We completed the South West Cape circuit from Saturday to Friday and spent some of the afternoon looking for the two caches here I hadn't found before. I punched the coordinates into the GPS and soon realised I'd already passed the hide on our way into Melaleuca. We quickly retraced our steps, grabbed the container and logged the find. TFTC.
From Christmas Eve until 3/1 was plenty of time to walk the South Coast Track and some detours. Sure we've stopped for this geocache! In perfect weather and calm conditions it was easy to find this cache in the stunning landscape!TFTC!
I have been lucky enough to be a volunteer here for the last 10 days.
Such a glorious location. One day I may even get to hike in the area.

Found with JaffaJ while on an adventure from Brisbane. Clear and warm weather gifted us stunning views of the area and opportunity for some wonderful day trips from Melaleuca. Very pleased to note our visit with a successful cache find. Thanks for placing this, loved the hide.
Found this on the day we flew in to Melaleuca ready to start our 10 day trek on the South Coast Track. We flew in with Par Avion on their afternoon flight. We camped at Melaleuca overnight so had time to find this cache and explore around this cute little vicinity. So much history and very interesting learning about the orange bellied parrot. Thanks for putting this cache out here for us to find. (it is now 21/1/22 and I'm posting up this find). We had an epic, enduring adventure walking the SCT - chikinlittle (11) and chilinlittler (10) did such a great job on trail. The chikins from Brisbane.
This was the first cache i walked over to discover a few weeks ago after putting my weighty backpack down in one of the huts relatively nearby.
The next morning our little group ventured out on to the south west cape circuit, which we then leisurely strolled over the next nine days until it met up with the port davey track and we marched (as much as one can march in deep mud) the last eleven km back to melaleuca, passing once more this cache, which i felt obligingly to add a second date beside my name (another almost palindromic date) and show a muggle member of my party my addictable hobby.
A well deserved bed rest followed before tackling next week's south coast track.
This cache for the moment is my most southern found cache on earth, which is always an interesting statistic.
Yesterday was the first time i've heard or seen cars in three odd weeks, so with a full belly, warm clothes on and reception handy, today i can tell the short story of this cache's discovery, claim ten odd months unloved and capture a missing calender date too.
Thanks gooseandegg for hiding a cache out in this neck of the woods!

Quick find when staying in Melaleuca after a seakayaking tour to Port Davey. Cache is in good condition. TFTC!
After enjoying the boat tour around Bathurst Harbour it was time to get our hiking boots on and start our 7 day trek along the SCT. Not before we created smileys at the available caches in Melaleuca though A quick find here with K8'n'Co. in the obvious location.
Thanks for the cache gooseandegg

Trekking with Scattsmadhouse from Melaleuca to Cockle Creek when we found this one, FTF honours to him TFTC
I do enjoy finding caches in the middle of nowhere. Even more so when it turns out to be an FTF. TFTC
