We didn’t find, this cache, but fully enjoyed exploring this gorgeous little park. I’ve lived in Townsville for over 15 years and didn’t know that it existed!
I was nearby looking for another treasure so I checked on this one.
The area has been cleared and the cache isn’t where I previously found it.
Edit. Reading the logs I see it was moved a while ago. I had a good scratch around where the GPS was pointing me but couldn't find anything. Could do with a check

Went up to the park today and got a big surprise (from a big lizard). No bears that ever there were were here today. Which enabled a fairly frantic search in a wide radius but came up empty handed.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 82. Townsville second visit Day 2. After a day off yesterday, I decided to have a bigger day today. I started in the city, then went out to the port region and then headed back around the strand to finish along Pallerang road. Back to urban caching is a challenge, and several DNFs today. I was very happy to find those I was able to and I enjoyed a fantastic pie from a convenience store in Belgian Gardens..
Plenty of spots for a cache, lots of signs of turning of the mulch, but I was not able to locate this one today.
Thanks.

No children playing here today, which made it easier to search.

Day 4 of my Townsville trip for the Mega with SnappyTomCats. After dinner the night was too nice to waste so we decided to venture out into the darkness to find some more spots to investigate. Things look so much different at night.
The cache was easily spotted, stamped & placed back as found.

Day 4 of our Townsville Mega event weekend. After a full day of caching the Strand with hevwalker we had a great meal at a steakhouse across from our Hotel and then headed out into the night to finalise a couple of Ad labs back down on the STand and the Barracks gardens plus knock off a couple of Trads. I'm sure this would have been easier in the daytime...we found the it though, after a brief search by torchlight. TFTC
What an amazing little cache! Such a cute playground with awesome views!! This earned a favourite point for sure!
Super cute thanks for hiding and giving us a reason to explore this area. Fav point

Replaced log roll and treated ants to some surface spray. Cache ready to be found. Happy hunting.

In the early hours of Saturday, the 2nd of November 2019 I got one of those phone calls from your mum that you don’t ever want to get. My brother had attempted suicide and was in the ICU of the Townsville hospital, and he wasn’t expected to survive. By the 3rd of November I was joining his wife and kids, my mum, my dad and my sister around my brother’s bedside. Through the following week I would use my geocaching to explore Townsville, to clear my head and to be just by myself to cry.
My brother had died 3 days ago and so I spent the day ferrying people to the airport as we all started to leave town. I was on a flight tomorrow, so I spent today with my parents. Up early again though so time to duck up and grab this cache and a cup of coffee before going to their place. TFTC.

Found by Mary and David at 11:10. Some very expensive real estate up here! Great views too. A quick one, with nobody else about. Our thanks to TeamMRG.
The mini rats have been away on holidays with the Rats on another fantastic family holiday. We made it all the way to Cape York and along the way we found this cache. Thanks for adding to the thrill of our holiday.
Sorry the log is a standard template style.

The Rats and mini rats have just returned from an amazing 6-week adventure to Cape York. Along the way we had time to stop and grab a big handful of caches, some of our finds were in the remotest parts of Australia. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing your cache, you've all contributed to us having a great holiday. Apologises for the generic log.
