25-Feb-23
Found on our way back from a stroll around the new Namarag reserve. We had all but given up on finding this one when we tried one last spot, and sure enough, there it was!
TFTC.

12-Feb-23
Found after a bit of searching - thanks charlotteleclerc for bringing us back to this bridge - it has been a while since we found the cache opposite and the area has certainly changed with the development of the Namarag Nature Reserve.

14-Jan-23
Found with Daniel. Nice hide and lovely bridge. Second charlotteleclerc (any relation to Charles Leclerc of F1 driving fame‽) find for the day. Good to see a bit of variety between this and the other Butters Bridge cache. TFTC

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

20-Dec-22
With a CC event in the area, I made an early morning pre work visit. It was great to be able to attend the event and then continue on for the caches and ALs in the area.

Had a quick look as I passed on my way to the event. Take two as i made my way back to the car. This took a good look, or feel as it ended up before it was found... but found it was!

20-Dec-22
Found whilst in the area for the CC event. Nabbed this on the way back to the car. Surprisingly, it was a quick find, I got lucky with my search I think! Awesome hide! TFTC charlotteleclerc!

12-Dec-22
We looked for this one on our walk across the bridge and into the reserve today, but decided to move on, as there were some others braving the wind, rain and cold, taking their dog for a walk.

On our return walk back to the car, we decided to have a more detailed inspection, and after a good search, the little sneaky Hide was revealed.
Log signed!
Thanks charlotteleclerc

Out with runner5ive on a sunny day to grab some caches and explore new areas of Canberra. (Well new for us).

Easy to grab, but blends in well.

12-Nov-22
I don’t think I’d have found this if I weren’t caching with Aramil. TFTC

05-Nov-22
Looked for a while, no luck

13-Sep-22
Out today with iPlod65 to check out this new area. Although it's early days, we were quite impressed by the scale of this new area. We will watch with interest in years to come.
We both searched for a while here both on the way in and out, but to now avail.
Thanks anyway charlotteleclerc

18-Aug-22
Quick find. Tftc

18-Jun-22
My goal was to cache in Namarag reserve, and looking at the map the easiest way looks from Whitlam via pipe flat track. In Whitlam that proved a fruitless task, as I didn’t realise that there was easy parking at Namarag carpark which then lead north to butters bridge (never knew that existed) and onto Namarag reserve. Once I had figured that out the rest was plain sailing, and caches and AL found.
After a scenic walk across the bridge found cache.

#2305 As we approached GZ DeadThief was drawn to one side while I was drawn to the other. DT turned out to be on the right path and soon located the cache. Thanks charlotteleclerc for placing this cache.

Back in Canberra for a stint. Best catch some caches, old and new. TFTC.
Still impressed with the size of the walk bridge in the middle of nowhere. Lots of pedestrians too.

18-Feb-22
Had a look on the way over, but didn't see it. Had another look on the way back and spotted it in a place that I had looked before. Good camo and sunglasses didn't help the find!

Thanks,

06-Feb-22
A fast find while exploring around the area. TFTH

24-Jan-22
Lots are saying this one was easy and the other side was hard. I had the complete opposite experience! Spent so long and even checked EXACTLY where it is and missed it somehow. Good one Smile

24-Jan-22
Tftc. Lovely walk over the bridge. Nice rest area midway… the river below.

21-Jan-22

Awesome bridge and river view. Nice easy find. TFTC.

Out and about with my Father for a walk so decided to make it in Namarag to retrieve a previously placed cache that was too close to another. Whilst exploring the area again we stopped past and quickly grabbed this one.

