Fortunately for me, my work gives us the Monday before the Melbourne Cup as a paid holiday. That meant I was free to drop 999HK off at her VCE exam and then go for a short geocaching adventure before needing to head back and do the pickup. Worked out the coordinates without too much hasseland with good coordinates, the geocache was found. All in good condition. Thanks for the cache, Jupiter Pearl.Hunter

Feeling like a multi today, I found myself heading up this way before meeting some friends in Clayton for dinner tonight for some boardgames. With a rather empty netball centre, I was quickly able to work through the stages with no real muggle presence. Soon enough I found myself at the final and quickly signed and found the cache. Thanks for the cache and the fun little multi.

17-Apr-24
Checked tonight final GZ. Not in the blackberries. Satellites directed me 7.5m SW from actual GZ. Cache not quite hidden. In play

Found it! Thanks JupiterPearl

with help from my brother we found it! tftc Smile

15:45The Christmas purchase I was sent to collect might not have been in stock, but I got to take a walk in Jells Park.First, though, a short tour of the nearby netball facilities, where I sat and enjoyed the quiet where it's probably very noisy of a weekend... and made some quick calculations and discovered that the cache was on my way to my next destination. Perfect. Thanks, jupiterpearl.#8058

When I was younger, long before this centre was here, I played netball on these courts and my dad used to take me to the games. This was a fabulous trip down memory lane for me. Thank you for bringing me back. Quick find here.Thank you jupiterpearl for the cache.

17-Sep-23
Beautiful day for a walk out in the park and this cache took us just a little off the path and away from the crowds which was nice. Found tucked away and safe in its hiding spot. TFTC!

I was in the general area getting some information on a Virtual Cache that I’m working on and after getting what was required I decided to look for a couple more caches as I’m not over this side of town very often I need a cut lunch to make it all this way from home.
I’m also chasing some multi’s to get my tally up.
Parked out side as the place was full with of games going on and great to see so many parents out supporting their kids.
I wandered around not trying to look to suss (I have that effect on some people) finding and taking note on what I needed.
Sat done, worked out the coords and off I went to add my name to the log.

Thanks jupiterpearl TFTC

It was hard to work out but we got there eventually

Found at 15:35
I haven't been out caching for a while so decided to take advantage of a break in the rain. With no genes on today, I was able to collect the required information although I must have had something wrong because I struggled with the calcs. I was able to get close enough and make the find.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache

13-Mar-23
Gotcha!

Was in the area a couple of weeks ago, calculated a likely Gz but ran out of time to visit the final.

Was back in area today and made the quick detour to find a prickly but well-hidden cache. TFTC and adventure.

This was a nice quick multi on a hot hot day caching in the morning. We got out early to beat the heat but by even 10am it was boiling TFTC

19-Nov-22
Found all the numbers and checksum worked so headed off to the cache location. Nice easy find here.
Travelled back to my home state of Victoria from New Zealand to attend the Whittlesea MEGA (and maybe visit family!)
Thanks for the cache, jupiterpearl

What a Great day. Out on the bike. So many hiding spots. Finally Cache in Hand. Interesting hide. Thanks for the cache.

04-Sep-22
Found by Rebel Acts in the company of Omegaman1971.

Just a couple of hours out caching today as I slowly get back on my feet after surgery, we were keen to do a few of the new side tracked caches and a few Multi's we had not done in the area.

This is one of the caches found today. A nice quick find once the numbers were crunched.

Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.

Checked GZ. Cache in play -clues in tact.

29-Apr-22
Daughter playing netball here tonight. Collected the clues while she was warming up then the final location was just a short walk from where she was playing. So grabbed the csche and walked back to watch the game. Thanks.

Found safe and sound today on the way to Jells Park.

05-Mar-22
TFTC! Looking for an area with a number of caches, and not too far away, and Jells Park fitted that bill, plus aiming for multi month challenge and seriously this fitted the bill. Wow we picked the worst day for this one, but parking was a breeze. There was a lot of games going on inside and out. Plus softball on the fields. We weee able to calculate the GZ and a quick find.

