I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

03-Oct-23
Cannot find the cache at Ascot Park

20-May-23
Needs maintenance

29-Jan-23
I found the remainings of this one. Someone had found it and then smashed it and ripped the paper

07-Dec-22
Have had the final coordinates for a while after zig zagging all over town. At final around and around I went then spotted the cache. How did I miss that the first second and third time.
Thanks for the trip around Porirua.

22-Oct-22
Need to do some recon to check some of these waypoints. Will sort and confirm when completed.

Finally after this being the closest cache to where we live for such a long time, great to have it off the list after 3.5 years. As much as I love cachers hiding caches, these types don't go down well for the Fairy half or the kids as there is nothing to "find and swap" for so many locations and by the time you're at stage 3 they've lost interest. Had to go pick up some stuff in Whitby so we made a detour past here on the way back and grabbed the cache with the geohound as well. T4TC

25-Apr-22
Did with Crystal Fairy.

16-Apr-22
Did in conjunction with another cacher. Found today after a short elimination search. Thanks.extraordinary.Hayzz!

Thanks for this log note - when we placed the cache originally we informed the occupants of the nearby houses, maybe they'd forgotten or else new people moved in. Any case. I'll re-inform them.

Just a word of warning for anyone searching for #3 in Camborne. The kids took a couple of visits before they found this one so we were at the location for around 10 minutes each time. About 30 minutes after we finally found it, we got visited by the police as some guy had reported us for stashing drugs as he’d seen some kids running around with a pill box so he took our car’s rego and rang the police.

18-Oct-19
Found the first waypoint and are on our way!!

16-Oct-19
Starting the tour. Good first find!

03-Aug-19
I've slowly worked my way through all the stages over the last few months, and found myself in the right part of town this afternoon to call around to the final location.
For me the final container was the trickiest of all the stages to locate, but I tracked it down after a few minutes.
Thanks very much for an interesting multi-cache.

I've been slowly working my way through the series since the beginning of February. One or two I found quite hard to find.I had things completed by the 25th of February but decided to wait until the Carnival had started before looking for the final cache. Took me a few moments to find the final one. Cheers and TFTC

I was excited when I saw this new cache pop up just before Christmas as I do like a good multi..... and when I read through the details, I realised this would be just the thing to pick up a stage at a time as I was passing, or the lad was at swimming practice in Tawa and I had an hour to kill... So this is how the series started, and was picked off a location or two at a time over a month or so.

Many and varied combinations of 3 words were encountered in the course of completing this series, some of them were uttered by me and unprintable!

Most of the locations and finds were (more or less) straightforward, although I did have problems with Papakōwhai (Muggle central - I recommend a drizzly evening to search, and I overthought the hint!), Paremata (W3W was a bit out for me), and Rānui (DNF'd once, PAF'd, muggled out the 2nd time, but fortunately a quick find 3rd time around).

I wasn't intending going for the final this evening, but with the final words in my hands, and the challenge of a dying phone battery, I couldn't resist. Some construction work hampered my optimal route, but I got there eventually. Fortunately, my phone battery lasted long enough for me to get to the general area, and for the search to begin. I should have known the CO wouldn't make it easy... but I decided the only real way forward was to search all likely hint items and hope for the best. My first sweep came up empty, but once I looked a little harder I was soon able to add the most important 3 words of all to my story.... namenly: SIGNED.THE.LOGSHEET.

Not sure whether FP here stands for Frustration point, Fascinating Puzzle , or Fiendish Perambulations... but have one anyway. TFTC.

(# 4902). Did the series in 4 hits and today finished off the last ones. Drove all over the place but had no problem getting the required information. The only problem being Papokowhai as There was an event very close by and security staff were posted right by the hide. Abandoned the chase on this occasion and went back a couple of days later. No problem. A little bit of searching for the final but got there. Everything in order. TFTC

New Pauatahanui waypoint is now in position. Pauatahanui, Paremata and Judgeford waypoints now have a silica gel sachet added. The rest will be done as and when we have time - the idea being to get them all in well before autumn. Scary to think that's just a month and a half away.

12-Jan-19
Pauatahanui WP location has been secured and approved, new WP hide to go in tomorrow, 13th Jan, and of course the Paremata WP will have an updated w3w address and hint.

I shall also be adding a note about the use of satellite v map in both Google and w3w maps, as the new Pauatahanui WP looks to be in a somewhat different place, depending on what you use.

