Just hoped off the ferry. Why not pick this one up before getting up to speed again! Thanks for the quick find!
Found while waiting for the ferry. Found the cache, with a few inhabitants on it as well. TFTC
Nice! Found it while waiting for the fairy but didn't sign it, it was a public holiday and waaayyyy to many people around
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. The ferry had just left so no muggles to observe our search. Thanks for the find
Yet another ferry ride on our way home from The Great Leap Forward MEGA Event in Adelaide. A quick find here, the cache was on the ground, directly below the hiding spot.Stamped with +Wife and replaced securely where it belongs.
GT37 and I are making our way to the February 29th Mega in South Australia. We have been for a lovely drive along the other side of the river and are now heading to our accommodation for the night. Still have time to find a few caches along the way. This was found as soon as the other cars had passed by. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Found this one however, the magnet would not re-stick. Hopefully the next cacher that finds this cache can make a repair to put it back where it should be.Unfortunately the ferry docked on this side, just as I was trying to do something with the container and I had to run to get back in the car
As kiwis that live at the top of the South Island its not difficult for us to catch the ferry to Wellington except our ferry trip takes 3 hours so we dont tend to go just to the pub. We had to wait for the ferry so had time to get the cache. I reached in to get the cache and felt something metal and something softer on top, as it came out a brown frog jumped off the cache onto the ground. Bullertrout, Nanzie and i are caching our way to Adelaide for the mega. Picking up what we can in the time available. TFTC BratKat#15305
PCNBT TEAM on our trip to join our other caching friends in Adelaide for the Mega thanks for this cache we enjoyed doing this cache nice easy easy find
Sherlock to Tailembend. Camped at the Waterfront Caravan ParkToday we found a few caches along the road before checking in.After lunch we toured the area from one ferry on the Murray & return by another caching as we went.I had time to wander down to GZ to find this cache before boarding the ferry. Thanks BratKat for hiding this cache.
Quickly, find the cache before a queue forms for the next ferry. I reach into a likely spot and a frog falls into my hand. I cant really get him back to where he was; I hope hes ok in his new environment. Thanks for this cache Bratkat; I like the cache karma philosophy you have going here.
We are doing an around the roads trip towards Adelaide picking up caches that were not there when we were last here. We are not sure if our minds are playing silly buggers with us but we know that we have done a cache here before, maybe we just did not log it. SL TFTC
Didnt have time to write in the log as had to catch the ferry! Check out the Botanic Gardens in East Wellington its fantastic!
Waiting for the ferry and thought wed see if there was one nearby! Quick find! Thanks!
With some decent weather today, I decided to make the most of it and get out and do some caching; especially with crappy weather still ruining potential caching days. Today the decision was made to head south to Meningie to find some of the caches that had been put out since I was last in the area. It was a decent day where I was able to find the majority of the caches that I was targeting. A nice easy park near ground zero; the road works not currently operating definitely made for a quitter search. There were plenty of spots that this cache could have been hidden, however, it did not take me long before I had my hand on the cache. The log was signed, the cache replaced, and I was on my way. An enjoyable cache found during an enjoyable day.

Out for a morning's caching cleaning up a few locations that are a bit of a drive from home.
When I arrived there was a queue for the ferry. Luckily it was just loading so after a few minutes all the cars were loaded and was able to make a quick find.

My main aim today is to finish off the Rotf trail which I started a few years ago. I had a family emergency on day 2 so had to go back to Adelaide. Enjoyed doing all the caches on a long day
First to sign the new log book, cache soon found at accurate coordinates. ----SL-----TFTC
Came past today on my way home from a long weekend away; put out a new container and log book. Thank you to those who have visited and have maintained the cache ️
Today is a once-off pubic holiday. I and J plus the little one took three ferries on River Murray (Tailem Bend, Wellington, Narrung). And of course, we tried some caches on the way. Today we scored 22 caches, including Traditional cache, Virtual cache, Mystery cache, and Lab adventure cache. Only one DNF.
This cache is the only cache we tried in Wellington.
While we are waiting for the ferry, we checked some information, and found the cache.
Signed the log, and placed it back.
Thanks for the cache, BratKat.

Another cache hunt on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Our second day in Tailem bend with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
A nice day forecasted so we unloaded the deadly treadlies and did the ride on the Murray Coorong Trail down to Wellington and back. Found a few caches on the way.
The good thing about cache near a ferry crossing is that all the carfulls of muggles will disappear with the ferry!
Lots of information here.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20086. Day 15 of our holiday in SA and today Robmc, I and the geodoggies headed out from base at Tailem Bend to ride along the River Bend Heritage Trail to Wellington East before crossing on the Ferry. After a very nice lunch on the terrace at the Pub we rode back through Jervois to the top ferry and across to Tailem Bend. A 37km ride that I would not classify as an easy ride. So much bumping and bouncing on the way down and a head wind on the way back.
We found the cache whilst waiting to board the ferry. A very pleasant short ride across the river and up to the Pub for a delicous lunch.
Thanks BratKat

