G'day from Brisbane Have some work around Canberra this week.A beautiful day around Lake Tuggeranong. Getting the hang of these caches now.Sometimes it's wise to step back and scan the area. Found about 6m from my gpsr's gz.TNLN TFTC!Sea Scouts at play!
Finally able to log these caches after a major computer malfunction. Thanks Tankengine
In the area, to pick up a few caches.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Tankengine, for us and others to find.
Found with the kids while riding round the lake. TFTC Logged with GeoCaches iOS application
If it was hanging using string someone has pulled it off and it is no longer here
I actually found this cache on 30/12/2023, but have neglected to log it until now. I still remember the evening i walked down to the lake to find it. It was a beautiful evening and the sun had just set. I had a look for the geocache, and then took my headphones out and sat on the end of the dock, taking in the whole scene. There were two people in kayaks having a leisurely row around the lake, heading back in to stow their boats before dark. It was so nice listening to the lake lapping at the shore. Thanks for the cache and the nice evening walk
On ye knees. And tricky to reinsert the log into male end of cache
But all good. Nearby bbq for toasted sandwiches lunch.

In Canberra for the week to do some hiking and exploring, this afternoon Chook met up with WendyB158 and friend Sue, to finish off the day with a lap of Lake Tuggeranong.
After we had all spent a few minutes looking looking, we were about to call it, when Chook had a better look and there it was. All good at GZ. Such a beautiful day to be out walking on this lovely circuit.

We came to Canberra for our grandsons birthday, had a lovely day around the lake and this cache near by for us to grab.

Waiting for people to arrive for the event we decided to wander and pick this one up. Thanks for another great hide
Another very full log.
Another very full log.
Tftc Thomas. Greetings from Canada. Out with a group of muggles who have stopped to look at the swan family. Took the opportunity to grab this cache.
Keen to find old cache "Animal Antics" but came to slightly the wrong spot. No matter there's a geocache nearby . This one took me longer to find than it should have, but by the end of the weekend I had seen a couple of caches in the same nicely secured fashion. Beautiful view, TFTC!
#16786 - 1:20:00 PM; Out on a caching run with Sol de lune after attending a Community event. Collected a couple more caches as we headed for home. A few Tankengine caches today which add to the event too!. TFTC Tankengine
Stopped off with LuckyL10n for a couple more caches after the event. Parked nearby for this one and after a short search the cache was soon spied. Log signed and we were off for another one.
Thanks for another one TE.....

Out in the cold and drizzle… no better day to pick up some caches around Lake Tuggeranong!
I eventually reached my mid week after work caching trip. I again headed down south for a few caches. A few simple walks for multi's and a difficult over water cache. Further south I came on an area with no pathway to the right reserve. I did not get wet despite the heavy skies and returned home in time for dinner.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

I haven't done any caches in a while and I can tell. My innate cache finding senses were well off today. Luckily after a bit of searching I did find the cache. TFTC
The_proton had this one in hand fairly quickly! Nice little spot, many birds around making their various noises! TFTC.
A quicker find than the last of this series we did, which was good as there were many more muggles wandering past. TFTC.
Find #4662
Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to Tankengine for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

I was lucky say down and put my hand on it straight away nice, found just before second Covid vaccination..
great spot for a cache .. well done!!

The rain, the dark and the wind did not make this a pleasant experience. Add to that a Flying fox in the tree overhead, which took offence to my presence and added a ghostly atmosphere to the area.
However, this cache was an easy find and I think, other than briefly using my torch, I could do the rest with the provided streetlights.

Once again, this one took about 25 minutes as we got colder and colder with the icy breeze coming off the lake. However, there it was! TFTC
Nice hiding place. Just took a long time to find and we were freezing on this extremely cold morning. TFTC Tankengine.
Lovely afternoon view been here a couple times vefore but both times there were people fishing on the dock! Tftc
Found after a little search. Didn't have a pen to record after a spontaneous decision to geocache.
I have had a few caches sitting in my 'write up' list for a little while now. Sorry for leaving it so long to log. Either signed BYK or our full name. We did have lots of fun finding a few around this area after a BBQ close by. What a fantastic area!
I had made an attempt on this cache a few weeks back, but didn’t log a DNF as I didn’t actually get a chance to look for it.
I wasn’t thwarted by muggles however. I was sent on my way by some very defensive swamp hens protecting their brood. It must have looked hilarious as they squawked and literally flew up my back as I retreated.
Note: They can be somewhat aggressive.
Not worth upsetting them further I left it for another day.
Today I had the GZ to myself and found in the second place I checked.
Thanks Tankengine for the cache!

Oops, I logged the wrong cache , but corrected now.
I lay down on my stomach, peered underneath, moved, lay down on my stomach again, peered underneath, repeated this, repeated this...then finally I spotted the cache...not as hard a spot as I imagined. My Garmin showed six metres and showed S 35° 24.305 E 149° 04.265. Fortunately it was quiet here today. TFTC Tankengine.

On an enjoyable caching expedition with Goldenwattle and Decrypter. Parked nearby and after a bit of a hunt, Goldenwattle made the find. TFTC Tankengine.
A fun find for the geo-grandkids, and their young knees did the difficult job of finding and retrieving the cache. I avoided the beautiful but aggressive swans, who thought they were acting like seagulls chasing food (not that we fed them!)
TFTC!
TFTC!
Went out with DarksideDAN to grab a few caches around this lake, nice walk around Lake, got togz and an easy one to find. It has been a long time since I have been out this way. TFTC Tankengine.
Walking clockwise around the lake with TheSkype, picking up caches that for some reason I had yet to do, possibly because they are quite recent. Found this one over a year ago without a pen. This time I had one and logged it as found. Tftc
Tftc... Came with TaytoTaffy to check this out and had a blast. Lots of muggles including horses
I don't often come to the southside....but when I do I find caches in three different suburbs. Couldn't find an underpass, so I played Frogger across Drakeford Dr, then found the hanging monkey cache while watching some yoga across the lake TFTC!