Thank you all for the patience and the amazing logs! Aros71 and I have been truly humbled by the FPs coming in and the completeness of the logs, we have loved reading them. Many grateful thanks. Smile

A great find with CanuckNZ. A long way to travel to find the final less than 500m from my house. Love the series of finds. Well worth a favourite point. TFTC Smile

Really enjoyed this meandering trail around the city with Spider-bite. Only 1 hiccup, a chicken coop appeared between visits to Pauatahanui. Should have found it on our 1st visit. Many thanks for the help and also setting this all up in the 1st place. Deserves a favourite. Smile

Saw this cache when it was first published and decided that I would have a look at it when I had a chance, the only issue was that I was very limited on time so I decided that I would attempt this cache as time allowed and would take our time.

I decided to team up with SAROC and we managed to get to the first waypoint the day after publication and as we walked up to GZ we meet up with a cacher who was there with his Grandson, and we knew that the FTF was already gone so we werent in too much of a rush.

The first day we managed to get a few of the waypoints done and from there it was just a matter of slowly knocking them off, in the end I decided to contact SAROC and we decided that we would go out together and do whatever we could today. In the end of our travels for the day we managed only a few of the waypoints but we were happy to finally get a start on the cache.

Managed to get back out with SAROC a couple more times to complete the formalities and once we did this we finally managed to knock it all off and final had the final waypoint in our gasp, we were limited on time so we decided that the to complete the final today. Arriving early in the morning there was no one around, once at GZ we split up and started searching and we were quite lucky when I soon spotted something that required a bit closer investigation and soon spotted something that needed a closer look and soon realised that it was the cache.

Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks WhitbyTui and Aros71 for placing this cache series here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (14080). Giving the cache a favourite point and thanks for giving me a chance to hone my skills on what3words.

Now it is time to get SAROC home and then go home to continue my chores.

Yeetrees dropped me a line and asked if I was interested in having a go at this trail, sure why not! So over a couple of weekends plus a little bit of mid week caching we toured the various suburbs of Porirua.
Most of the waypoints were pretty good although we found Cannons Creek and Elsdon with up to 12/14m errors with both our GPS's. Papakowhai took a while to find the hint but then an easy find on the cache. Pauatahanui was a very sneaky hide as the previous finder had hidden it REALLY well - that required a PAF to narrow its hiding spot down. Pukerua Bay, we parked right beside the cache but then had to drive on up to the Fishermans Table to turn around - that added a few more km's than expected to the travelling. (If you don't want the extra drive suggest parking up prior to GZ and walking down to the location. Depending on where you park 300-400m walk.) Waitangirua was another that took us a while to find as again it had been well hidden, we were nicer to those to follow. Wink
And then off to the final. After finishing up latish yesterday, we made an early morning trip to find the final. After a bit of hunting around Yeetrees found the cache while I was checking out a logical spot a few meters away.
Many thanks for the tour. Its a long multi to just achieve one Smile but a worth while one. FP for the effort in setting up. Well done.

Well, that was a quite the mission. I've been working my way through this for a couple of weeks picking up a waypoint here and there as I pass close enough to one - occasionally doing a batch when they line up. Elsdon took a little while, Pauatahanui I DNFd and had to revisit, Waitangirua gave me all sorts of issues including two DNS, a DNF and a muggling before finally an instant find today. Then finally off to Whitby for an eventual find in a logical place. I'd actually explored a lot of Whitby's walkway network before I started geocaching and yet this place was new to me. A multi quite unlike one I've ever done before and quite fun even if the result is just one smiley for finding 17 caches! Thanks for the tour. Now do Lower Hutt. Wink

Wow, this was a mission and a half, taking several non-consecutive days.

