I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

Hi Kiwi864

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Found with NZDi. We were down here in Canterbury for the third time since September for follow-up treatment on NZDi's ongoing health issues. The specialist appointment was yesterday and after some big city retail therapy this morning, we allocated some time for a bit of geocaching this afternoon.

We chose the McLeans Island horse riding area as it had a good looking circuit which would not tax NZDi too much. Funnily enough the only horse we saw was being put into it's float at the end of a ride. Other than ourselves, the predominant users of the track appeared to be women walking their dogs or pushing their babies in buggies, and in a couple of case doing both.

This was our ninth find of the afternoon and was a QEF for NZDi. Another themed song I hate to admit I am unfamiliar with as I like Pearl Jam's music. However another regular size cache, so another opportunity to divest myself of one of the TBs we've been carrying around for far too long.

Logs were signed with the date and our caching names in full where the space allowed or the date and KM & ND where space was limited.

Another quick find, TFTC Kiwi864.

Today I was at McLeans island, mainly because there are a series of dog walk friendly caches here and my main job while here is keeping my sister’s dog with me at all times.
So Jed the reluctant geo-terrier was along for the ride, and I think he appreciated the flat nature of the terrain today. It took us almost 2 hours to saunter through the caches in the area by which time my other sister gave me a call, on cue, and my priorities for the day changed.
But a very successful walk, in that all caches were found and in good condition, so thanks all COs, especially Kiwi864.

I took my bike for a ride in this forest area mid-afternoon with the hope of picking up at least six caches. As it turned out, I located 15 of the 16 I looked for. This one took a couple of minutes. I was barking up the wrong tree (so to speak) initially.

#2908. Thanks, Kiwi864, for all these caches. It’s a great setting here, providing a very enjoyable and rewarding outing!

I needed 3 cache finds today for a calendar challenge I have set myself, so decided another trip to the McLeans Island area was in order, to find some caches that StreetWalkerNZ has found on a solo visit.
I'm pleased SW accompanied me because the Oregon struggled here. It was pointing 40m to the left of the track while SW headed into the trees on the opposite side Red Face. Well, I'd better follow him, then. After investigating a location that didn't harbour the cache, I read the notes that he had made about the hide, and backtracked a little towards the track. I spotted a flash of a gecko disappearing into hole - obviously it was one of the cache guardians as the cache was found here Smile. A nice big container, should have brought the TB I picked up yesterday.

27-Feb-19
To continue with my personal challenge of having found a minimum of 10 caches for every day of the year I needed to find 8 caches today to bring my total finds for the 27th February up to 10 caches.

After finding one cache during a tramp near Lake Coleridge earlier in the day I knew that with a cyclocache ride later in the day in the West Melton Forest I should be able to complete my caching task. So after returning back home from the tramp and having a quick dinner I headed out to the forest with my bike. The helmet light was needed to locate this cache. Thanks for this cache series Kiwi864.

For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 11 caches today for the fourth day in a row. I won't grumble if I find one or two moreWinkRazz. I decided to have a rest from the Ahhh! Fresh Breath caches and have a 9 km bike ride in amongst some pine trees.

Cheers for the cache.
