Logs
First find of the day and what a day it is! Geohound investigated everything else while I searched for and made an easy find with this. Tftc
Quick find for the last cache of todays trail with Vaccaching and Rosiepo11. Lovely afternoon for a wander. TFTC
In Wellington for work, happened to be surveying along this stretch of the Hutt River today, so a quick dash to GZ. Quick find. All well inside the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Bike adventures. Thanks for the find! Didn't have a pen in our bag - pic for proof of find
Found while walking from Totara Park. Kinda hard to get while dodging lots of people walking on the trail. Cache very rusty. Tftc.
Good excuse for a walk on this side of the river! Dog had a lot of fun! Easy find and no muggles until just after we'd put the cache back (slightly better concealed) and then a zillion cars drove by. TFTC
Taking advantage of spending another evening in Upper Hutt, I decided to get a bit of fresh air after work by taking a stroll along the Hutt River Trail from Totara Park towards Riverstone Terraces. The weather was actually a lot calmer than I was anticipating after some of the gusty weather we'd had earlier in the day, and I ended up walking about 6km all up.
This was the first cache I stopped for along the way. I hadn't realised that I was really on the wrong pathway to get to this cache, but once I realised I was able to remedy that easily enough. There was no-one else around whilst at GZ so was able to make a quick and easy find of this cache.
I've often wondered if the CO means to get rid of these simply by putting them out as caches and letting oxidisation do the rest, but in this case the container was actually in reasonable nick. Once the log was signed and the whole lot replaced as found, I was soon back on my way.
Thanks for placing this cache.

A nice quick find thanks. I got on my bike and did some caching whilst waiting for the Remutaka road to reopen.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather day and we cruised to Porirua and over the Masterton. The Remutaka hill was closed for over 4 hours as a truck "Fell off" part way up. The truck was a long way down when we passed, and the driver was in a serious condition. Hopefully they will be OK.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Took the little walk along track with a couple of enthusiastic grandchildren. Nice easy find kept them that way. Thanks for providing some of the day's entertainment.

Was a beautiful hot day today, so decided to go for a ride / walk along this pathway. Ezratar managed to slide on the sand and came off his bike so we dumped it back in the car and walked the rest of the way. Both Mycro Man and Ezratar stopped every few metres to pick black berries and then move on, so the walk out took a lot longer than the walk back. Thanks for the cache. Cache still in good condition.. Some horses nearby you can pat if you want to.
Nice easy find with @peadub while walking the Hutt River Trail. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Quick find thanks to spot-on coords and the larger than expected outer container. Lots of cycle and pedestrian traffic on the path today.
TFTC love the easy ones that are exactly at the location, local horse owners look at you real strange though lol
Seized the opportunity to grab this while in the vicinity, preparing for a day's outing with a 4WD club. Cache easy to spot. TFTC GLAD-NZ!
Quick find while waiting for a 4WD adventure into the Akatarawa Forest to start. TFTC GLAD-NZ!
My last dot day before January, so I wanted to find a cache that would take me up to five out of six days of finds in the '321 Go' souvenir campaign. With family visiting I didn't have a huge amount of available time, but there was a group of four of these GROET caches I hadn't yet found on this side of the river. I bypassed GROET #39 for another time when I am REALLY short of time and proceeded to #40. It was a very easy find, spotted straight away. No muggles about and I soon had the cache found, log signed and cache back in place, then made my way back to the car and home. Log was all nice and dry, as befits being in an Eclipse container within a plastic container.
Thanks for another GROET GLAD-NZ. I think I've found quite a few around Upper Hutt in the last few months.

This cache was first up as I started my trip up into the forest behind Cannon Point. Unfortunately I had already left my car when I discovered my GPSr didn't have the Upper Hutt caches in it - so I had to use my backup navigator, my phone, which unfortunately doesn't have a very good GPS receiver in it. By the time I discovered the problem I had already passed #39, but I didn't want to backtrack. So this was my first; #39 is there for another trip. This was a nice easy find; a slug was inhabiting the underside of the rim of the lid, but I didn't have to disturb it. TFTC.

Found on a cycle trip up from Melling on a lovely fine day along the magic Hutt River Trail. TFTC
#7366. I was working at home today and it was a glorious sunny day outside. By mid-afternoon I decided it was time to nip up to the Hutt valley for a short walk to pick up a few more caches and complete my work tasks when I got home. Really enjoyed the walk along this track in spring like conditions. Lots of birdlife with the skylarks soaring and singing overhead and rock pigeons and sparrows enjoying all the seed and chaff being fed out to the horses. Nice easy find by the track. The lady feeding her horses was far enough away not to see what I was up to. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks GLAD-NZ for another in the GROET series. Cheers GSEL
