Staying at Kurrimine Beach for a 70th birthday party tomorrow night. Went to Babinda Bakery and Babinda Boulders - both very impressive!! Filling in the afternoon caching.

I made it to Townsville. 18 days on my bicycle cycling over 1850km from Toowoomba to get to Townsville for the Mega Event. Another 3 days, and 380km later I am in Fishery Falls continuing my way North to Cairns.
I am finding a few caches along the way as I go. A good excuse to get off of the bike for a moment or two.
Now to continue North on the bike.

A suitable place to stop saw us pull over for this one. Mrs SKI dashed across the road, circled a few times and then found the cache. A welcome break in the rain!

Travelling from Cardwell to cairns today, the last part of our trip north before we turn for home. There were heavy showers overnight and they continued today, although not as heavy. We planned to look for quite a number of caches on our travels today but this was limited by the weather. A number we just passed.
Our thanks to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to look for.

Cairns trip 2019. Day 6. This was my last travel day before my train ride. It took me from Reids River to Cairns via Townsville (wow they have better roads than Canberra), Ingham, Cardwell, Tully and Inisfail. It is warm now. I had to maneuver a bit to get on the correct side of the road, but when there was rewarded with a good find in a safe spot.

Stopped in between rain showers. We needed a different kind of tool to access the log.