#12437 - 12:12:00 PM; After catching up with an old mate for morning coffee, I was about to head for home when I got a call from Sol de lune about a caching mission around the newer areas in Molonglo. Started the mission rectifying a couple of recent DNFs for Sdl in Denman Prospect, then collected a couple more in the area before heading across the river to the new Namarag Park to start the adventure lab and collect some newer caches in the area, along with a couple of older ones for me. Wrapped up the mission with a few more older caches for me in Holder, Duffy and Rivett. All up eleven caches and an AL for me today. All caches were found in good order and returned as found after the logs were signed. No problems here, now over to the other end for its namesake! TFTC charlotteleclerc Smile

19-Oct-21
Was so disappointed about the fence blocking access to 1 wherigo and 2 exploring

26-Sep-21
Great morning to be out exercising in our group of 5. Doing a series of caches in this area today. Tftc

26-Sep-21
Out and about with Albida, Kittykatch, Joolay and Barb2e for some wholesome exercise.

Wonderful Spring weather.

We had to lie on our bellies to take some photos that weren't obscured by iron lattice.

Also found an interesting Potter's Wasp nest on the Poo Pipe.

I think only Joolay, Barb2e and I had to sign this cache. The others had found it during an earlier visit.

26-Sep-21
We came for a walk from Denman Prospect to Coppins Crossing and did a few caches along the way.

It was great to have a reason to walk across the bridge. I will come back when it is open to check out the park that they are building.

A good little cache with very accurate coords.

24-Sep-21

Today’s adventures saw me collecting smiles around Coombs and Denman Prospect on a gloriously sunny ?? winter’s day after all the rain of late.

All logs in good condition unless otherwise noted.

Thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches

06-Mar-21
New log installed... cache on!

05-Mar-21
Parked very close to SDL's 50 logbooks cache off Coppins Crossing Rd cache before embarking on a short hiking loop along the Molonglo River.

Quite an impressive bridge, although for mine it does tilt towards the west-southwest, and I'm sure there's a bit of a vertical bend in it towards the Whitlam end - very visible from a distance, and even the shadow of the sides falling on the bridge shows the curve. Never mind, seemed OK to walk along today. Not certain about the dodgy electrical (lighting?) wires under the sides, they all seem a bit unfinished.

Walked along almost until the end, where I was able to locate the well-hidden cache before the construction fence started. Thanks, charlotteleclerc.

The logbook, however, is completely full and should be replaced. I have signed as MB in very small writing at the bottom of the sheet.

05-Mar-21
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

06-Feb-21
Out walking this area and after finding the other one, it was over for this one. With this end closed off while the landscaping is going on, I was worried that the fence might stop me from getting to GZ, but all was good and I had about 7 metres to spare. See photo.

Thanks charlotteleclerc......always enjoy a two for one sort of thing....

18-Oct-20
After failing to find on the first attempt we were happy to finally find it

18-Oct-20
Well, couldn't do one with out grabbing the other. Just shows the sheer size of this bridge that is can support not one but two caches! TFTC Smile

09-Oct-20
Got a message from ALL7 asking if I wanted to go for a bush walk. Working from home today I thought why not work is not going anywhere and will be here when I come home .

Lovely stroll out here today only came up missing for one cache we went for due to recent rain making it too dangerous to retrieve a cache even though we spotted it.
Even happier that we had no close encounters with wriggling sticks or swooping birds.

Very impressive bridge.

Thanks for the cache hide charlotteleclerc

07-Sep-20
I DNFd this one a while back. Another search today had with in a minute. Note sure what I was doing last time. After the find I sat at the seat in the centre and enjoyed the views while eating my lunch. Thanks for the cache.

16-Aug-20
Found!

02-Aug-20
Out for a long walk by the Molonglo with Noikmeister and JManJezza today. Had a great day for the most part along mostly easyish terrain by the river. Wandered along the bridge and enjoyed the views.

02-Aug-20
Out with NM and BG.
Pretty quick find one at GZ.

What an amazing bridge.

01-Aug-20
Cache 6361 on 1 Aug 2020.

