Pouring rain here and its a bog. Will try again next time.

The weather this morning was not looking great, cloudy and overcast after some rain overnight but we decided to head out anyway down to Kurri Kurri to check out the murals. We took the loop route caching as we went before spending time in Kurri to look around, complete a Lab and have some great local fish and chips before heading back the more direct but busier way.We came across some great 3D printed cache containers and a couple of innovative ones as well, also completing a multi. We managed to dodge the rain and had a good day out.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kingfisher_au.**SKI Pair****

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Today we moved from Morisset to Maitland. Once we dropped off the van and had some lunch it was off to try and complete the Map of Tasmania. Boy was it hard work with multiple DNF's at the start, we were even doubting our caching mojo after a while. Mr F wasn't a happy driver as the roads were very busy, glad it was the weekend, assuming it's busier on weekdays[?]Got home at sunset with only 1 left to tackle tomorrow. It's a shame cachers seem hesitant to log needs maintenance and DNF's both of which help Cache owner keep on top of pending maitenance.TFTC kingfisher_au Cool

Came back the 3rd time still could not find I saw other people have recently found it so I thought I would revenge my Dnf I will not give up until I find it

14-Apr-24
Thought it had indeed been muggled as we were looking at the hint and previous photos and there was no sign of it. Then one of our group glanced elsewhere and spotted it. It is still there, although in a different container. Thanks for maintaining. Shame the original was muggled as it did look awesome!

Down this way for The Dixie Chicks concert with @Smithiesoutbackhear, was a good little find and pretty quick too. Cheers

In the area for The Chicks co cert at Bimbagen Estate with #Searchingformacca and, of course, had to grab some caches on the drive. This one was a nice quick grab today.

Staying the weekend camping in the Watagans, we went out on the Saturday to find some caches, when we stumbled over this series. We decided to do the whole series, even though we started from the end. This one we could not open, we did not want to use brute force. The container was sticky with resin, which probably was the reason for it being so tight. If the CO don't accept the photo as proof of the visit, then just delete the log.

16-Sep-23
Really creative but been recently cleared out so pretty easy to see

15-Sep-23
I got caught too by the sticky stuff.
Thanks for the cache

We are heading up the coast to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.

Out grabbing a few of this series while we are staying in thea area.

The great container was found after a short search, as I was looking at the wrong level.

Thanks kingfisher_au for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12459.

I was out today trying to find a few caches to help me along the way to this months challenge. It had been a while since I’d been out this way and I made my way long between storms. The trees had been pruned and this one was on the ground. I tucked it up as best as I could.

Thanks kingfisher_au for the cache.

It is a overcast day but the rain will hold off. I’m coming to Kurri from Newcastle because my mum travel bowler are coming to bowl at Kurri Kerri’s bowling club. I plan on meeting them for lunch. But it is only 11am heaps of time for a few quick caches and then an adventure cache and a virtual. I will be ready for lunch at about 1. I loved the 3d print caches you are very clever. Thank you for placing the trail and for maintaining it. Well done.

#9214 (11 of 15 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)I am gradually catching up with my logging - I'm missing two months worth or so. And that's over 100 caches! At least my most recent finds are up to date - just need to fill in the gap!To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, I just have to put my mind to my future goals... 25 per day? Owwww.Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###Decided to head north to the Hunter Valley, and the area around Kurri Kurri. Went for 15 caches, including five ALs and found everything I looked for. Excellent day, and there are still plenty of caches up here to plunder in the future.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Cute container!SLTNLNTFTC

Well 2020 has been a relatively slow year on the caching front due to COVID-19. If it wasn't for that it would have been a trip to the USA and Geocaching's 20th year celebrations.

However the crew got back together and The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up for a few days caching up around the Hunter area. First it was to finish off some of the older OZGM series caches then up into the Watagans for more. Most of Saturday was spent tackling the great Dogs Head Trail then on Sunday it was down into Newcastle city for some great caches.

This was another find on our trip.

TFTC!

COVID has really put a dampener on this year’s caching ability, but it hasn't stopped my enthusiasm to get out and find a cache whenever possible. So, it was with excitement that I was keen to catch up with Steeba and Hoojar for our first caching weekend of the year. Big Grin

We targeted a number of powertrails in the Central Coast and Hunter region over our 3-day caching frenzy. The weekend threw up a bit of everything, including a plethora of finds, mountain bush bashing, coastal caching, weather that varied from beautiful to bizarre, sleeping under the stars, some close calls with the flora and fauna, lovely local hospitality and most of all, a great time away with my mates”.

Thanks to all the C.O’s for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find. Apologises for the generic log but with so many finds I couldn’t personalise every one of them. Wink

Saturday dawned early with spectacular views from MacLeans lookout and a few nearby caches, one of these include my 19000th find. From here we headed south deep into the Watagans where we completed the LMHS trail. Our day concluded with a few caches around Kurri. Thanks Smile

25-Sep-20
With restrictions starting to ease in our Covid World, it was decided that 2020 caching really need to kick up a gear, and so a plan was set in motion for The Rats, Steeba and myself to head to the Newcastle and Hunter region. There were a few trails, power trails, and Lab Caches that would be hitting our radars, along with a milestone for The Rats. We headed off on Thursday evening and turned for jome on Sunday afternoon. A wonderful long weekend was had, and our cache finds topped 450 for the trip. All in all it was a great success.

The caches were excellent. Some indeed were amazing, and favourite points have been awarded. The company, as always, was faultless. The weather was varied. We had sun, rain, wind, colder, warm, more wind... A bit of everything! We managed to find a few nice spots to camp, and enjoyed the company of Big Matt and Marcus Vitruvius for dinner at a local establishment on Saturday evening.

Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.

Cheers

We are loving our journey around the Hunter Valley. Weather-wise, today is a repeat of yesterday with a stiff cold wind.

I joined a trip to Maitland with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine, Barb2e, Kitty Katch & Joolay. The weekends main game was to do the dogs head series, but along the way we did some old caches around Sydney and did as many Maitland caches as time allowed. The return journey was via some old caches and some challenges that may or may not be met one day.

Day 2 was the dogs head series and three other series around Kurri Kurri. The R&D caches and many other Maitland caches are absolutely fantastic containers showing great creativity with new tools.

Thanks for the cache kingfisher_au

Found with and signed the Capital Crunchers who are: dty73, Tankengine, Joolay, kittycatch, Albida33, Barb2e.

A four day caching trip up around Maitland collecting a number of caches of interest to suit everyone along for the fun. A lovely area, very scenic, green and lots of historic locations. Also some great caching to be done while in the area as well as on our way there and home.

The 'Dogs head' was a main focus of the trip, and took us the the best part of the day along with a few smaller trails and a few as we passed but a lovely scenic area to spend the day in. Most caches were straight forward finds, a few took a little search and others are great 3D printed designs or LARGE! Great trail through a great area, thanks for the cache kingfisher_au.

A caching trip away with Kittykatch, Joolay, Aquilus1, Tankengine, Barb2e & Albida33 - the Capital Crunchers Gang!!

Ginger lane is closed due to construction works.
I’ve tried accessing the street from both sides and was able to get to the middle two by foot.

I think the builders weren’t appreciating the fact of me roaming around there so please avoid going there for now until construction is finished.

Thank for the very nice boxes

After a DNF on the previous cache, I quickly scooted up the road to this one as I needed to be back home ideally by 7. Fortunately this one was a quick find after following the geotrail to the wrong spot. A nifty container indeed.
