The weather this morning was not looking great, cloudy and overcast after some rain overnight but we decided to head out anyway down to Kurri Kurri to check out the murals. We took the loop route caching as we went before spending time in Kurri to look around, complete a Lab and have some great local fish and chips before heading back the more direct but busier way.We came across some great 3D printed cache containers and a couple of innovative ones as well, also completing a multi. We managed to dodge the rain and had a good day out.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kingfisher_au.**SKI Pair****
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Today we moved from Morisset to Maitland. Once we dropped off the van and had some lunch it was off to try and complete the Map of Tasmania. Boy was it hard work with multiple DNF's at the start, we were even doubting our caching mojo after a while. Mr F wasn't a happy driver as the roads were very busy, glad it was the weekend, assuming it's busier on weekdays[?]Got home at sunset with only 1 left to tackle tomorrow. It's a shame cachers seem hesitant to log needs maintenance and DNF's both of which help Cache owner keep on top of pending maitenance.TFTC kingfisher_au
Reperio 10:19Today was Day 2 of our return to Newcastle escapade caching trip, and Master Vitruvius and I started on some caches around the Cessnock/Maitland area. We decided to finally tackle the R&D series today, and along side navigating some of the dangerous and at times illegal places to park, we managed to get through the series pretty well, and found most of the caches in good condition. It was nice to be able to revisit this area again after moving away. The log is soaked and mush on this one. Like others before us we only found a log which was dry and we sign and replaced where we found it. Wow what a day out caching for the first time with KAZ444 we had a great day and made over 20 finds. We finished with a wine at Kurri Kurri Bowlo. All in all it was a great day and we will repeat.
Just like Jackscruff said just the log on the the tree. Unfortunately I didnt have any bags with me as this was a spur of the moment detour on our way back to Sydney. Signed and replaced as found. TFTC
I parked in Stringybark Place and walked back to GZ.It seems that someone has taken a liking to your containers and removed them. At some locations they have removed the log in it's bag from the container and sort of hidden it at the GZ co-ordinates. At this cache there was no container and sadly no bag but the logbook with entries matching the online logs was wedged in a tree. I managed to write my name and the date - just.TFTC # 5820
Found the log book scattered unfortunately it was not in container and soaking wet this cache needs maintenance
#10084 (11 of 20 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)It's a while since I've gone crazy and grabbed a goodly number of caches in a day. But thought, what the heck, might as well give it another go.I noticed the area around Kurri Kurri was still rife for more finds, including a few unfinished powertrails - been a while since I've been back there, too. So decided on a combo of a few bush caches, P&Gs and ALs. A disaster at one cache delayed me somewhat [ ] but I still managed twenty for the day. And I timed my return home perfectly for dinner.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###I had previously done* #15 - 20* of this series on an earlier excursion here, so though I'd tackle the next section -* #9 - 14*.A nice quick set of finds to up my numbers today. For the third time I parked in the side street and walked to GZ as I couldn't see a safe park on Gingers Lane.Signed, replaced and headed for a nearby AL. Interesting set of containers.SLTNLNTFTC
Staying the weekend camping in the Watagans, we went out on the Saturday to find some caches, when we stumbled over this series. We decided to do the whole series, even though we started from the end.The cache was soon found, but unfortunately the log was soaked and very hard to write in,
Another easy find,
The logobook is totally soaked though and I had no time to dry it out as I had 3 hours driving ahead
Sorry

We are heading up the coast to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.
Out grabbing a few of this series while we are staying in thea area.
The nice container was found but took longer than it should have. Log book is wet.
Thanks kingfisher_au for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasn’t to be. I stopped next to this one while the rain and hail flogged down. I didn’t find the cache but found someone’s pen.
Thanks anyway kingfisher_au
Thanks anyway kingfisher_au
More difficult to find - thank goodness for the hint! Log wet & damaged so I put a new piece of paper in it. TFTC
trying to catch up on some well overdue logs. found with banj5150 a while ago. will readjust date according, when i have access to my computer again. tftc
Driving around from New Zealand. Finding some caches as we went. Thanks to the cache owners.
Hope this one's not rapidly biodegradable. In good condition so far. Thanks kingfisher_au.
Gotta love the road upgrades here. They’ve given us geocachers a parking lane (or maybe it’s meant to be a bike lane )! TFTC
Loved the containers of this series. Found this leg with Steam koala. Thank you for all your heard work.

Found today with nellc while on a drive around to get out of the house.

Nice one to add to this series. I went to find this like 3 months ago with no luck... Now with experience I am spitting them quicker. Tftc!
Tftc kingfisher_au, love the containers in this series. Hope you had as much fun making them as we did searching.
Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Despite our best efforts, we could not find anything here today. Oh well, there is always next time!
Looks like this one may have gone when they did up the road?