Out early for a Saturday morning caching with Fox, ZQX, TikvaNZ and SpecimenX. Despite our early start we did not find our first cache for several hours...but which fortunately also involved an excellent almond croissant and tea for me, and similar yummy breakfast for the other members of the posse. A good walk and great company, and once we got into gear, 9 caches in fairly quick succession on the Molonglo river for TikvaNZ, SpecimenX and myself, starting at Coppins Crossing and finishing at Denman shops . I ended up with 10 caches for the morning before needing to head home.

Fifth one of the morning and one that had been on my radar for ages. I had found the cache at the other end some time ago now, so keen to complete the pair. SpecimenX had her hand on the cache fairly quickly fortunately. Photo attached of the awesome bridge. Looks like it is not quite straight!

Thanks charlotteleclerc for the cache and the fun!

01-Aug-20
After making the find on another up the other end, AngelG27, TikvaNZ and I wandered along to this one and it was a quick find and sign.

Thanks for the hide, charlotteleclerc Smile

21-Jul-20
First time with the complete crossing .
Only been to first end , now complete .
Many thanks for the sneaky hide.

15-Jul-20
We set out for a mini adventure for 7yos today. They were getting tired and a little grumpy by the time we got here, so I had to whip out some lolly snakes to entice them to keep looking for the cache. And it worked, one of them found it quite quickly straight after the sugar hit. Thanks for the cache charlotteleclerc - a good one!

07-Jul-20
Found one at the opposite end of the bridge, which took us a while to locate. After that, this one was a breeze.
TFTC

05-Jul-20
Returned here today with the family hoping to avenge my DNF of about a year ago. After not finding again in the other side of the bridge we walked over this side admiring the view. After a check of multiple levels, I found it and shouted out to the family who were half way back over. Turned out I’d lost the pen on an earlier level so a pic is attached. Thanks for the cache and fun. Tftc.

26-Jun-20
Ca ch e took quite a while to find, almost gave up and then decided to look once more where I thought it might be. Really interesting spot and nice views. Tftc

19-Jun-20
Picked this one up as I was going past this morning. I tried using the mobile phone and it had me all over the place, even 25 M away at one stage. After giving up I was heading off on the walk when I spied the cache container. Ended up with a nice find.

17-Jun-20
On a nice loop walk from Coppins Crossing, this was a lucky find. TFTC

06-Jun-20
This was a quicker find here after checking the hint. Shame about the views being blocked along the bridge. Tftc

24-May-20

Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it charlotteleclerc.

24-May-20
Found together with Fred.

Logging some tbs

24-May-20
Out walking with the entire family and the aunt. I picked this spot as I it was a nice short walk we could do with the dog and there were some caches that I had not yet found Wink.

This was almost the furthest point of our walk. Cache was found quickly by bravely checking places with my hands, but I had not time to wast as the family was already ahead of me after I deployed some GCA movable in the area. All in good order. This bridge certainly deserves two caches on it Smile

Thank you charlotteleclerc for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

17-May-20
Did not find either of the caches on the bridge today!

14-May-20
This one was hard! Thanks!

09-May-20
I have wanted to walk along the banks on this side of the river for a while so a plan was hatched.

Parking up near the "50 must see log books" cache then walk to Butters Bridge, then back and along the path, following all the way to Flying Fox II and beyond. It was about a 14km walk in sun, rain and wind. But luckily it only really started raining once back at the car and heading to McDs for a hot chocolate.

Many interesting things were along the way like a very long red belly black snake, fluffy kangaroos and wallabies, amazing cliffs, a wondrous wedged tail eagle and its massive nest.

This Cache: This was a striaghtforward find and the cache was all in good order. Tftc chralotteleclerc!!!

09-May-20
Quick find on a lovely sunny day walking the Molongolo River. Quick stop before walking on. TFTC

09-May-20
Found today with Joolay. Fabulous bridge.

