Only had a quick look as knew it was going to be an interesting trip out which it was
Had a whole crew looking and didnt manage to find may have been mistaken as trash and thrown out
Had a quick scout around but moved along fairly quickly as there were people set up nearby. Good excuse to come back another time
We drove in here today for my first ever visit. Awesome location to explore. Cheers
A friend found it by chance and i filled them in on what it was! Not a hard find but such a cool spot sat here for an hour or two watching the sky change for sunset
Found purely by chance. Had only ever heard about geocaching, never interested but yours now has me wanting more. Thanks for placing this here. I have a new hobby.
I as astonished to find a cache here! Wow, what a trip to get here and what fabulous scenery!
A drive to Skippers today in our sons 4x4. We always enjoy a trip up here when we visit NZ & are always in awe of the scenery & amazed at how this road was built. It was busy today though in the sunshine. We enjoyed a picnic on one of the tables before searching for the cache. We looked in the wrong spot at first, but soon saw an alternative place. Sure enough there was the cache. Thanks so much for placing this cache in this fabulous & historic area.
This was a highlight spot in the area, there is a lot of information about the mining history/thriving community in the Skippers area. You can even walk through the old school which is well kept and refurbished to give you a sense of life from the past. The cache sits looking over the stunning landscapes.
Thanks for this cache, loved the location. Alex and Jessie

Made that a bit harder than it needed to be, you know the nagging voice that says it's obvious, should have listened
Found it!
We went to Macetown today in our 4WD intending to camp the night but there was a huge thunder/lightening storm when we arrived!
So back we went. When we got to Arrowtown there was blue sky and no rain so decided to come up here to camp as we’d never been here.
Wow what a spot! Favourite point for location. Camped at the Skipper Canyon township for the night. We were the only ones there, what an amazing place!!
The bridge was very cool, amazing to think it was completed in 1901! I walked across it after our car as I was a bit anxious about how skinny it was.
Light rain in the evening and lots of mosquitos so bring some spray & long trousers!
Will definitely be back

Happened to find this by chance when I was having a walk around. Nearly didn’t open it because I thought it was just rubbish but then thought maybe it could be a geocache! First one I have ever found/logged.
Found it and left a little something in there. Will make a great story one day when the person who finds it, sees my note!
I decided that I would test my limitations on driving up the Skippers Rd against a lot of advice asking me not to do it.
Drove to just about the GZ. Now for the drive out. Met a 4WD coming in and then it was a 20-seater bus with a large trailer carrying 2 large rubber-ducky rafts nat a corner. Had to get into the water table and use my 4WD capability to get out of it before the bus could move on WHEW!!
Cheers for the cache.

Just spent 2.5 days in the Queenstown area. Love the area but not necessarily the town itself! Took a drive into Skippers Canyon today. Enjoyed the trip in and the scenery. This was also a great spot!
Picked up three caches in these remote parts but this wasn’t one of them. The coords seemed to lead me to the picnic table. Gave that a thorough going-over but couldn’t find anything. Did a quick look around the base of tree stumps a little further away, 12m+, but no joy. Slightly hampered by two lots of campers quite close by. Left the scene empty-handed. Someone has to admit to the first DNF. Sadly, this time it’s me!

Great location, scenery and history. Beautifully restored building. Fun drive in too. Thanks. Cache all good. Fav from me.
Brilliant location! A must do for all us cachers ... with a 4x4! Soaking wet today, but currently drying out in the new year sun ️
Great spot for a picnic. We took the 4WD today. There were lots of visitors but were lucky to be the only ones there when we first arrived and logged the cache and set up our picnic.
Had really luck at this one! Wanted to go to Skippers but unfortunatly haven't got a Car to go there.
So I hiked a little bit until a group of Photographers picked me up for the day! So lucky!
So later this day got to find this little one!

Great drive. Perfect day out and the best part is you feel miles and miles away from queenstown. Nice easy find. Tftc
Yeeees!!! My first FTF! So glad for it! Thanks a lot to owner. Place is definitely amazing and respectful. Little bit complicated 4WD but we made it