12-Jan-22
Working on my multi month challenge. This was a nice fun little multi. TFTC

02-Jan-22
After gps user issues, a quick find

10-Dec-21
Out with BoabTree, we had a fun day caching in the Jells Park area, doing some multis and finishing the KDNP series. What magnificent netball courts. We gathered the required numbers and headed to GZ, where we had an easy find. Thanks jupiterpearl.

10-Dec-21
Out caching for the day with Echidna44, we decided to target a few multis around Jells Park. This one was the first. We visited each waypoint and collated the information. At GZ the cache was found quickly and easily.

04-Dec-21
The boys had a softball game early this morning and the diamonds are right in front of the netball centre. I gathered the info while everyone was still warming up and made the find before the first pitch was thrown.

27-Nov-21
After a nice long walk around the lake at Jells Park, we thought we would have a go at this multi as it was close to where we had parked the car. I think we came at the wrong time, as every oval & court was occupied, and there were people everywhere, but we found a car spot and collected the required clues.

Watching a game of netball helped my memory for one of the questions. I used to play this sport about 20 years ago, firstly in an all girls team, then mixed, which certainly had its moments. Once we played a grand final game against a team with a shocking reputation. They played dirty, and the people watching them were feral, and constantly yelling out abuse about our lovely goal shooter, who was a gentle giant. What they didn’t know, was that his brother also played on our team, and when the siren sounded, (we won by one goal) all hell broke out. Fights nearly ensued, including from our girl captain trying to take out one of the spectators. Ah, those were the days.

After calculating GZ, all netball games were finished and a short walk later, the cache was in hand.

Thank you jupiterpearl for showing us this great complex and for the memories.

Fun walk around a netball venue that I haven't played at! Tftc!

13-Nov-21
A dry afternoon following a soggy morning meant geocaching! Both me and ozlsn are netballers and enjoyed this cache immensely, TFTC!

02-Nov-21
Out on my own today to check out the new facility of what used to be my favourite sport to play.
I was considered tall then but would not even get a run. We used to play on concrete courts then. You can see how old I am. What lovely facilities there are and it is so popular next door.
Picked up the clues and did the maths. Took the short walk and made the find. Thanks for bringing me here jupiterpearl. Thanks for the cache

24-Oct-21
Out for our walk and thought we would try a couple of multi's in this park area. While Jells Park itself was packed with people on our first weekend out of lockdown it was deserted over here at the Netball Centre and we were able to walk around and collect the relevant clues for this multi. After checking our solution and making a slight adjustment to the coordinates we were off to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC Jupiterpearl and bringing us to this area which we had never visited before despite being frequent visitors to Jells Park. Some great new courts here now. TNLN.

Found @7:19 AM #7921
Been watching and waiting for this to come back online and a yipee when the notification came in. With a multi calendar square to fill this was ideal for a mid week morning grab. Do enjoy multis was able to skip visiting WP2 as it was still not directly accessible with the check sum used instead. Can see an eye watering amount of $$$ has been spent here, looking very nice.
Also today is the last day of Lockdown (for now...). Big Grin [^]

16-Oct-21
After an aborted walk around the flooded late, I wandered over this way and thought I’d have a go at this recently enabled cache.

The required details were easy to access and after a walk to GZ the cache was quickly found in good order. A great new facility in place here. I wondered if this would remain open to the public at all times or if it would be locked up given the expense invested.

Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache and for contributing to the game.

Courts are almost finished - all Waypoints accessible -and new number of spot lights able to be seen - formula adjusted to reach same WP - Checked cache a few days ago at GZ - It is still in play ready for a find after a long spell unloved .

14-Jul-21
Works still underway re resurfacing of courts. Area surrounded by fence and waypoints not available. Continue to disable for now.

