initially found this one with my partner but decided to make a new account and pop back up to join the club signed and replaced where it was found, still slightly water logged but the top paper is also still in decent shape. Tftc !!
Thanks for my first find! Little big waterlogged but the most recent paper put in is still okay
Today my husband wanted to go to the Esk races and I said that's perfect as I want to find some more waypoints for the BVRT END TO END . So we put my E Bike on the car and I dropped him at the races . I had a great afternoon finding 2 more waypoints and a few caches a long the way. I remember this place from when my muggle friend and I did the BVRT last year. I stayed a bit to wait for low flying planes and one came up to get ready for take off. Took a photo and found the cache. Thanks Brother Colin for all the fun
I teamed up with Dick (dickbev) today to ride the Rail Trail to find the caches in the Map of Australia series. With all the puzzles solved we set off from Toogoolawah on a foggy morning which turned into a perfect day for the ride along the trail and back. I had not previously found this one so we continued on for a smiley here, signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks Brother Colin for the cache.
Brother Colin I found your cache Low Flying Planes on 7/4/2024, 3:20pm. This is my find 6508 and find # 5 today. A quick and easy find. Unfortunately the container was sitting in a pool of water, therefore logsheet soaked and unwritable. Placed a new sheet of paper in a snap lock bag and placed the container upright. Maybe need to find a better spot. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Quick easy find today with good coords. Cache flooded and log too wet to sign. Unfortunately, I didn't have the necessary equipment to perform field maintenance, so took a photo instead. Interesting place. TFTC, and greetings from Ireland
A great day out with friends on the BVRT and this cache wraps up the day. Thanks for cache AND THANK YOU JDAVS FOR THE LARGE ICE BREAK!! OMG, YOU ROCK!!
Riding the BVRT has been on the ‘to-do list’ for a long time, the puzzles have been solved for a few years and the trail keeps glaring at me whenever I do a search.
With JDavs as the amazing and very patient support crew, Peppa, wayn0, Beardman75 and I set off for an awesome day on the bikes, completing both geoarts just before sunset.
Our last find of the day, we have finally reached the end point of the day. Super happy to have done it all and couldn’t have asked for better company. We pulled up to GZ and noticed a muggle watching the runway, a small plane was making its way out with some nervous skydivers on board.
Thanks for a great series Brother Colin

Find 5 of 64 with no DNFs on a super day on the rail trail. For winter, it got a bit warm so we turned around at Esk leaving 50+ solved puzzles on the trail for next time. Huge thanks to Brother Colin for all the hard work bringing this power trail to life and keeping it going. Lots of quality hides, with variety that kept us guessing, and reliable co-ordinates. That would be enough work for some but the puzzles were also excellent and often quite fiendish.
Our turnaround point. A nice easy one.
TFTC Brother Colin!

Container still has water the new pages are still dry. Hiking to Moore did not plan to find caches so no pen today. Topendteam TFTC
Easy find on our way past. Log was water logged and bag was wet so replaced with a couple of pages in new zip bag.
Great spot - however we can’t sign as the cache is full of water ….. took a photo instead.
Quite a bit of water in the cache which I emptied out, but the log is only a teensy bit damp. A kangaroo watched me sign the log.
Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Brother Colin

After spending a couple of days up here around Toogoolawah, we decided to do these puzzle caches and traditional cache between the town and the airport along the rail trail on the morning we were leaving. Found the caches and signed the logs. TFTC Brother Colin
Spending a few days in the Toogoolawa/Esk area collecting some interesting geo art as well as some traditional caches. Thanks to the COs for showing us around this area.
Out and about on my bicycle on this fine Winters day doing a maintenance check on my geocaches.
All good here.
All good here.
11:46:00 AM. We walked here earlier but found the log a sodden mess. Back to camp and got a new log and bag and back on our bikes this time. Replaced log and signed log. Tried to empty the water out of the hide. It the container is standing up it is out of the water. Thanks for the cache Brother Colin.

Quick little weekend away, exploring the country side, with the ultimate goal to complete some of the Map of Australia Geo-Art on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle solving, and although I still had three to go, I had solved enough to justify a nice walk. Almost hit the 20 km mark, with the last half being a lot quicker, darker and colder then the first half. Potentially should have started earlier.
Unfortunately sitting in water.emptied the tire. Absolutely saturated
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the entire geo-art, I cannot imagine the hours you have put in for the whole lot of geo-arts in this area. **Brother Colin**

TFTC. It is saturated so couldn’t sign. I’m staying at the showground for the night. A lovely day relaxing here. I enjoyed the walk along this track. I will send you the photo.
Tftc and the series Brother Colin, last section today.
Parachute jump in progress this morning. Cache was floating in water that was in the tyre. Log to wet to sign.

