunday morning we needed a little care in searching and we were almost on the brink of leaving when there was a opportunity to search. Quick find and back to the car to sign the log and then replace. TFTC
Quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache jimbo_80

I grew up in Adelaide and these were called "Deli's" - everyone from Victoria thinks this is weird as a Deli is somewhere you buy cold meats and gourmet salads. My mission today was to complete the Guess Who series, but I also wanted to grab a few of this new Jimbo_80 series while I was out and about. This one was a quick find , but as soon as I grabbed it I was inundated by muggles and had to flee the scene! I signed the log and then I had to wait for 3 families to grab their treats from the Milk Bar and then loll about outside enjoying the weather. Finally they left and I could return the cache. Loving the series so far, look forward to more coming out. TFTC!

A quiet day at work today, so hergab69 and I decided to head out to find a few of these new local ones.
This was our first, and as we arrived we noticed there were no spare parking spaces, so I took advantage of the bus stop. Just as we were getting out of the car, the bus turned up, so I retreated and inched the geovehicle forward with the passenger door left wide open. As we were now double-parked, I spotted the likely place from the drivers seat, and hergab made the quick find. The log was soon signed, and clue may or may not have been noted.
Thanks for the cache, jimbo_80
