This was a quick find for me today in the first place that I checked. All is well with the cache, thanks very much.
2nd attempt at this one yielded the goods.
I know my phones GPS can be inaccurate, and I know this type of environment will affect it. This cache was near around 8~10m out.
This is just an observation for anyone reading this.
TFTC.
Cheers.
Sleepy was here!

Heading into the big smoke for the day, took a quick detour to continue this series. Tried to go off the phone GPS but bouncing around way too much so we put it away and started the search. We must have done almost a full circle around the cache before spotting the obvious hint object.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Having a focus on the Top series today. After a false start figuring the way in, found an easier route with a bit of lateral thinking. Checked several hint objects before finding the one that I really should have seen earlier. All good in cache, tftc!
That probably took me way longer than it should have, taking a trail that had me navigating blackberry- tricky going in and even trickier trying to get out! Take #2 and was led into a lovely piece of bush that gives you the feeling of what this whole area was once like- sigh!
My first of this series- many thanks

Did a maintenance run with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter, Violet Butterfly and Ezratar. Never knew this entrance existed. Thanks for the catchup and cache.
Did today with Crystal Fairy, Ezra Tar and Violet Butterfly on a maintenance run with the CO. Thanks!

As New Zealand is at COVID-19 Level 4, one must be safe if geocaching. I am not disabling my caches, as this could be a good opportunity for local people to start a new hobby. However if you are going caching during the lockdown, please follow these common sense suggestions:
*Use gloves when touching commonly touched items
*Only walk to the cache from your home - if it is too far away, save it for another time
*Keep your social distance - probably best to cache alone
*More than ever, be aware of muggles and leave a cache rather than cause suspicion that could see you get into trouble
*I will accept dated photos of the cache/log rather than a signature during both Level 3 and Level 4
Stay safe

Needed a cache today to deal to a dot day. This was it. Took a while to figure out which direction the coords were leading me. Once I got on top of that it didn’t take long to locate the cache, mostly thanks to the hint. #2861. TFTC.
#7433. I need to get back into this series. Have a scattering of codes gathering dust. So while in Porirua this afternoon I added this one to the list of caches to find. Finding the access road and best route to GZ wasn't overly easy as it is an area I have never ventured into before. But parked downhill and set off up the road way. A local mowing his lawn waved out so I said hello and exchanged pleasantries. They must be wondering about the extra foot traffic up here on days without sports. I remember watching Jerry Collins in action. In fact even got his signature after a Lions match some years back. His tackling was from an era when players hit each other hard and didn't take prisoners. With the current shenanigans we have at the rugby world cup it wont be long before the All Blacks will be playing touch rugby only. Sad to lose the gladiators we all enjoyed watching like Jerry. But I digress. Found a route in under the trees and checked the hint. The place a few metres in front of me fitted that description nicely and the container was soon in hand. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Then out and back to the car.
Nice quick find with woolwood9 today.
Trying to get a few finds before the rain comes through.
Some games just finishing so heaps of muggles - jumped the fence and into a lovely little bush area.
*Thanks for putting this good series out. SL*

Spur of the moment cache whilst in the area… headed up the track which appeared to be going in the right direction, and delved into the bush armed only with a smartphone — but had cache in hand shortly after. Some research has gone into this! Cheers TWD
I did like the hint. Mind you there were a fair few of them at GZ. It didn't take long to work out which one, though, and there was the cache. Log duly signed and replaced. All safe and dry.

Parked beside the top carpark, which was locked. Short walk up to the changing shed though. Pushed my way into the trees and followed the GPSr. Terrain was steeper than the cache rating, but the accuracy among the trees was low, so I ended up searching using the hint. Eventually found the nicely hidden container. Thanks for another ToP cache.
Had a great time finding this one... Had a slight diversion but got there in the end. Beautiful and secluded spot to hear all the birdsong!
Find # 197. Had a fun time with Aros71 this one! All in good order. Lovely spot to visit. Got to only real possible hide with no problem. Rather wish we'd parked at the top car park but got some good exercise! Cache in VGC. TFTC & Happy New Year!
First for a morning geocaching in Porirua.
A quick, but lucky find.
Cache in excellent order.
Thanks

I went up towards the top carpark, but finding the gate locked I parked on the street and walked up to the building. It didn't seem like there was much in the way of heading to the GZ until I explored a little around and spotted an opening into the bush. From there I headed straight for a location matching the hint and looked suitable and with a bit of foraging, I had the cache in hand. All good here. TFTC
(# 4853). Woke up very early this morning and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get back to sleep. So I hauled myself out of bed and decided to grab a few caches before the real world woke up. A quick find in a nice little wooded area thanks to the clue. Grabbed the code. Everything in order. TFTC
Another area I hadn't visited previously. I overlooked the obvious entry and, by doing so, elevated the terrain rating by a notch or two. However, I soon found myself in some more open ground but it still took a bit of effort to locate the cache which fits into its surroundings very well. I actually missed it on the first pass but a more intense search the second time round worked a treat.
Didn’t expect to end in the bush so a little adventure on this one. A very quick find. Lived not far from here as a child. Fond memories of this area, although rougher than I remember it.

Enjoying the great weather today to catch up a bit on the ToP series. I had never visited here before so it was much appreciated to be brought here.

Excellent weather today so I decided to come and clean up some unfound caches in the Porirua region. I didn't expect to find this one particularly quickly but it was in the first place I checked. Signed log, recorded code, TFTC.
#10,454. Another stop in the Tour of Porirua series … this time in Trust Porirua Park in Porirua East. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Relatively quick find, even though the GPS was pointing to 11 metres away. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

This is one geographically lonely cache! I have explored this suburb a couple of times to see if there was somewhere to put a cache or two but obviously that didn't happen. Approaching GZ was disconcerting because it didn't look like there was a way to get closer than 20m but I found an opening and beyond it a more cache-friendly environment, I don't know where my head was at but I forgot to note the code so a return visit is in my future. I did have a pen though so the log is signed.
When leaving the suburb I took a wrong turn despite sort-of knowing my way around here and got a bit more tour than anticipated. Thanks for taking me to another part of Porirua I hadn't visited before.

Just time to get this one whilst doing last minute W2W stuff. More of a walk than I thought it would be (I had to walk up from the bottom), but all quiet around GZ. Took a bit of finding though! Agree with a previous log, would not want to do this in the dark. TFTC - another one towards the 2.5+ component of the DGSC challenge.
I can not recommend doing this one in the dark. Much slipping and sliding around by torch light as the GPS wandered around, and exploring various options until final success. A fun find on a Tuesday night. TFTC
Made a detour to an area I don’t visit all that often. Took me a few minutes to track down. GPS was doing what it likes doing under the trees. TFTC