02-May-21
Court works still happening. Area all fenced off so clues not available

25-Feb-21
I'd solved this one a year ago while my daughter was playing netball on the now demolished courts, but never had time to retrieve the cache due to the number of people about and having to get my daughter home after the game for homework. Fortunately tonight the stars aligned, we had messed up our start time and had arrived an hour earlier to the game (which was being held on one of the 4 remaining inside courts). I made my way up the cache without a single set of eyes on me. I'd hoped that despite being disabled the cache was still in place (which it was). After a quick search in the wrong place, I stepped back and found the sneaky cache, I signed the log and put back in place. The cache is in good order and is well concealed. I hope the cache owner doesn't mind me logging it while it's disabled, but I'm glad to have found this one as it had been a year since solving it.

21-Dec-20
I found this cache today on my Jells Park Plus morning to stretch the legs. This one took a while to work out the final co-ords. The first two waypoints were ok but when it came to counting the lights, the outdoor netball courts were all fenced off and the light poles had all been taken down. Some still had floodlights on and some did not. Thus, I needed to use the South checksum to reconstruct that number to give me the remaining two missing digits. Once this was done, an easy pick up. Our 15th find in Jells Park with one of our own also placed here way back in 2005 and a corresponding event at the same time. Thanks from D B-A

Find #4468
Multi Find #382**

I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the lockdown. Jells Park was our destination as it was just inside my 25km radius. I arrived late and by the time I did arrive, Steve had already collected the information we needed and so it was off to GZ where a quick find was made.

**Thank-you to jupiterpearl for placing this geocache**

*Found on the 1 Nov 2020 @ 9:35 am.*
*Cache find # 11020.*

It was great to get out and about even though it’s still restricted to 25km but it was the first time in a long time that I met up with Mark to find a few caches and it was great to add this one to my list of finds.
Mark was running late so while I was waiting, I went and collected the info that was needed to work out where GZ was located, once Mark arrived we headed there and the cache was found.

**Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this cache.**

Easy to solve the multi keep eye on magpie Found your cache jupiterpearl, thank you so much for placing it.

23-Oct-20
Checked today. In play. COVID safe caching. Hundreds of muggles here today. Stealth required. Unfortunately no netball played here for months.

07-Aug-20
COVID Melbourne lockdown. This cache is beyond my 5km from home so cannot check. Everybody stay safe - let’s look forward to caching afterwards. Stay at home.

27-Jun-20
Headed out to Jells for a bit of a stroll with Trailstevo to clean up the area. Been a while since I’ve been here and with a few newish cache they circuit was complete. Found three trads and two multis, and finally Emergency Marker is complete. I had about 3 false starts on this one, not sure why I struggled before, seemed straight forward today. Thanks for the adventure.

Nice little multi, that was done quick on bike, grabbed a TB

My friend has left for a sporting committee meeting about covid guidelines for kids sports...it will be wonderful to have more recreational activities permitted going forward. Walking up here on my own, it was good to see some families using the netball courts to play whilst I walked up & down and counted.

As a kid in the 90s I spent many a winter Saturday on these type of courts and luckily I was a centre player to run around lots and keep warm. I can’t imagine how kids in Victoria play sport in the cold here! Thanks for a great afternoon Jupiter Pearl, your cache designs are always creative and well maintained.

Going to the warmth of my car now with my 10,000 steps for the day achieved.

We have been to Jells Park so many times, but we never knew that there was a Netball Complex here! We liked exploring the history, and the adventure this cache took us on. After collecting the clues, we were on our way. The cache was easily spotted upon arrival at GZ. Dropped a TB. Tftc jupiterpearl. P.S, we really liked the co-ordinate checker in the description, otherwise we would've been searching in the complete wrong place Smile

04-Mar-20
Used to play netball here when I was a teenager. I got many injuries playing on these outdoor courts. TFTC

19-Feb-20
Home from work, so we were able to search for this one. After initially miscounting the spotlights, we eventually got the correct coordinates and headed for a quick find! Nice one. TFTC Smile

Checked tonight. WP ‘s in place. Cache at final worked out coordinates. All good

17-Jan-20
I worked late last night so this gave me an earlier finish today and I decided on this multi while the sun was shining. Clues collectedand double checked. I have been in a few mixed teams over the journey so the game was familiar to me. A nice stroll to GZ and simple find.