I joined a trip to Maitland with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine, Barb2e, Kitty Katch & Joolay. The weekends main game was to do the dogs head series, but along the way we did some old caches around Sydney and did as many Maitland caches as time allowed. The return journey was via some old caches and some challenges that may or may not be met one day.
Day 2 was the dogs head series and three other series around Kurri Kurri. The R&D caches and many other Maitland caches are absolutely fantastic containers showing great creativity with new tools.
Thanks for the cache kingfisher_au

Found with and signed the Capital Crunchers who are: dty73, Tankengine, Joolay, kittycatch, Albida33, Barb2e.
A four day caching trip up around Maitland collecting a number of caches of interest to suit everyone along for the fun. A lovely area, very scenic, green and lots of historic locations. Also some great caching to be done while in the area as well as on our way there and home.
The 'Dogs head' was a main focus of the trip, and took us the the best part of the day along with a few smaller trails and a few as we passed but a lovely scenic area to spend the day in. Most caches were straight forward finds, a few took a little search and others are great 3D printed designs or LARGE! Great trail through a great area, thanks for the cache kingfisher_au.

At the roundabout, there are signs saying "Road Closed", which i had read in previous logs, though i was hoping that it was reopened by now, or this being Sunday, no work would be going on. As it turns out, only a small section of the road is now closed, and no cache is on that section, i just walked through.
Back on the hunt, and this one was in plain sight if you are on the right side. Feels like i have eyes on me. Must be a dam over that rise, i can hear the ducks conversing.
Hand sanitsising and social distancing (only saw people in cars all day), was exercised all morning during these difficult C-19 times.

Ginger lane is closed due to construction works.
I’ve tried accessing the street from both sides and was able to get to the middle two by foot.
I think the builders weren’t appreciating the fact of me roaming around there so please avoid going there for now until construction is finished.
Thank for the very nice boxes
Hightech enables it

In Kurri for a weekend of Geocaching with Wazza9, quick find, stamped the log and replaced. Thanks to kingfisher_au for the great series and the well crafted containers
TFTC,
Came up here today with the idea of achieving more than we did. After a while, the numbers didn't matter and rain stopped us from doing some walking caches at a critcal time.
Great to have a chance to do a variety of caches placed by different cachers, thanks for providing and continuing to maintain your caches.

Doing the series in hope of bringing up a milestone today. What an interesting bunch of containers. Shame about the busy road. On a Saturday morning as well. Imagine what it must be like on weekdays.
Guessing this series is by the guy I was on the quiz table with at the Wollongong mega

We loved the 3D containers and thank you for the effort that you have put into making them. This is the first time we have seen this style of hand made containers. All caches found are in good condition. SL TFTC
This was a really fun series of caches to find. Each container was different and all were very well made. We looked forward in anticipation, along with ilook4geo, wondering what the next cache would be like. Many thanks go to kingfisher_au for creating all these containers and placing them along this road, which was not overly busy on this public holiday Monday.
Found this series along with goingplaces2 and enjoyed each find. All logs were signed with two names or initials. Thank you for a well constructed series. This was an enjoyable run. TFTC.
This was such a fun series. Totally recommend it. You never know what is around the corner.
Up in Maitland with Nibletricecakes, Fitzy1965, MinnieK and Specimen X, to do the Dogs Head. We will go by the name of Capital Crunchers. We had solved quite a few of the puzzles before coming up and after doing the Dogs Head started on some of the others around the area. This trail is included in the list of to do's.
Our logs are signed CC, Capital Crunchers or stamped depending who wrote them.
Thanks for the effort in creating these trails and maintaining them.

Caching today as part of team Capital Crunchers (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, Nibletricecakes, Joolay and Roostaman) on our Maitland long weekend adventure. So glad we made the trek it has been truly delightful! As an added bonus we all hit a milestone (mine being 3000) AND racked up the most number of finds we have ever found in a day!! 310! An all round epic adventure. Thanks so much everyone!!

Headed to the Maitland area with fitzy_1965 & SpecimenX for an extra long weekend of caching.
Day 2 saw us joined by nibletricecakes, Joolay & even Roostaman (who happened to be staying in the same campground as us by chance). Dogs Head Trail was our main aim with others collected along the way.
With the big trail all finished, we pushed on to see if we could get over 300 for the day. All puzzles that we found were pre-solved before heading to the area.
All caches where found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Logs were either signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers, CC, Kapital Krunchers or KK.

After finishing the Dog's Head and Road to Wollombi Trails we headed along to do the R&D on the Road to Kurri Kurri Trail. Once again this was an amazing trail to do with some fantastic containers. All were found in great condition, signed and replaced.
Thanks kingfisher_au !! We really appreciate you putting out and maintaining these caches.