OCW the Bebes. Found the cache no problem but the log was soaked and could not be signed. Needs some maintenance. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa
Stayed at the Showground last night and fancied a pre-brekkie walk before a long drive.
Lovely scenery here, a bit early to see the planes though.
Log was sodden so unable to sign, no spare paper with us (photo available if CO wishes to see it)

Saw a plane taking off and remembered about this cache as we walked past! GZ was full of water and the cache completely drowned, so please accept this photo as proof of signature.
Gotcha !!! A detour on our way from Yeppoon to our daughters property near Glen Innes.
Had some puzzles solved for a long time but this was our first chance to bring our bikes with us. Thanks Brother Colin for all the work in placing and maintaining these caches. A fav. pt. from us .

Well I’ve come this far… what’s another couple of hundred metres… a quick find at GZ, and the only plane I saw was sitting at the other end of the runway…

A bit difficult to find on my last visit as it apparently wasn't there. Thanks for replacing it. An easy find today even if a somewhat difficult stretch to retrieve. Added my moniker to the log sheet and put it back. No planes or jumpers today while I was there. TFTC, Brother Colin.
Wow that little yellow plane just keeps going. Like an energiser bunny !
Some cyclists pulled up here just as i'd found it. (Not the smallest anymore - hint)
Regaled them with nonsense.
Pity the plane wasn't to be seen while i was here.
So many people jump here all day long.
Mebe it's a school of the air or something.
Interesting.
Might have to investigate.
Cheers brother colin !

Day 3 of 10 –Esk to Moore – Long day!! Cache 3. Riding along minding my own business and I look across and go ‘Oh look an airfield’… keep pedalling. Then the penny dropped, oh aren’t I meant to be looking for a cache called low flying planes. Oops. Grab the GPS and look …. 7 m to GZ. Phew that was lucky. Very quick park and grab indeed. TFTC.
GZ according to my Garmin was in an area with no obvious hiding spots, so after a good look around, had to concede defeat. Here I decided to walk back to the car in Toogoolawah, with no more map caches this far north. TFTC anyway, Brother Colin.
Soooo many eyes watching us whilst searching for and retrieving this cache. As long as the cows don't tell anyone, we believe the hide is safe. Thanks for the cache.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.
Devilish
Brilliant and Clever
I like it
Another one off the list

Saw a little yellow plane taking off when we were further up the track. What a pity we didn't time this better. TFTC Brother Colin.
Day one in Tooloogawah, so that we can ride the Brisbane Rail Trail and off course grab some much needed Puzzle caches, solved sooo long ago, and only partially done by car a couple of years ago. Today was Tooloogawah to Esk, left in overcast day and ended up in full sun. All caches in good condition
Started this end of the trail so grabbed this one

Took the opportunity to do some geocaching while staying at Toogoolawah. This was one of two that were at my back fence so I just had to find theses. An easy find with no aircraft in sight during my visit. TFTC.
A short stroll along the track from Parachutes to grab this one by the fading batteries of my Garmin

After my little side trip to Toowoomba I meet up with Willis007 and TeamTyrrell for a ride along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. This had been in the planning for a while however it only really got a green light when Team Tyrrell rang and said I got time this week let’s do it. It seemed like a mad rush to get puzzles solved and finals in place but the day had come and we were all ready, except for the heat, it was 39 plus degrees and on the trail even more today, a good day to sweat it out.
As the CO had been through here recently and not many cachers we were hopeful of finding all and in good condition. We started our ride and soon had completed the Map of Australia. With a well-deserved rest we started to work on the bonus cache for the series. With some numbers sorted and PAF to check our workings it was on the track again to collect some of the CofA series. Grabbed a few trads along the way too. Todays end was going to be in Esk so we then started on the roo series and a couple of trads along the way.
A funny incident happened at this cache but I will see if anyone else posts of the event, I will admit I had a little laugh, ok a huge laugh.
It was a fantastic day with plenty of laughs and all caches found in good condition. The caches are in a range of sizes and of hides, some took as a little to find but they are all in place. Thank you Brother Colin for the fantastic series, the great puzzles and hides, sorry for the generic post but there is a lot to get through.

What an Epic day of cycling adventure. Willis007, Chamad and I had teamed up to tackle the BVRT and hopefully tick off a few Geo art series. The plan for today was to car pool and drop the bikes and riders off at Toogoolawah and cycle back to Esk for an over night stay.
This cache was as far north as we were planning on heading and we were lucky enough to spot the plane taking off and landing along with its offload of passengers floating down from above. An awesome sight to sea.
Thanks for the placement and upkeep of the cache's CO. Great job

After speaking with CHAMAD and TeamTyrrell earlier in the week, we hatched a plan to find the caches along this part of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, I quickly realised I had some solving to do.
Fast forward to Sunday, I had been to a concert the night before and had consumed 1 or 2 extra beverages - one of the benefits of a covid concert is less people attending, meaning less people lined up to buy drinks!! Anyway, feeling a bit dusty, CHAMAD was not going to let me off the hook and I soon found myself on the way to our starting point at Toogoolawah. Bikes ready, off we went. It was a slow start, but with the extra hot weather, it didn't take long for the excess drinks to work their way out and I started to feel human
This cache was extra special for me, as I was returning the cache, a plane approached the end of the runway and made its turn, then of course the pilot hit the throttle causing a massive dust storm. In my delicate state, I wasn't prepared for this and got totally covered in dust. Apparently the other 2 were prepared as I could hear them laughing down the path. Nice caching buddies!
We found a couple of traditionals, all of the Map of Oz art, and made a start on the Roos. Unfortunately I had a full work day on Monday so couldn't stay overnight and tackle the rest.
Caches were all found in good condition - although there were a couple of traditional DNFs.
Thanks Brother Colin for a fantastic series, I thoroughly enjoyed working on the puzzles and finding the caches. I look forward to coming back to find the rest.
Apologies for the generic logs.