Thanks to jupiterpearl for the placement and fun.

TFTC. We were in Wheelers Hill for Christmas lunch with family. Before lunch we went out to find a few caches. This was the last one for the morning. Our counting of lights was our down fall but we soon realised our error. Cache in good condition.

19 Sep 2019: Streak Day #203/366 (1 March 2019 - 29 February 2020). Decided to do this while on my way home. Wow so many people playing here under the lights, whilst I were collecting the clues, my eyes were experiencing discomfort due to exposure to lights. Thanks jupiterpearl for the fun.

11-Sep-19
While the daughter played in the State schools T-ball finals on one of the many fields the young son and I went for a stroll to do a little cache hunting. I'm glad I had him for cover as part of the fun was standing in the middle of the State netball competition and trying to count over all of the noise and bustle! Razz

Cheers jupiterpearl, thanks for bringing us here.

26-Aug-19
We had found some nearby caches and decided to try this multi before heading home. We parked outside the centre and were surprised at how much activity going on - school children playing netball, t-ball, softball ... So a little care was required. We collected the required information and after a couple of mis-steps in calculations we soon had the coordinates which matched the check-sums. A short walk and a quick search had the cache in hand. TFTC

13-Aug-19
Not a player to be seen! Played this all time popular game when it was called basketball and mum organised the umpires for Waverley competition when the courts were at the pool. TFTC and info!

08-Aug-19
I was out wasting some time while the daughter was at an event in the area and decided to grab a few more caches in this area. We had been here before for a picnic but I don't remember even looking at what caches were here and I certainly did not know there was a netball centre. On arrival it looked as though I may have chosen the wrong time as there were alot of other people also arriving but decided to try and see if I could gather the required information. Just look like you belong. Well I didnt feel like I did belong but was able to quickly gather the required information and head out to final gz.

Quick find at gz after completing another in the area. But I am a little puzzled with the cards. Or at least with a couple of them. Fun cache and all in excellent condition.

Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.
Found at 4:57 pm on 8/8/19.

Good luck

25-May-19
Last cache of the day for G' of GJMMelb and I, we added to the difficulty a bit by chosing a stormy late Sunday afternoon to try for this one - but on the plus side there weren't many muggles around either. The first couple of waypoints weren't too difficult (although G' didn't appear to have them showing on his GPS), we made a blunder in counting though that meant that our first "GZ" was in the middle of a grassy sportsfield... Luckily we knew where the likely problem lay and revisited this spot, finding more objects this time around (not quite sure how we missed them the first time?....) Recalculating, this time GZ looked more promising and with fading light and the weather turning I was lucky enough to spot the cache hide first Smile TFTC jupiterpearl

25-May-19
This was the last cache of the afternoon for Quiet1_au and I today. We drove in and found the first few clues ok. I had trouble finding the waypoints fortunately Q had them in his GPS. W gathered the waypoint from the last location in the fading light. I did the caclulations and then we headed to Gz. This turned out to be in the middle of the baseball/softball field. We then went back and checked all our numbers. There was really only one place we could have gone wrong so re recounted and then headed off to a new Gz. This time it was correct and Q found the cache in an obvious spot. Thanks jupiterpearl

In the area with my Geo wife putting some smiles on the map.
After doing the required work we made our way to Gz and soon had the log stamped.
Cheers for the cache.