#Day One#
##Aotea##
I was picking up my cache of the day when I decided to make a start. Parked up nearby and made my way to the gazebo. This seemed to be the easiest to find.#### Ascot ParkIt was dark when I started hunting for this one. I kept getting lost as I couldn't find the right number of hint objects, and it took me a while, walking up and down, before I was able to finally track this one down, all the while being supervised by a cat under the trees. Got the required information and then it was time to head home.
#Day Two#
##Camborne##
Two days later I found myself back in the area, picking up my cache for the day and also knocking off a few more waypoints. Got to the relevant area, and after a few minutes finally found the container.
##Cannons Creek##
Parked up nearby and headed over to the location. This one was straightforward.
##Elsdon##
I'd seen the previous log about difficulties in locating this one, and the coordinates seemed to point to an open area. However, expanding my search I spotted something out of place and soon had the container in hand.
##Judgeford##
There was an ominous cloud hovering over Pāuatahanui as I made my way over and it had just started raining when I got there. It took a while to spot the hint object (I was expecting something bigger) but eventually spotted. I had retreated to my car to record the info, and that's when the rain really came down. I got a bit wet replacing, and it was time to call it a day.
#Day Three#
##Mana##
I picked this one up just before the Christmas Drive-by event. A cunning hiding spot.
##Papakōwhai##
Another straightforward find. The hint is very subtle.
##Paremata##
This one I had a lot of trouble with as the coordinates are a bit out. Lots of looking in several spots without finding anything, and I even sent a message to huhugrub asking for a hint. I eventually found it before getting a response.
#Day Four#
##Pāuatahanui##
This one gave me the most trouble. It took three separate visits. The first time was on my third day of the hunt, without success. When I first came here today I still couldn't find anything so went back to message-a-friend. I got a reply and so coming back a second time I was able to finally get my hands on it.
#Day Five#
##Plimmerton##
I made it a special trip in the evening to come out and get this one. Another quick easy find. I debated with myself about popping up the road to get Pukerua Bay but decided against it.
#Day Six#
##Pukerua Bay##
I parked at the end of Muri St to head over to get this one (and pick up some of the escarpment track caches). I followed where I thought the map was taking me, but it was actually easier than that.
##Rānui##
It took a while to locate this one. Of course it depends on what point of view the hint relates to, but soon had the container in hand.
##Takapūwāhia##
Another quick find, although the getting there was a bumpy ride - never seen so may judder bars (or bumps?)
##Titahi Bay##
The end is in sight. Parked up nearby and headed to the indicated spot and quickly found the container.
##Waitangirua##
It took me a short while to find this one as I had plugged in the wrong numbers for the converted coordinates and was looking in the wrong place until I spotted the second part of the hint and soon had the final clue in hand.
##Whitby##
At last! Got the final clue and headed on over as it was basically 'on the way home'. I soon found myself in an area with plenty of hint objects. After a short search I found a container not the same as the others which meant it was definitely it! I was more surprised that I was the 4th person to find this today. Very busy. I picked up the trackable that's been here since the FTF.

All in all, a fantastically put together cache, one even more involved than The Amazing Race Smile. Truly deserving of an FP. TFTC+FP

Found that I already had the what3words app on my phone as I had encountered what3words previously on a few mystery type caches whereby you are simply given the three words of the cache location, all pretty easy but only once you know how. I had not however encountered a multi with so many WP's before so there was a good challenge, with the added interest of needing to work out, and travel to, the given what3words locations.

Completed in two parts over two mid week afternoons as I had a preference for a more relaxed approach with time to enjoy the travel and WP locations, most of which were well chosen and interesting spots to visit. And also a good time to avoid the muggles obviously as I had no issues at all on that front The A-Z listing made for a few rather long excursions, plus traveling along some particular roads a number of times, and sometimes quite a number of times Wink

I enjoyed the variety of hides, some of which were a bit tricky and there was only one that defeated me first time around Sad and I needed some extra help on, I was thrown off by the clue. And apart from Paremata which was a long way off Surprised all very good precise co-ordinates by my reckoning. I was especially thankful for that at the final as it had just started to rain but I was able to locate the cache very quickly among a large number of possibilities.

That sure must of taken a lot of setting up, well done and thank you, this is what geocaching is all about, as it was great fun and well worth putting in the extra time to gain the smiley [^][^][^].

Wow, what a fun journey. Spread over two nights, there is definitely a lot of driving involved here, and several roads driven down multiple times. Visited a lot of new places, met quite a few dog walkers, sightseers, and the ever present "people who are right where you want to look for no apparent reason and never leave".

Most of the waypoints were spot on with the W3W app, with the notable exception of Elsdon, where it seemed a few squares off - took some time to locate that one. Many of the WPs are well hidden, but all found safe and dry.

Visited the final location at about 10:30pm, and had to approach from the southern walkway due to a road closure. Not an easy find by torchlight, but find it I did.

Thanks for the incredible amount of work that must have gone into putting this together, a very enjoyable and rewarding multi.

#10,507. {FTF} at 14:35. Started in the morning from Jasmine Underhill Reserve on Aotea Drive in Aotea, Porirua. Enjoyed the tour of the city for several hours … collecting all the 48 words along the way. The A to Z (well W anyway) order meant that there were a number of cross-city routes taken … making for several grand traverses. Quite a good variety of waypoints – some were quick finds while others were rather sneakily hidden. All good in the end.

Eventually reached Whitby in the afternoon. The final GZ vicinity was fortunately all quiet during the visit. Took a bit of searching here. Plenty of potential hiding spots – widened the area to no avail. Eventually returned to near the starting point and then found it at just 2 metres away. All waypoint containers and the final cache were in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside.

Dropped off Dani's lovely Mouse
Took nothing, signed log.

Favorite point added.

Thanks for the long multi and placements, and for bringing us to all these sites, and …
