On our brief escape from the old work before starting at the new - this was all miles from the "rat race".The Purrfect one said let's go caching, and Jack came to help out! Fun drive, short walk, great views near sunset, real caching at its finest! A fav from us A cache a day keeps the boredom away... [:o)]Thank you for this cache listing thewhitedoggang and it's ongoing care. ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Purrfect Di helps out a lot. And even Jack. Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)] I do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log... someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs. Is that all? Oh well, thanks for reading!Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! Much catching up of logs lately, as barely enough time to cache around work and logging has hit a pause... but, you know, prioriities... work's just gotta leave time for a cache and notes everywhere! C'est fini... For now... ... until then Ce sera !-------------------------------Oh wait... have you snagged a tag lately ? Get out there and see snagthetag dot com for a fun side game that gives f t f chasers and sparkly thing chasers something extra fun to do... It's a game where giving a little and becoming a hider shows your support and keeps the fun alive for all. And there are NO BL**DY MINT TINS so it must be good Enjoy
On our travels we found ourselves at the old gold mine ruins and of course took the opportunity to grab this cache and nice slow walk up the hill to find the cache in excellent condition, thanks for the cache and the fantastic view
Whilst out this way, stopped by here too.
Ran into grey nomads right at GZ, also checking out the view...
Managed to spot the cache while they were on otherside, but it was smashed!
Went back to car for a replacement cache and baggie, by which time they had moved on.
The logbooks are fine and now in a small sistema with a few of the cute swaps too.
Alas I didn't have a painted one.
Thanks TWDG

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to thewhitedoggang for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Found with friends on the first day of our bush caravanning holiday. Forgot to bring a pen so didn't sign log. Thanks for the cache and the information.
Heading to Arkaroola for the Easter break and stopped off here. Spent a bit of time walking around and found this cache.
This is a pretty cool location , lots to explore great photo opportunities, wandered around for a good hour
Looking in the distance there looks like there’s plenty more to explore next time
Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ️

Camped nearby here last night and walked up the hill for a quick find. TNLN. Thanks whitedoggang for giving us another reason to come to this historic site.
I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again.
Seven cachers set off in Four 4WD vehicles using satellites to search for caches in and around Arkaroola and the Gammon Ranges. [^] The Six day Arkaroola Odyssey had begun.
Day 6: A few last caches and head for home.
What a great little detour to visit this old mine site. Cache quickly located it was time for a little exploring.
***Thanks thewhitedoggang for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We had headed north for some serious 4WD in Arkaroola and the Gammons. Time to go home. Today is Saturday and we are on a flat super highway after the bull dust ridden road/track/trail/rock filled creek beds of the past five days. Found heading south from the Gammon and the Ark. Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Found on a fun 4WD trip in this spectacular landscape. Thanks for the cache.
Found during our return back to Adelaide via Yunta from a caching trip to Arkaroola and the Vulkathunna-Gammon Ranges National Park in the northern Flinders Ranges for the week. Really enjoyed the spectacular landscapes, the 4WD tracks, and the walking and rock-climbing in the quest for some challenging caches in a remote region of the State. Thanks for the cache thewhitedoggang!
This week a small group of us headed up from Adelaide to the northern Flinders Ranges to do some exploring and find a few caches. Although a couple of us had spent some time in the area before, it was new country to most of the group.
The main aim was to find the caches in and around Arkaroola and the Vulkathunna-Gammon Ranges National Park. These were mostly Traditionals, but also included a Multi and an Earthcache. There were also three older Traditional caches that had been archived a couple of years ago but were still in place.
We had some fun navigating around the various roads and 4WD tracks and walking and scrambling up and down the hills and creek lines. It certainly is a very spectacular and rugged part of the state.
The weather was pretty good with a few beautiful still, clear and sunny days although there were also a couple of very windy days. The nights were mostly cold though, with temperatures around zero degrees on a couple of nights.
All of the cache containers and logbooks found were in good condition.
This cache was as found on the final day of our trip and was a quick find as we headed back to Adelaide via Yunta, Peterborough and Burra. An interesting area.
Thanks thewhitedoggang for the cache.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today, we travelled from Yunta to Waukaringa Ruins where we spent the night.
Up the hill we went. Oh, I remember now, this is why we love geocaching. The cache was found and duly signed. Thanks thewhitedoggang for a wonderful find

Well this was interesting! Looking for a regular container with only one log, looked down and there was a small container with several logs! Obviously a previous cache which has been archived! Looked a bit further along and found the right one! Decided to sign both log books . What an awesome area, so much history. Walked right up to the top of the ridge for a magnificent 360 degree view. Checked out the little cemetery nearby - life must have been tough. Interesting underground tank on the way up - huge and still holding water. If only the water could be got out and made available to the kangaroos - we've never seen so many dead ones. Not road kill, just dead in their caves and in creek beds from lack of water . Thanks for placing a cache in this fascinating and barren area.
Found It!
I've been watching this one since it got published a month ago. I was kind of expecting Freddo to detour past here last weekend on the way to the Flinders Ranges. But he didn't and the cache remained unfound so today I just had to go claim FTF! A bit of a drive out here but a quick find once I got there and FTF at 3pm! Interesting history, spend a bit of time here wandering around looking at things. Must have been a hard life mining gold out here!
