### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there Captain_Carnage,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

Found with FUF009.
A really different day of caching for us. Involving a ferry, an island and a silt jetty. Usually we see wallabies and the odd bluey but today was all about the koala with the odd kanga.
I had a blast.
Sadly this was our last one as we DNF'd #6 and couldnt find the final. Thanks for the series in the coolest location. Tftc

Find # 10747
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed east from Sale to cache on Raymond Island with the Koalas and then drive out along the Mitchell River Silt Jetties.
Another interesting day but this one will take some beating.
2 Ferry rides, half a dozen koalas, some cool letterboxes, a great drive around an island, lookout views over Jones Bay, chatting with the odd fisherman along Rivermouth Rd and poor old Milo, the dog, that just loves Rabbit poo.
Sadly we dnfd #6 so we have to come back for the puzzle cache. But this one was a quick find... managed to sign the cache giving that the log is a little on the damp side.

The last find of the day! I’ve enjoyed my time in the area so much, thanks for the hide
Headed out with mezza75 after work. A quick find to fill a gap in my calendar heading home as showers settled in. Collected required information with the final held over for another day/another calendar gap.
Thanks Captain Carnage

Thanks Captain Carnage, fabulous location for a cache! Alas it is now very wet! Found with Jimmytherat on our 1st road trip after lockdown.
YAY - found it this afternoon . Cache is ok but feels a little damp. Collected the needed info to find another cache. Thanks Captain Carnage for setting up this series. I've enjoyed being out and about along the Silt Jetties today.

Found with the pooch while the kids were fishing. ‘‘Twas a nice easy find, not to far from the car park. Arrived back and master 9 caught a whopping big bream, hell bent on processing and eating it, took some convincing to let it go. We settled on bought fish n chips for dinner
Thanks for placing this cache, in such a stunning spot

Hunted way too long for this one and then my husband walked up and said “is this what you’re looking for “. TFTC
Great cache, came face to face with a rather large kangaroo. Log was wet but still able to sign tftc
This such an amazing feature- I find it quite magical driving out here but my husband finds it creepy with so much water around. A lovely sunny day today, perfect for caching and a picnic lunch. Thanks for the hide.
A week in Gippsland for golf and caching. Today found me at Raymond Island, Eaglepoint and Paynesville.
Last one on the bumpy track. Starting to get overcast, so want to head back before the rain. Didn't find any clues for No 8

While the others were out fishing along the silt jetty, we decided to spend the ample time available finding the caches along the road here.
We'd made a previous visit up and down the jetty not too long ago and a brief (and unmarked) DNF took place on this cache (the only one we really had time to search for in full given the rambunctious crowd in the car at the time).
I was met with spiderwebs, countless mosquitos (a common theme in this area) and sadly no cache, so I left both defeated and itchy (two feelings that do not make for a stellar combination).
Thankfully, aided by a very descriptive past log, a much quicker search took place this time around and it resulted in a find! Don't know how I didn't manage to spot it on the last occasion!
The logbook was signed and the mystery clue collected before all was replaced and I could retreat to the car to escape the mozzies!
Thanks to Captain_Carnage for placing this cache!

Fairly easy find.
Somehow the log book is wet and will need to be dried out, although I was still able to write in it.

Having to do a delivery to New South Wales we thought that we would take the opportunity to take a more scenic route and grab a few caches along the way.
We were attracted to this area's by the multi's as we are chasing them at the moment and the rest of the trads were a pure bonus. What a fantastic part of the world that we have never visited before and we have to say that we really enjoyed it even though it was a bit drizzly and muddy today but that might have worked in our favour and kept some of the local fishermen away but certainly not all. They must definitely love fish. We found all we looked for except for the mystery so all in all a very good afternoon.
Thanks Captain_Carnage for a great series of caches.

On holidays in Lakes Entrance for the week and decided fo go for a drive to Bairnsdale and Paynesville due to the rain today.
Visited the cache after driving out to The End, would have been straight forward if not for the spider the size of a salad bowl guarding the cache. I fought him off with the shovel from the geo4x4 and signed to log in between swings.
Dropped Land Shark GC
Cache logged with sanitised hands.

