Muggled yet again, likely by the same turd what got it a few months back. Time for this cache to die, thanks to those who found it..!!
Cache has recently been damaged with critical bits missing. Will endeavor to fix in the next month or so..
While up North chasing GCA caches for the Battleship games we stopped to find this cache with Tassie Trekkers. It was late afternoon as we headed out to the extremeties and the sun was just starting to set. We located the hide fairly quickly but unfortunately the log was missing. We confirmed with a previous finder that we were in the right spot and replaced the log and added a bag. May need a check as part of the cache container appears to be missing. By the time we returned to the car park it was dark. A lovely walk. TFTC
While out and about today with whitewebbs we enjoyed the stroll to GZ.
We identified the cache hide and signed the temporary log.

This place has been on my tourist list for a while. Couldn't get home last year, so this was the year to do it. Surprised how big the area is. Muggles left the area, just as I approached. 1st place I laid my hands. Super quick find...must have packed the geosenses today. Fav pt for construction. TFTC
Great great cache took us a while including down several wrong possibilities.. like many before should have gone back to the first place we looked .. no pen ..so pic of the geokid with log ... beautiful spot for a walk today .. definite favourite from us
Top spot, cool hide. Had to hang onto the log tightly today to avoid losing it in the wind. Thanks for bringing me here, enjoyed the walk. TFTC
Great hide. Tricky for the geokids with me, but easy for me as it's what I would do. Tftc.
Brilliant hide!!! Found with Maw Panda and geocache cadet.
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
Found it right under the noses of many “muggles” from my walking group. Great place and perfect weather with a picnic lunch nearby. Tftc
Went to this hiding spot first but don't try hard enough. Then tried every other spot possible great hide
Thanks for the cache dankpig.
In Launceston for the weekend with RLD4963. Have always wanted to visit the Tamar Island Wetlands, so with the GeoGSP at home at his local doggy resort, and the weather looking far better than forecast, we headed off to find the geocaches out in this reserve.
We really enjoyed the walk out to the island, and were surprised at the number of people we passed - and groups of all types, young couples, old couples, students, young families, groups of friends, little kids - and everyone was super friendly - a pleasant byproduct of the recent COVID19 shutdown appears to be that everyone is now happy to acknowledge each other when they are out and about on their walks.
Clever hide at GZ - we managed to retrieve and sign the log between groups of muggles. So calm and peaceful today, the reflections were spectacular.

out and about caching with 1 Rafa today, an easy find with clues TFTC TNLN log dry.
With a slight easing of Covid-19 restrictions, the reserve has reopened, so back in business.. thanks..!!
The Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve has been closed in line with COVID-19 social distancing policy of the Tasmanian Government with the closure of reserves and national parks. Will enable this cache when the reserve reopens.. thanks..!!
24-2 Wat hebben we gelachen, zo moeilijk kan het hier toch niet zijn ...... ook nog even de waterhoogte meter bekeken
We laughed a lot, it can't be that difficult here ...... also a quick look at the water level meter

Nice quick find, just took awhile to break into, last person to find must have a firm grip! Good to bring children out today tftc
Was the first place we looked then discounted it but eventually realized that something wasn’t quite what it seemed.

Well we were supposed to know it when we saw it, but three of us knew nothing. Sigh. There is always something new out there to find and sadly today we did not. Still we do know a lot more about this structure than we expected to. Enjoyed the walk on this bracing winter's day. TFTC
As you can see it's not much of a day but that also means there is no one else about.
Clever hide.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a coat today and was very wet by the time I returned to the car.Enjoyed the walk and made a quick find but didn’t hang around at Gz as the rain was closing in TNLN TFTC
Catching up on old logs. Hope I got the date right. Found this while on holiday with Lekker_Ding. Lovely area and although a little rushed we really enjoyed this one. Thanks dankpig
Great sunny day, forgot pen and my wife found it. Great hide, no wonder it has dnf. Great cache
We're spending a couple of days in Launceston visiting friends, and as always we're making sure to take a little time to pick up a few caches!
We started today with a visit to Tamar Island. We had a lovely stroll out to the island on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. It's a great spot for a cache - definitely quite the scenic location! It was definitely worth the walk to the end of the track, not just for the cache, but also for the location itself!
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot.

Found this cache while exploring the wetlands on a rather nice sunny day. It was a bit of a lucky find and was able to spot and discover it reasonably quickly cheers for a fun and very cool cache.
Beautiful evening for a stroll out to the island.
Being familiar with the CO’s hides, I spotted this one from a short distance away.
Nice stealthy hide, love these ones, and a top location to go with it.
Thanks for another awesome cache.
Cheers

A nice walk out along the board walk, bit many out for a walk this morning. On arrival at GZ there weren’t many spot to search so I felt around and came up with the goods, enjoyed the sneaky hide.
Today I decided to go for a walk out to Tamar island to collect the new cache, I came about a year ago and found the rest. I got a few others near by too.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Looked everywhere? Has anyone seen it recently? Saw a spot it might have been once.
Out for a walk with a friend who was amazed and impressed. An instant find and quick log and replace TFTC
Woohoo! A clean log sheet, can’t claim a FTF though as it’s a re-enabled cache. Favorite point for the cache construction. TFTC
Took a while to get back out to the island to replace the missing piece. Back in action and good to go.. thanks..!!
thanks for the heads up from Goldenwattle and Timroza, cache has been damaged and is in need of maintenance, will endeavour to repair in the coming week or two
I thought it might have been something to unscrew or the like; especially the one that didn't go far, but I couldn't budge them.
Nice day for a walk out to the island and to pick up this recent cache that popped up a very good inplain sight cache tftc
It was such a beautiful spring day that we decided to take a walk to Tamar Island after fulfilling our lunch time engagement in Ulverstone.
The strongish breeze was quite cold as we began our walk along the boardwalk and most tourists we met on our way in were very well rugged up.
As we reached the end of the line we spotted a possible hide. As there were no muggles around we were able to investigate the suspect object and soon had the cache in hand. Container and log were in excellent condition.
Thanks for this well crafted cache dankpig. It was good to have an excuse to make this walk again on such a beautiful afternoon. We saw plenty of water birds, many with chicks while in the area. We also saw a goose masquerading as a white swan and a large reed nest beside the boardwalk. A favorite point added for the well constructed hide and the enjoyable walk.

Thanks for this great little hide, I saw it on approach and just loved it! It would have been interesting getting it out here and set up. So thanks for an amazing cache and another first to find for this week...great being on holidays, I can just race out as the mood takes me. And a great walk.
Great day for a walk out to the island. Lots of other people taking advantage of the good weather and going out for a walk as well. TFTC
