Having had no luck accessing the Mt Tantangara area (see log here... https://coord.info/GCAVXEE), I headed back to Cooma and had a few enjoyable hours of geocaching there.I searched this whole area and turned up nothing. I contacted a previous finder who gave me more directions. We agreed that it might not be there any more. After half an hour of fruitless searching, I moved on.Thanks, CoomaClan. I'll try again another time.

As the daylight was dipping we decided to duck up Mt Gladstone to enjoy some lovely views! To my surprise, when we got to the top, it started snowing! Not much, but enough for us to yell ITS SNOWING like small children on Christmas. That was cool! Dashed off to grab a few caches round the mountain as the light was fading before heading home!Took a short wander to this lookout to admire the view for miles! After admiring how much I could see, I meandered over to GZ where the cache was quickly located, an interesting container! Logbook signed, cache returned and off to the next one! Thanks for placing this cache in this amazing spot CoomaClan!

Found on my trip towards Beridale to stay with my friend before heading to The Mile High Event at Tantangara tomorrow. Lovely to revisit this mountain, I hadn't seen the southern side though until today. Terrific views, gorgeous! Took a few minutes to spot the cache, I ended up finding it a little exposed. Nice and quiet up here today though, no muggles. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Beautiful spot. We're here in spring but this would be incredible in winter. Thanks for putting a cache here. It's in good condition.

Google tried to take us there via the road before actual turnoff. Ended up at someone's property. Followed the instructions from a local (turn at the old wagon) and made it to the top easily. Being dusk, there was lots of wildlife to watch out for. A bit of a scramble and a quick find. TFTC

A nobleman who got into a lot of fights - mostly because his name was the Marquis of Fantailler. Inventor of a list of rules on the manly art of pugilism, mostly concerning places you were not allowed to hit him. Following the Marquis of Fantailler's rules is a widely recognized way of committing suicide.

Travelled from Sydney to Jindabyne for the event tonight. After the event did some caches back to Cooma. Fun caching in the dark - should be a higher difficulty rating.

Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today

Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Day #1 [14-2] of 5 for my trip away. Today, I headed down to my overnight pit stop in Cooma before heading into Merimbula tomorrow. Yes of course, I am going to Geocache the whole way there and back apart from visiting the beach. Big Grin The caches I found today were mostly quick and easy finds with a couple of DNF’s or NA’s due to factors like: road quality, unable to find them or I was starting to run out of time to get to Cooma. The focus for the finds were caches that fitted into one (or more) of the following categories: For a self-imposed challenge, historic cache (pre-2010), a quick park and grab along the way or part of the Kelly Road Powertrail. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to finish this trail due to the road conditions but I did manage the start couple plus the last one of it. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. Big Grin TFTC’s Big Grin
P.S. Sorry, about the generic logs. I will endeavour to edit them at some point in the future for the extended story. This is when I have more time on my hands.

Day 8 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives and explore some of the newer virtual and earth caches since my last visit. It was then time to continue the journey south towards the Snowy Mountains.

After spending the night in Cooma, it was a chilly start to the day at -1°, with a heavy frost. I had to head back inside before we left for some warm water to dissolve the ice covering my windscreen.

We headed up to Mt Gladstone on our way out of town. I headed for the cache while my wife chose instead to snuggle in the warmth of the car. I was on form this morning, managing to locate this cache much quicker than I expected considering the potential hiding places in the area. TFTC

This is our first chance to take off in our motorhome and test it out. It is so long since I have been caching, I am feeling very rusty, with very little caching over the last 18 months. Now we are semi retired, so we will no doubt get familiar and catch up on some very late logs.

We stopped off in Cooma to pick up a few hides, this was one of them.

Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.