We have just ended a wonderful week in Gippsland to celebrate Mr A's 50th birthday, as well as the reopening of rural Victoria which is also a reason for us to celebrate. We had a great time in Metung, Lakes Entrance and Paynesville. Thank you for placing this cache in this very special location. We will always remember our trip here. TFTC
With another reasonable day and the wind not so strong earlier in the day we left after a hearty breakfast in a cafe in Paynesville to do some more caching. Today it was off to Eagle Point and then out on the the Mitchell River Silt Jetties before walking the trail back to Paynesville. (We only walked the trail, having driven the rest).
A good day with a variety of hides, cache types and some great views.

Unfortunately we couldn’t gain access to this cache due to ‘construction ‘ see pic
Temporarily disabled due to construction works for erosion along the silt jetties
Today I headed out the silt jetties to find the caches and once again admire this scenic area.
Enjoyed exploring out the end of the Silt Jetties, the road has a few potholes in though but not a concern for the 4wd. So found the cache quickly and signed the log. TFTC

Found by Mary and David at 15:00:00. Wall to wall water birds on the other side of the river. Just breathtaking, and a sailing boat glides by silently with white sails unfurled. Noted the clue for #8. Our thanks to Captain_Carnage.
We made the trip to the Silt Jetties to grab as many of these caches as we could, this being one of them. I can't believe how early the sun is setting today, we best get a move on with our task.
Thanks Captain_Carnage for this placement.

Quick find with tassie expat while exploring this great area. Spider sitting on cache! I wanted to hit it with the tree! Tftc
A quick find. Just as frmen1 read out loud re the spiders, I picked the container up to find a large cache guardian on duty. Quickly dealt with that (no arachnids were hurt, just shooed away). TFTC Now back to find the multi and mystery ones.
Having a great holiday in Paynesville ... a bit of a windy grey day meant no boating for us and a drive instead, with some GC thrown in! A great drive out to the end made more spectacular by an approaching storm. Made a quick find while the coast was clear. Thanks for inspiring us to visit this area! TFTC
Found the first of the co-ords to find the cache. Very exciting times with mum (leanneemmah) and phil
Spider central, beautiful little spot but had to make Geobf grab the cache as I was a little scared. Tftc
Getting the Geokids out off the house & off screens to do a little caching. Oldest clocked up some more hours on his Ls on the gravel road.

Today was the third time of our Xmas holidays that we have made the drive down from Melbourne to Gippsland.
Today the plan was to drive down as far as Bairnsdale so that we could tick of a few more LGAs for a challenge (to get all of the local government areas in Victoria).
But it was raining the whole way down virtually! We looked at the radar and figured that after lunch it would fine up and we could get some caching done! By the time we got here the rain was gone and the smiles were out!
We were on this narrow strip of land to do the Silt Jetties Earthcache. So we thought while we were here we would grab a few trads on offer. This was the second of these that we did - and again we noted it had a clue in it so we photographed it in case we would need it. Turns out it came in handy.
thanks for the cache Captain_Carnage. We can't believe how thin this Jetty is and that there is actually a few houses on it! Will they still be here in twenty years with climate change? We hope so.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy
Thanks for the cache.

While staying with friends at Lucknow we took the chance to explore the environs of Bairnsdale and grabbing a few Geocaches.

Today we had the idea to find the MR Series. In addition to see the longes delta of the world. We found all caches and say thank you!
Out fishing with hubby and suddenly remembered there was a cache only 100 metres away. Left the rod in and found it. Went back to check the rod and alas no fish, however, a swim was in order. TFTC
Found without any problem and coordinates noted for the final GZ. Many thanks Captain_Carnage for placing this series. Greynomads - Bill and Diana TFTC TNLN SL
Joint {*FTF*} with gwd.aussie. Beautiful area. Thank you for the cache Captain_Carnage
After the having a first to find on the last cache, we hope someone else had not start here first.
We were lucky to get two first to finds today.
Now with the extra coords from both of them.
We are going to try our luck at the final.
