DNF We looked for a bit and then left. The coordinates were a bit off and leeads into the paddocks, and there was no good place to hide the cache. On the good side there were some really cute yearlings that came all the way up to the fence to greet us. Even tho we did not fine the cache. TFTC♡♡♡
We had already stopped before seeing the other dnfs so thought we'd have a look anyway.
No luck for us either today apart from seeing the cute Bobby calves in the paddock
No luck for us either today apart from seeing the cute Bobby calves in the paddock
We too failed to find this cache. The coordinates seemed to be out in the paddock, and none of the nearby hint objects looked suitable, and certainly didn't yield anything for us.
Nothing matched the description of the last finder 3 months ago. We suspect that this time it is well and truly gone.
Heading to Rangiora for coffee; I overshot the end of the motorway and am "detouring by caching".
Thanks for this cache, monson.clan.

Thanks for putting out this series of caches for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*

Woo! After a previous nighttime DNF came back to check this one and managed to find it
Hmm, and the first shall be last. Not sure why that happened but it did, no worries, managed to collect four out of five smilies so that's not bad. TFTC .
Paddle chick and I came down to Christchurch for a week and got a few caches on the way. Thanks for this cache monson.clan
The last cache for the night on our way to Christchurch from Nelson, found about 11 pm. Thanks monson.clan

After delivering my son's scooter to him in Christchurch yesterday, today I am driving back home to Nelson. I had time to find a few caches along the way. This series is one of the things that brought me to this area. TFTC, Biggles.
When our mechanic closed his business (for family reasons) & took a job in Rangiora. This means that when I bring the car out for a WoF or service I need to do *something* to fill in my day. I've run out of Rangiora caches within walking distance, but they have loan cars! Today I travelled in all directions but South, finding 34 caches (& *not* finding 3). I'll apologise now for the cut & paste logs, but I'll try to add a bit about each cache here:
This was an unexpected find as I was trying to get to Wombles Revenge. It turns out the paper road it's on doesn't go all the way, so I did a large block, including a stop here. As least it was an easy find.

A beautifully fine sunny Canterbury winter day so we set off to do the child name series, plus a few others. Rodney had solved the puzzles earlier in the week and enjoyed doing so. 125km travelled. 41 finds. 0 DNFs. This was cache find number forty one for the day. Had to do a detour because of roadworks. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Needed one for souvenir day and this was the closest 'easy' one for me. Except for the person going for a walk on 'my' stretch of road. And then once he had moved far enough away for me to pull up to gz , 2 cars exited the nearby driveway so I had to wait for them to move on. However, then it was an easy find. Thanks CO
Well I didn't even know what direction we were driving in, fortunately my driver did!
Thanks

Mum had her Lion's Cabinet meeting in Amberley yesterday so on the way home today we combined some cache maintenance with caching for the last of our Mystery of the Museum finds. A nice quick easy find here. There was some cute wee lambs in the paddock behind. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.
JD and I were out on a mission to grab as many jewels as possible for 'Mystery at the Museum'. We had a fun time running around although we got into a few muddy places. The smell of farms in winter reminds me of my childhood, so I also had a nice trip down memory lane. We signed the log as Team Jeje. Tftc.
Out and about with Injeanious today finding some caches for Mystery at the Museum, we signed our logs as Team JeJe. We got a little wet and muddy along the way but we were happy to find what we were looking for, TFTC!
On my way back to Tasman after visiting in Tuahiwi. Not much time for caching on this trip, so I jumped at the chance to grab a close one with no traffic around this late morning.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
Decided the caches along this shortcut would make a good wee side step on the way home and add a few more to the tally. TFTC # 13,979
Found this quickly after attending the CITO today. But putting it back proved to be very difficult as all the local muggles were eyeing us up, so we went back 3 times until they'd all disappeared back inside.

Wanted to find a few caches to fill up this day a bit more on the calendar, and also to finally knock these oh so close to home caches off!!
I've not had much time for caching recently, and have barely checked my map, but finally have been a bit more onto things!
So today mum & I decided to go for a wee drive - with little miss 2 in the car too.
She wanted to sign them all! Haha!

Out for a spot of cyclocaching around Rangiora. This cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Came down this road due to road works on main road. So a bit more traffic than average I guess. Saw the obvious spot and have it a good going over. No joy. Was about to give up when spied out of the corner of my eye a camoed container out in the field about 2 metres behind the fence. I used a stick to get it back within reach, and retrieved it. No log sheet, so I got a spare one from the car and replaced the cache as per hint. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2014
To continue with my personal challenge of having found a minimum of 10 caches for every day of the year I needed to find 6 caches today to bring my total finds for the 5th December to 10. I realised that the necessary number of caches would most easily be achieved with a cyclocache ride from home. I biked out via Tuahiwi to get this the first cache. As I approached GZ I realised that a road walking muggle would probably catch me at GZ so I continued on out to the Woodend-Rangiora road intersection before doubling back. When I reached GZ the muggle was well clear and was no longer a problem. Nice quick signing and I was off on my way to #2. [^]
And finally arrived, although not quite sure whether this shortcut is actually cutting anything. TFTC
#1 found and we're nearly back home.Parking was a wee bit tricky coming this way,and another car passed us while signing the Log Book, but thank goodness he didn't stop..TFTH
A nice wee easy series..Thanks Monson Clan

Went for a ride with shannonp1 and cleaned these up on our way home. Great series and some new local caches. Thanks for the effort that goes in to placing and maintaining the caches.
Out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG and had a few to tidy up around the 'neighbourhood'. Fun evening our as usual. Nice to have the longer evenings too.
Quick find on our way to Rangers.

Monday night mad mission time again with TheWanglers. Decided to head out adn complete the shortcut. Quick find and sign here right on dusk. Cheers!
A tarsealed road on a Shortcut!!! Luxury. These road are not that wide, and there isn't much parking but who cares, we're only there for a minute. Thanks.
A quick and easy find. Thanks
It's a nice day for a drive around Christchurch. The sun is shining and the wind is blowing, and I hear the call of the cache.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

After finding #2 to #5, we had to back track to get this one. Probably better parking coming from Woodend, and we got "the look" from a couple of vehicles who passed us while we were parked there . Maybe they were in a hurry.
Thanks for introducing us to this short cut between Woodened and Rangiora, monson.clan and thanks for the trail.

#16266 (FTF #207). Should have been the first find of the series, but due to navigational issues it turned out to be the last of the five. We parked across the road next to the ditch (not great parking there). Troodles made a quick find. TFTC.