Camping at the Showgrounds and the flights and jumpers had finished for the day so decided to grab this cache. TFTC.
Staying at Esk for a few days. Today we travelled from Esk to Kilcoy via Toogoolawah then back to Esk via Somerset. We found 21 caches in total, they were a great variety of Traditionals, Puzzles and a Multi.
Thanks to all the COs that have hidden caches in this area for us to enjoy.

As we approached GZ on our bikes we both felt a whoosh and a whack on our helmets. So it was low flying magpies rather than planes here for us today. Fortunately it was a quick find so we were able to keep going to avoid the aerial marauders. TFTC BC.
After three days of boating on Lake Somerset, it's time to do some land-based caches.
Walking back along here brought back fond memories of previous times. A previous log also helped make this a quicker find than it could have been.
Cache located, log signed and all replaced as found. TFTC, Brother Colin, at 2:24 PM on September 6, 2020.

Out for a Sunday Avo drive with IolantheK [^]
Out on to the west then up the Brisbane Valley Way right up to Toogoolawah then back down the east side of Wivenhoe Dam and back up Mt Glorious to home (almost circumnavigated Wivenhoe )
Bit longer walk into this one, but we didn't tire [^]

T-Tech and I took a drive around Wivenhoe Dam today, mostly because I needed to do maintenance on one of my caches, but of course we picked up a few smileys as well
We parked at the showgrounds and took the walk north up the rail trail for our next two. No planes this late in the afternoon. This one was a very quick find. TFTC, BC.

Out and about today doing a maintenance run on the Australia caches, roo caches and a few odd ones in between.
Log sheets, zip lock bags and new containers were used along the way to fix up caches.
All good to go again.

Grannysmith1947 and I headed up to Lake Wivenhoe to grab a cache to finish her D/T grid. She need D4/T5 we found two of those. We fog cover to 9.30am do not cold to then. Then it fine up for a good day. A bit of wind at one point. And of course we had head wind. And when we turn around wind had drop down.
I found one mystery and 15 traditional. We had a good day.
Sorry for generic post.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC *564* streak. *3455* Finds

Bulldozer72 and I decided to take advantage of the cooler winter weather and the Covid-19 shutdown to pick up a few caches along the rail trail today.
This one was easier to find that it was to extract! No planes here today, and it would’ve been interesting to see them trying to land in the stiff breeze that’s around.
TFTC, Brother Colin. =^.^=

Took way longer to get the cache out then to spot it. Container was full of water. Unfortunately travelling light today, didn't have a spare zip lock bag or log with me. Tftc.
Found this purely by accident whilst walking tje Brisbane valley rail trail. Think i might have a new traveling hobby.
Found but log waterlogged so did not sign. Can next person please bring some log paper. Also byo pen
Today I drove from Toowoomba to Esk to pick up a Mountain Bike that I had hired from the bike shop there. My aim was to find as many caches along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail as I could before I ran out of puff. I headed North along the trail in the direction of Toogoolawah. Along the way I encountered 2 people, a few kangaroos, one snake (not sure who was more freaked out - the snake or me) and way too many magpies! On the plus side I found plenty of caches along the way. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. I'll try to mention anything that stood out along the way. Thanks heaps for setting up and maintaining all the geo-art puzzles and caches. After a DNF, I was back on track with finding this cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Had a quick look for this last night but was too dark. Back this morning...quickly had cache in hand wirh added bonus of seeing planes and jumpers!
Staying at the Showgrounds for a couple days and had to get this one on horse back So lucky 2minutes later the plane took off, lucky my horses didn’t care. Tftc
Made a quick find but a slow retrieval as it wouldn’t come out. Horses stood still but I could hear a plane starting and knew we needed to move quickly, a picture for records and we had just moved when it went overhead, Whew very close. Got back to Showgrounds and a helicopter goes straight over top where you felt you could reach up and touch it. Think our horses are bombproof. TFTC and a great experience Brother Colin.
One of the caches we found whilst exploring the area.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

No planes on the move this morning. Nice to be able to log a find after almost 50km of pedaling. Collected a few more WPs on the multi on the way to this one, as well as bypasing a couple of caches in the hopes that I will have enough finds for the current souvenir thingy on the way back.
No trouble finding this one thanks.