Found back in January while waiting for ferry then ferry arrived and could not write in it. Wrote todays date
Yey my favourite river - the Mighty Murray. Ferry crossing a fun bonus. Found the cache tucked away. Thank you.
Nice hide, found this morning while out chasing a couple of caches in area I had overlooked, went to sign the log and found it full and soggy, after a quick dash to the car, log replaced in a new baggy hopefully will keep it dry. Nice Spot TYFTC
Day 2 of our school holiday road trip! We arrived in Tailem Bend for the night and went to look at the Murray. Ooh a car ferry! Let’s go! And let’s find a few caches and come back in the other ferry! Ha ha. Love caching and where it takes us! Many thanks!
Tricky to access, busy morning on the road! Have a history of four generations being involved in Wellington, nice to pass through today. Still recall before the marina was made and the tradition of swimming back and forth across the Murray. Something i didn't achieve. TFTC BratKat.
Mexicans
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!
BratKat, I found Mexico today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC BratKat

And what I saw made me know for sure

Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"
The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark
We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.
Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.
In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

Due to some works vehicle crossing back and forth taking up way to much room, we had for a coupe of crossings before it was our turn. Mayne they got the massage with a huge line of cars on both sides and buggered off just as we were about to cross!
It gave us time to find this cache, and have a discussion with another group re caching (they knew it was there).
Today we were heading back to Adelaide to fly home.
Thanks BratKat
The Millicent Mega trip had been a long time in the making, for the Tassie trio of stainless steel rat, budgietas and gooseandegg, due to a couple of false starts thanks to COVID19. More and more caches were added to the extensive list as planning was being finalized. We focused on old caches, large caches, certain D/Ts, virtual caches, the On your Bike series and a few other special ones on our journey. Our route saw us caching in Adelaide for a few days before heading north via Gawler to the Barossa in preparation for the On your Bike series, whilst basing ourselves at a gorgeous cottage in Waikerie. We continued on to Renmark for a night before the long trek south to Millicent.
Some of the many highlights along the way were Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin’s Cache, Barossa High and Riverland (the oldest surviving geocache in South Australia).
At the Mega we caught up with a few of our caching friends, made some new ones, and of course missed many who could not make it this time. The weather was not the best in Millicent, and a COVID19 situation in Mt Gambier altered our plans but we had plenty of caches to keep us busy between showers, including tree climbs, plenty of adventure labs, and the entertaining Finding a Fish series - giving the new pole a good workout for the first time.
Thanks to all the CO’s who have placed and maintained all these caches that made our adventure so memorable.

Today we drove back North to the airport to get our flight home and just had to grab the last few caches on the way, pulling in mainly old caches on our travels. Thanks for having us SA, till next time.
Even with the numbers being down it was great to attend a Mega and at least get to meet some fellow cachers after so long and catch up with a few people, we flew over from Tassie on Thursday and after spending a few days in Adelaide we headed Northeast to clean up some series and then head South to Millicent for the start of the Mega long weekend.
This trip has changed so many times since it was first booked and I'm glad we got to do it at long last, to start with it was just myself and GooseandEgg nipping over for the Mega and then it was a few more days with the addition of 1 toolman, then with lockdown it was back to two of us but then another Tassie cacher in the shape of BudgieTas stepped up to the plate and we were back on for an over a week trip to grab a few caches before the Mega and then finish off with Millicent before flying home on the Tuesday.
Thanks for the cache.

Found at 11:00 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find
Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.
Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.
Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.
Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.
Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.
Thanks for the hides

Apologies for the generic log.
Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.
Along the way we stopped to find as many caches as we could - because we somehow convinced our better halves not to accompany us. Or perhaps it was because they really don't like caching as much as us.
We came well equipeed in the Pahero, with not one, not two but THREE TOTTs to help us. Even that wasn't sufficient for all the hides, sometimes you just don't have the right tool for the job.
We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.
Thanks BratKat for placing and maintaining the cache

Having worked for what seems like weeks and weeks straight we decided to give ourselves a day off and what better way to spend a day off but GO CACHING!!!!!! We did several on the way to and a few more on the way back from Meningie. We found this one while waitng for the Ferry to return from the otherside. Found it easily enough but what a tough little bugger to get out. Luckily we had tools in the Geomobile so was able to release it from it's hiding spot, sign and replace and put the tools away well before the ferry arrived. The Weather was reasonably good and the rain held off for most of it. Thanks for putting your caches out for us to find.
Found after a night in Wellington. We had to wait for the ferry to get fuelled so there was quite a queue of cars on both sides. TFTC
So many caches to find in the area around Murray Bridge but with recent hand surgery it was decided a relatively easy day was the go grabbing just a few local caches on each side of the river between the Bridge and Wellington. A delicious lunch was also enjoyed at the Wellington pub
The ferry was just leaving as we arrived first in line for when it returned so we were able to make a quick find and sign but by the time the ferry was back it was completely full when it took off with us on board. So glad we were able to find the cache before anyone else arrived.
Many thanks for this one BratKat