16-Apr-19
I remember when this was first published and debating whether to go for a FTF. Glad I didn't as I needed a multi for today and they are becoming fewer and further between, the longer I cache. It'll be a relief to end the 31 day streak at the end of this month.
Back to the cache.
A well executed and mostly easy to understand multi. A minor quibble with the eastings, you might like to make the fact that each of the values in one section are to be multiplied by 2 as opposed to added. Mind you, even if one proceeded in error the checksum would clarify things pretty quickly.
Once at GZ I had a little trouble finding anything. Clearly others had been to the same spot given the flattened grass and disturbed earth around the base of the trees. After finding nothing I let the phone settle and it led me to the other, more impressive tree with a bit of promising camo. Yep, there it was and I breathed a sigh of relief.

09-Mar-19
Returned today to check the info but soon realised it was my math that was wrong. Finally saw the light and with some sensible numbers, I was off to find the cache. With no one around and my numbers being spot on, I soon had the log signed and returned to its hide. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams

*20 Feb 2019, Found @3:29 pm, Find # 2481.*

Needing a multi to fullfill a requirement for a challenge and this one was my closest from my work. Gathered the required information and made a quick find at GZ

**Thanks to jupiterpearl for placing this cache.**

09-Feb-19
After attending the event nearby we decided on the spur of the moment to head north and knock off some more multis around Jells Park. The rain had passed over and the sun was now shining allowing us to enjoy the location and walk as we made the finds. Once we were satisfied with our counting we made a quick find at GZ.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the multi.

08-Feb-19
I'm not a big fan of multi's as the numbers can sometimes be interpreted differently, luckily this one worked out first time. Thanks for the cache

05-Feb-19
I finally found this place relatively empty except for a learner driver who was practising reverse parking. They had no interest in what I was doing so I proceeded to gather information and go and find the cache which was safely hidden not too far away. When I returned to the carpark the muggles were coming! I guess finding this cache is all about the timing. Thanks jupiterpearl for creating and maintaining this cache.

02-Feb-19
After successfully getting two smiley on two nearby multis we decided to go for "just one more". I was able to gather some of the clues while geopartner got the geobrats back into the car and a quick driveby had the first clue in hand. Then the calculations were quickly done and we debated what to do next - walk from here? drive and walk? come back another day? Eventually we decided to try the drive and walk - geopartner offered to retrieve the cache. We'll always remember this one as he accidentally left his glasses case on the fence as he went through and only realised when he found it upon his return. Thank you jupiterpearl for this one. It is a great facility. TFTC

Find #10003
Multi #751

Stopped in after work for a bit of a walkaround. Initially mis-counted the lights, but on detailed inspection, re-checked and the numbers seemed good. Off I went and was soon at GZ. Had to rescue a small bird that had gotten itself caught in the prickles nearby, once that was done, the cache was soon found.

Many thanks to jupiterpearl for the cache. TNLN.

Ran into Riddell at the previous cache and off we all went together to find this cache! Dad and I argued over the math while Mum and Riddell gossiped.

An easy find at the end destination. Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl!

I was in the area tonight cleaning up a local multi and I noticed this newish multi had popped up. I know this netball centre well (my wife plays A LOT) and collected the info with no problems. There were a lot of netballers playing tonight - I hope I didnt look too creepy walking around staring at floodlights! At GZ I made the cool find - loved the hiding spot! Lots of fun, TFTC!

24-Nov-18
I’m not sure if I was lucky or unlucky to have the netball centre so busy today. I *think* I blended in with the other spectators as I walked around collecting clues. Eventually I had GZ worked out, and headed off, hoping it was correct. It was, and I soon found the cache. Thanks so much for placing this multi cache jupiterpearl

21-Nov-18
Nice sunny day for a walk and pick up a cache or two.

21-Nov-18
Found this one this afternoon while grabbing a few caches out this way. I pulled up in the car park around 5 pm just before peak hour in Netball terms. By the time I had the first part of the numbers sorted the car park was rapidly filling with plenty of parents dropping off their daughters. I managed to quickly locate the next set of numbers and then went for a short stroll and quick count and found myself a nice quiet area to do a little google search and then crunch the numbers and soon had a reasonable set of co-ord's and went for a wander and soon found myself at the gz and quickly had the cache container in hand. After signing the log and returning the cache I headed back to my car in the now full car park and had to smile to myself with the sight of all these parents now sitting in their cars by themselves with their heads buried into the glow of their phones. Maybe there could be a need for a mixed adults netball competition on the same nights of the kids training. Thanks jupiterpearl for the neat little multi and the hide.