Condition Report:. Good and dry
Log Status:. Lots of room

Thanks for hiding this cache charlotteleclerc

21-Apr-20
A quick find today signed DSD

29-Mar-20
Social distancing at its best. Found on a lone mtb ride. Scratched my head for a bit and when different levels. Then about to give up I gave it one more go and hazah!!! Tftc

27-Mar-20
In these coronavirus times, the solitary activity of geocaching seems to fit the bill, providing ample fresh air and exercise opportunities. This afternoon, I sought a few caches in and around Denman Prospect. After failing to locate Tankengine’s cache at the other end of the bridge, I was pleasantly surprised to find this cache almost straightaway. Thank you charlotteleclerc for installing and maintaining this cache.

23-Mar-20
This afternoon’s focus was to get active exercise now that sports clubs are closed. This cache, and a few others around this location, looked like a good physical challenge. We completed the Wherigo walking 3km along the river then doubled back to pick up this puzzle cache down close to Coppins Crossing. Then headed off across the road to Butters Bridge to get the last cache of the day. Mid afternoon we walked 6.87km over 3hours for a total ascent/descent of 174m.

This cache took a while to find but persistence paid off with GZ spot-on. Great views from the walkway. TFTC charlotteleclerc.

23-Feb-20
I approached this one with some trepidation as the other one took more than one visit to find and friends TravelGran and Gerriactive had already found it before me. Oh, the pressure!! Anyway, after being completely bamboozled, I realised I was reading the logs of a completely different cache - settle down!! Did find it and just loved the hide - thanku.

07-Feb-20
I am just delighted to log this cache, altho' honours go to Gerriactive, after searching for nearly 30 mins, reading back logs, taking note of the hint, I was ready to give up, but something made Gerriactive look in another spot, and wow, she had cache in hand, I thought a rather sneaky find, you almost had us fooled Charlotteleclerc! Thanks for taking us for a stroll to the other end of this very interesting bridge.

07-Feb-20
Travelgran and I made this one harder than we should have. Then again it was tucked away in a sneaky hiding place. So nice to be walking this amazing bridge. Thank you Charlotteleclerc for having us puzzled for a while.

09-Jan-20
Walk with GeoDog all the way for hour... thanks

19-Dec-19
So great to get out and stretch the legs. Gliss! and I are slowly picking off all the caches in the area as part of our daily streaks. A nice clear walk considering how smokey it has been lately. A great fast find at GZ. Thanks so much for the cache.

19-Dec-19
Nibletricecakes and I found the other Butters Bridge cache earlier this week and were back today to collect a smiley on the other side. I really like this patch of bushland amongst the ever encroaching suburbia. Hmmmm... I do have a container from the Secret Santa event, perhaps I've found the right spot for it??? TFTC

29-Nov-19
Found at 6:43:00 PM

Nice work. It was as much like looking in a mirror from the other cache as you could do.

Thanks charlotteleclerc

19-Oct-19
19,199. Found during a meander around South Canberra (mainly) today with minniek plus a muggle (noodles).

Having picked up minniek's cousin - visiting from Adelaide - we went out caching so I had something to do during the gab-fest. Having done 'the other side' almost three years ago it was time to tick off this one. We stopped for the first one for minniek, then walked the impressive distance over for a quick find on this one.

Thanks charlotteleclerc !!

19-Oct-19
Impromptu caching day when my cousin came for a fleeting visit from Adelaide. Rather than sitting in a hotel room or a long lunch somewhere, she was happy to sit in the car and come caching.

Now this is the type of bridge I like...something nice and solid! After finding Butters Bridge, it was a nice stroll to the other side. Fitzy_1965 came up with a quick find.

23-Sep-19
Second DNF on the bridge this morning. Very impressive bridge. Only time for a brief search today. Too tricky for me. I’ll be back.

01-Sep-19
Out and about MTBing the Pipeline Trail before Whitlam etc make a meal of the area. I had no idea this bridge was here. Found in a bit under a minute Smile

27-Aug-19
Despite the accurate coords, I found this quite a struggle and thought an extra half * might even be merited! Perhaps that’s just my cache blindness. Got there eventually and worth a FP for the challenge. TFTC clc
