another day out caching with agazo, some caches you have to spend more time on, nothing wrong with that when you find it, tftc
Nufrat and I took advantage of the excellent weather to collect lots of caches around Oamaru. TFTC.
Sorry no find for me today, looking at the hint item and putting Weka's coords in, it still came up without a smiley..

This one was located using WEKA's co-ordinates and even then it was still a bit of a search. TFTC

Arrived in Oamaru for one night stay. After setting up camp, having lunch and reading the ODT it was time to go sign off a few caches. I had intended to revisit Holmes Wharf but when I spied the crowds I decided to seek caches out west. Like others before me, I found that the coordinates were obviously out. I searched the 2 examples of fence post reinforcers within 30m of published coords each a couple of times, but sadly DNFd.
I didn't have any luck in the short time I put into this. Now, reading earlier logs I think I 'll do better next visit.
Took ages to find as my phone had me 16 metres away at GZ. Went for instinct and found it
Nice easy find with coconuts3 on our last full day in this area. Will apologise for the cut and paste on these logs, but we thank you for the caches and placing them for our enjoyment. The log was mushy, so a replacement was used.
Out with busy paws today doing the river series. Found the cache but log was mush so we put in a replacement log. Thanks for the cache erninz.
Today was my second day of cyclocaching out from Weston, this time to visit all the caches on the way to the Kakanui River. I searched for this cache twice today - once on the way to the river and once as I was returning home. Could find nothing within 15m either side of the coords.
A great afternoon to get out on the bike and find a few caches. Didn't find this on the first pass. Not sure how I missed it as it was in the first place I had looked. TFTC
Easter break and it’s time to catch up on the year to date coins. Spotted the”Take Me to the River” series and being a Talking Heads fan I decided this was the series for us today. Drove from Mosgiel, stopping in at Palmerston for a McGregor’s mutton pie we parked at the Round Hill road intersection and set off down Robb’s Crossing Road on foot. Returned to the car and did the rest by park and grab.
Almost gave up on this one then decided to check GOS again. Hint item didn’t seem to match the found location but coordinates were close enough to be correct.

A quick little power trail heading north! Very little space to pull of in most places, just as well the roads were quiet! TFTC!!
On a 7 day caching trip with Nosynel. Second day on the road focusing on caches in North Otago. Following the wee power trail along the road. Thabks to W.E.K.A for the coordinates! Thanks for the cache.

Thanks WEKA for the correct coordinates. Jude-E spotted them on previous lohd. Jude_E and I stayed in Waimate tonight. The plan is to explore the Oamaru area today. I haven't done this since the Geofest in 2017. Thanks erninz for creating this hide. It was find 8609 for me.

#18020. Widened the search area (as per previous logs) and it didn't take long to track down the cache. TFTC.
Day 3 and the last day of StreetWalkerNZ and my 3 day weekend in and around Oamaru. The plan is to head out early to find a few caches on the Cormacks Kia Ora Rd then return to base for a coffee then pack up the car.
We had noted from the logs that the co-ords were out, so after searching a few likely spots, the cache was found as per previous logs. TFTC.

Out with Waitaki Girls High school geocaching group "Cookies" and Taldarth and managed to find a few we didn't already have! We also found co-ordinates out by around 20m. TFTC
TFTC Found while taking a group girls from Waitaki Girls High School geocaching as part of their activities week.
Alerted by previous logs that the coordinates were inaccurate, we worked our way through several potential hiding spots before finding the cache about 16 metres from the coordinates. Our coordinates were S45 04.890 E170 52.108. TFTC
Took a bit of looking. My GPS had me 19m from the published coordinates. Cheers.
Seems like forever since we have been to Oamaru, This weekend fixed that!
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

With Karma Reprint. Had to get out of the car and interrupt my emailing to help. Took a while due to coordinates but success in the end. Tftc
Fun day driving, walking and cycling in a fresh caching patch in North Otago. Weather was perfect.
On a Saturday mission around the district to tidy up all those unfound and dnf caches. Have bike in town to speed up the day .. and maybe get a few clues along the way
Turning that frown upside down did take a while tftc

Heading away for the weekend on a Geo Murder Mystery adventure. This cache contained one of the clues needed and after a bit of a detour off the main highway I soon arrived at GZ. Took awhile and co ords 18m out for me too TFTC
After having to get down and under the car to do abit of DIY road side fixing due to geting stuck looking for a preivous cache (and having many cars just drive on past) I managed to find this the cache pretty easy. Doing the mystery at the museum challenge this was a cache I needed. Left my caching day here today unfortunately as was hoping to get all Jewels I needed. TFTC
Quickly found 18m away
Caching today with NZ Bozzy - finding some more smiles after reaching the 500 points for the favourites souvenir.
Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining all the caches we found today

A "mini Power Trail". Hobbled in and out of the car for each of these after falling down a bank at an earlier cache. Had a strict time limit for each cache on my race around the area today and when this hadn't turned up by the deadline I had to move on. Now I see that others have found co-ords to be out by 15-20m. Noted for next time.
I had parked my snail shell up iin Oamaru at the A&P Showgrounds so that I can find a few caches to fulfil my personal challenge of having my GC.COM calender a set shade of green. I need to sign off 6 caches today.
This power trail will do very nicely. Like the previous cacher I also found it 18 m away from my GZ.
Cheers for the cache.

Scrolling thru last night, I stumbled on a new trail a couple of k's away from where we are staying for the weekend, got up early this morning and away we went. We wandered around initially a little lost, but eventually found about 15m away from co-ords. Found with Tuitigger. TFTC
Went for obvious reinforcer, but widened search wisely and found quickly. My coords had me 18m away.
Sitting at home logging the days, caches then the email started going nuts, new caches close by, well have to go for a look, this one was about 20m out for me but it in the obvious spot. - Thanks Bitsprayer