Here for a netball tournament today and what a great way to spend some time between games

Over the last few weeks of sporting activities KenneallyKrew and I collected data for calculating coordinates. A tournament today was the perfect opportunity to make the find. TFTC.

Find number 6919 at 2:53:57 pm
I had a little free time this afternoon so ducked out for a couple of quick ones.
The last clue confused me but I came up with some convoluted sequence that gave me some numbers that work. This gave me a GZ that seamed OK so off I went and arrived in the middle of a well manicured lawn area with a few sparse trees and no hope of there being a hidden prize. Hmm, what now. Looking at a location about 40 meters away I thought, if I were to hide a cache, I'd put one there for sure and what do you know Smile
Lucked this one for sure.
**Thanks for placing this cache jupiterpearl**

We decided to head to Jells Park for a walk this morning and make the most of the nice weather. After a pleasant stroll around the lake, we headed back to the car and I saw there was a new multi nearby. It was easy enough to find the information needed at the different way points, and we took advantage of the seats nearby to work out the coordindates for GZ. One of the bits of information didn't make sense to me (I must have been tired), but with the checksum I was able to determine the missing number. It was a quick find at GZ in a logical location. TFTC!

14-Oct-18
Yesterday I jumped on the bike for the first time since July and it felt good to be out and about. Today I felt like I had to get out and I focussed in on 4 multi's around Jells park. I knew that they would send me all over the place...A great chance to get a bit of exercise.

I must admit that I did misread one of the bits of information that I had to gather which made it difficult to resolve the coordinates...In the end I managed to sort myself out and get a sensible set of coordinate.

At the GZ it was a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Found on 7 Oct 2018 at 4:43 pm.
The weather was perfect today so after a couple of morning errands and a nice lunch I headed out on the bike for a few caches in my 15km zone. I also wanted to rectify a couple of DNF's I had outstanding as well which I managed to do. It was fairly quiet on the bike trails today as well which was surprising but good for me and my searches.
The gates at the start were closed today but not enough to not get the bike through. A few people still playing netball but it didn't stop me gathering clues.
A short ride later and the cache was in hand.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I spent most of the day clearing the garden around the spa area, and needed a timeout. I had noticed this multi when it was published, and decided today was a perfect opportunity to head over here. Unfortunately the gates were closed today, but after a quick walk up to the first wp to grab that info, I was able to park in the neighbours parking lot and wandered over to grab the rest of the info. Before long I had the nice-sized cache in hand. I left a pathtag for the next finder.

I definitely didn't bring my A game with me today. I arrived and parked near the starting coords as suggested - the gates were closed anyway!
I couldn't figure out why there was no plaque to be seen... until I realised that was the information needed at WP1, not the starting coords! With that information noted, I then strolled to WP1 and 2, gathered all the info and then did a little netball research.
With the place being eerily quiet (no netball on, and Grand Final day), I made my way to GZ. The coords had me no where in particular, with some lone trees nearby. And no cache to be seen. So I went over my notes again - oh dear, how did I screw up M? With a new GZ nearby, I headed on over and made the quick find.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the fun multi!

GAme on! The thought of playing under light WAs very tempting but as I needed to pass by this morning the decision WAs made to play in daylight.
Rising an hour *or so* earlier than planned I made a slight detour to Jells Park.
The preliminary finals were played out beforehand and the qualifying game at the WNC.
Moving straight though into the Grand Final the games were played out.
The referees consulted.
GAme over. Smile
The final result:
{FTF} # 187 @ 6:24
Thank you for the morning exercise jupiterpearl
I continued on down to the lake before returning to the beginning.
A beaut spot for some much needed exercise. [^]
