Found in the first spot I looked. It was a hair raising trip in and out. The road turned to mud on way out and we're slipping around alot. We didn't need a tow which was good
Nice quick find. Cool to see the start of the bullendale track at the carpark to. Definitely have to come back to explore some more
We love a trip up to Skippers when we visit NZ & are lucky enough to be able to get a ride up in our sons 4x4. The cemetery is a lovely place to visit, a little snippet of history. We found the cache with no problems. Many thanks for placing a cache here for our enjoyment.
Found it! Log was damp but still signable. Cemetery was well worth a visit, very cool information panels at the entrance. Took me a sec to get the hang of the gate!!
Camped at the Skipper Canyon township for the night. We were the only ones there, what an amazing place!!
The bridge was very cool, amazing to think it was completed in 1901! I walked across it after our car as I was a bit anxious about how skinny it was.

I decided that I would test my limitations on driving up the Skippers Rd against a lot of advice asking me not to do it.

Just spent 2.5 days in the Queenstown area. Love the area but not necessarily the town itself! Took a drive into Skippers Canyon today. Enjoyed the trip in and the scenery. Picked up three caches including this one. Fascinating picturing what life might have been like in these parts 120-140 years ago! This one was a quick find. #3719. TFTC.

Found it in the long overgrown grass from the rainy central Otago summer of ‘19-‘20. Fabulous historic location well worth a find for all cachers with 4x4s
Had to come back here after about 45 years and a recent read of "The Road to Skippers" and "Echoes from Skippers Canyon" by Terry MacNicol.
Very historic place worth coming to. Amazing that you can still get buried here. Last person was 1997 as far as we could see. Tftc
