It was a late-night jaunt to grab a cache before midnight. It was all quiet on the western front of Geelong. It was a pretty quick trip in as the traffic was as light as can be.

It was also damn, damn cold. Thankfully Joey, the geomobile, has an excellent heater system, and we were able to keep warm there and back. It didn't help, though, when we were outside.

We were able to pull up nearby to GZ and made a relatively quick find. The cache is in excellent condition.

Thank you for this cache BFMC.

Started down here just as the sun had well set which was a good idea as I wasn’t sure if I’d tick them all off in one go given the darkness. Given the nice easy find I figured I should be able to grab em all through the night getting darker and darker and was not wrong.

Thanks for this series, will have to enjoy this walk again in the near future

I wish I was able to get out about today to enjoy the beautiful spring sun but was unfortunately bunkered down in the home office working....BAH. I felt like i deserved some outside time so a night cache it is. I've been wanting to hit up this series for a while but I'm never over this side of town. Heaps of rubbish around, I guess it's all blowing away from the building sites close by...maybe a CITO is in order.

Cache was found enough Smile Thank you

We hadn't put the bikes on this morning due to the weather forecast, but its not all that reliable Anyway we drove the length, stopping as we went to grab this little series. Most were straightforward finds that didn't give us any grief. Thanks _BFMC_ for your work.

We haven't spent much time in Geelong size we were married in 1978, but Mrs Ski spent many school holidays here visiting her grandparents and extended family. Gran was part of Geelong royalty being a Hickey and cousin to Reg, so her family is passionate Cats supporters. During our time here this week apart from all the caches we have found we have caught up with family, revisited lots of sites dear to her memory, and marvelled at all the changes. Her last visit to the Waurn Ponds Hotel was when it was in a paddock, her aunties house now has 4 modern units on the site instead, and the tiny little farmhouse on South Valley Road where her grandparents lived in the 1960's is now an extensively renovated large family home with inbuilt swimming pool and granny flat over the new garage. Its still on a double block on the corner of Nelson Ave, (mum's maiden name) with Cobden Rd on the other edge of the family land.

I had a some spare time while returning from the coast.

Decided to complete a few in this series.

Ironically I travelled this road the day they were published and missed the release by a few hours.

Time to return today.

Another hide that I spent too long looking.

Thenit was just there.

With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Geelong area to do some of the many labs and several caches in the area. We had a great time exploring the area. Today We started in Geelong but got a little frustrated with suburban caching so we headed to the Brisbane Ranges to do the Fun for kids trail.

This was one of the caches we found today. No bike riding for us just walk to them all, a few of the logs were a little wet.

Thanks BFMC for the cache.

Uh oh.
We had a really good careful look with ilook4geo for this one, but came up empty handed here. It was disappointing, but we really could only accept the DNF situation and go on with the rest of the series. Looked carefully all around with the hint in mind and expanded the search area but were still unsuccessful.
Suggest that this one could do with a check by the CO.
Thanks anyway go to BFMC for the series.

Found @9:28pm while walking Geo Puppy. Hadn't planned on doing this one but after last nights experience we decided to check this one out. Although rather chilly this morning, it was pleasant walking along Baanip Boulevard walkway. Only three muggles were seen while we walked the trail. We were soon at GZ for this cache. Accurate coordinates, the hint and a partially exposed cache led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. After signing the log, we rehid the cache better than we found it, Thanks _BFMC_ for the cache and the series.

*17 Aug 2019, Found @ 10:54 pm, Find # 9654.*

Today I headed out on a bit of a road trip to Beaufort and then Geelong for a couple of events as well as the new musical note Wherigo caches with jascat, biggles1024 and buhfuhguh.
With the Wherigo series and both events under our belt, we decided to give this series a crack before heading for home.
All were fairly easy finds except one which had us going in circles for a little while.

**Thanks to _BFMC_ for placing this cache.**

Ah, what a day, after an early rise this morning I drove to meet up with Stemicmitsar, Biggles1024 and Jascat for a day of caching out west. With our main goal being 2 events and some musical wherigos. A rather big day nevertheless. With us finishing our hunt and me getting home from the trip at 2am this morning. Thanks for the cache and being a part of a great day out caching.

**Traditional Cache Find #2458**

The day dawned fine and cool. SteMicMitSar, Jascat, Buhfuhgah and I headed over to the other side of the bay to attend two events and to find a number of new Wherigos at Beaufort. We were now on our way home but still looking for caches of interest. We looked at the map and spotted this series which looked like it would be a series of Park 'N Grabs. That's not quite how it is, but with a nice, wide and flat path, we decided that walking was the best way to do it, with Steve bringing up his car at various intervals.

We have been wanting to do this trail for awhile now but things just always got in the way. Today we thought the weather was going to be one of those 'things' that just stood between us and Baanip, but no, we were able to walk the trail with some afternoon sunshine, enjoying the various hides, rain free.
This one was found inadvertently as the lighter of the 2 of us stood on it as we approached GZ.....oops....all good though.....no damage done, luckily!
Thanks BFMC for placing some caches along the Boulevard for us and others to enjoy.

Wanted a cache today to compete my calendar 365x2 (but still missing that elusive Feb 29). Not a great day to walk this path as cold and and windy, but a cache is the prize. Parked between 8 & 9. Nice to have a good sized cache, but where is it as my GPS bounced around. Ah, found. On returning home I discovered that I am still missing #2 as it doesn't show upon my phone ap. TFTC

A mid-week day off work so I grabbed the deadly treadly and headed down to Geelong to do a few short trails.
Filled in some of the Version II of AB4C, the Bike trail Baanip, and around the park at the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve.
Not too hot for a ride today.

So many hangers in this series, I should have read the clue!

A sunny Sunday afternoon, a great time to seek out a few "local" caches after finishing some messages in Geelong.
As suggested in the cache notes, we started from the Boundary Rd end - COOL no need to pedal at all!
The GPS'r had us looking looking in all the wrong places here - much to Flynn's amusement as he had found it on his ride up the hill.

Thanks to '_BFMC_' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Well when this nice trail was published, I was in the middle of school and in no position to find it. If I was home, I would have definitely gotten a FTF or two Sad. Anyway I had to get the trail, it was close to home so off I went today as I got a new bike mount for my GPSr and was eager to test it out. I started at Baanip 10 and worked my way down. Halfway down the path, my GPSr was pointing to two bikes and two Geocachers searching. They definitely knew who I was and after being handed the log to sign I realized who I was looking at, Phetlern (or Bunjil). I was really excited to meet them before the mega so I teamed up with them to find a few that I missed. Altogether a really good trail that I didn't know existed.

This was a nice big one! Saw the likely location quickly

Well what an unexpected hour or so this afternoon.
The phone call from the Red Ant alerted us to new caches nearby and so the plan was quickly hatched to meet at the first cache closest to home and go from there. Our band of searchers had grown out in the field and now there were five of us checking out these new caches.
A bit of cloud kept the sun away and made for good walking and driving.
Another quick find here with good co-ordinates.
