Replaced 3 Times Now...The local kids keep stealing this cache. Time to archive and hide it in a harder spot to find
had a quick look but couldn’t find, but from previous logs we believe it may be gone
Stopped by here with Gliss! On the way back
From a multi with joolay and Kittykatch. A cool obvious but hidden cache!!! TFTC

#5288 Out with my usual geo-partner CBRChic. Today was our first designated "Mystery at the Museum" work-day and it was quite a successful one. The forecast was not great with showers after 3pm that did not eventuate, but it certainly turned cold with a bitter breeze.
A quick stop to grab this one.
Thanks DSD

Being in the area today with ilook4geo we decided to pick up this cache, just hoping that Nellie wasn't around to protect her tree. No problem finding the container, two more names being added to the log before all was put back as found and we headed off again to continue the hunt. Thank you to DARKSIDEDAN for this cache placement.
#7091. I flew over to Australia on Sunday and spent several days in Sydney. Now I have driven over to the ACT (the challenge capital down under). I love challenge caches and once I saw how many were set up in ACT I booked three nights of accommodation to ensure I had enough time to grab them all. I am then heading to the Wollongong Mega event on Saturday.
Stopped here on the way to last challenge cache of the day. Curse the short winter days. Only managed 41 finds today. This was a nice quick find. Just hoped Nellie had not let fly on the cache recently! Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache. Greetings from New Zealand.

Today was the perfect day for a pleasant walk around Mulligans with Aquilus1... ok, maybe not perfect.... but it didnt rain at least. It was bitterly cold when we started with the wind cutting right through us, but we survived.
I have very few cache finds up this end of town so I was up for the loop, we did well. So many cool caches, some of them really should be 'large' I feel, as the enclosure counts.... not just the log container. Anyway, lots of cool caches up here.
Quick stop as we sere driving past

Out for a little drive around the neighbourhood and found this one. Great hiding spot! TFTC
Day Thirteen in Queanbeyan.
BettyBoo3747 and I listed the UGC series for a lot of to'ing and fro'ing around the Northern Suburbs today (can't they build a straight street in the ACT?). We also collected a few trads for our Mapping.
She must have very short walks if this is the park she walks in!
Washed our hands after handling the cache, just in case!
Thanks, Robmc.

#15797. Day 13 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.
Up and at 'em early again today. When is this going to end? Off to do the UGC Series in the northern suburbs. I think I have seen enough of these streets in these suburbs over several hours. More than enough zigging and zagging (even though we had a list of order to make things easier). It didn't help that our GPSrs don't have a lot of the new streets in these new suburbs so lots of referring to the phone as well today. Canberra will forever be known in my head as Bison City. Quite worn out from bison hunting since we arrived for the Mega.
We visited Nellie's tree on our way around this morning. In fact we were here fairly early at 9.19am. Spied the container easily but yes, the bottom holder is broken so doesn't arrive to hand with the main container. Names added and we continued on.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN.

Out and about for a mini mission on a lovely evening to knock off a few more urban caches muggle free!
Wandered over from the geounit this evening to make the quick and easy find.
Thanks for the hide, DARKSIDEDAN.

Cache is slightly damaged so log doesn’t stay in its container when you pick it up, but the log is still dry and good condition! What a magnificent tree at this roundabout. I’m glad the developers didn’t remove it when building the roads for this estate. It was an easy find but Muggles driving past can be a bit of a worry to watch out for. Finished one side of the log. Other side is still fine to use!
Found while attending the Clear Waters Mega event at Queanbeyan.
Today I teamed up with interstate cachers to focus mostly on two of the groups of the challenge caches. But we also completed some interesting multis, traditionals and unknown caches along the way.
Once again were were fortunate to have some great weather for it.
This one was a quick find.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN. for the cache.

First find on our walk, had to wait for peoples to disappear to retrieve and sign log.... We haven't signed the log, we had a perfectly good working pen, it just didn't wont to write on the shiny type paper that was the log, will need to go back and sign with something that will write on the paper, maybe a permanent marker is needed.
Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
A few days stopping at the EPIC.
After lunch we had to do some shopping so we targetted a couple of caches that we wanted to find.
Thanks for placing this cache DARKSIDEDAN.

Quickly found by my two tadpoles while the dog was going crazy rolling in the dirt, though a very exposed spot. TFTC Darksidedan
Tankengine and I were in the area picking up caches today.
This was my second for the day. TE had alraedy found this one earlier, but as we were driving right by, he let me stop to pick this one up. Nice quick find, then we were off to the next cache. Tftc DARKSIDEDAN!!!

Found by geokid. Our ball point pen struggled on the waterproof paper, only “17” from today’s date is legible.

Found on the way home this morning after fauna survey at Kinlyside. TFTC.
Quite an exposed spot here but no muggles visible in the vicinity helped to make this a quick find. TFTC DSD
#8963 - 18:40; Dropped by to collect this cache while out on an errand this evening. Lived just around the corner when I returned to Canberra 20 years or more back, so I was quite familiar with the area. Managed a quick find and sign, with surprisingly little muggle traffic given the time of day. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Cache 4492 on 29 Jan 2019
TikvaNZ and I planned to head out tonight to grab a few caches , a few more for me than him. We waited until 7pm hoping the temperature would have dropped a bit, but it was still 34 degrees until the sun went down. We managed to find all but one of the caches we looked for. Thanks to TikvaNZ for driving me around, especially since his car needs a bit of care after a tough weekend
This cache: TikvaNZ had already found this one, so he dropped me and did slow circles while I signed the log. Who knew this intersection was Pitt street at 1930 at night! It was tough to find a space to return the cache to its rightful spot.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN. for the cache and the fun!

I knew the roundabout, so this was an easy cache to locate. Got to GZ and located another familiar rock. Found, signed (though my pen and the waterproof paper don't go too well, so it's more of an engravement), and rolled off. Noticed that CO's house is like 50m away... haha Hi DSD!

I felt like everyone in the neighbourhood could see me. Still, no one said anything! TFTC
Found while trying to collect some Uni certificates.
Sounds like a lovely dog and when you have to go you just got to do it.

Quick find with the geokids after a visit to the dinosaur museum. While up this way I ticked a couple more suburbs off my mapping challenge. TFTC!
Working our way home, we couldn't drive past this one. The rain has paused in time for us to get to the cache, however, the heavens opened just as we were signing the log. A quick jog back to the car dripping wet by the time we go back. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
I have gone to many caches via this small round about, and think it is well worth while to have a cache here to make this key little spot.
Thanks.

Was driving through for work and had a good 15 minutes spare so called past to find this on my way. Was going to pull over to park but a meter reader or some such guy was right were I wanted to be, searching in the bushes, so I drove past and around... spotting the cache from the car as I went around.
Wasn't so sure I would be able to stop today with him right there but parked and while deciding he reappeared and walked off! After that it was a quick find and then off to work just up the road. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN.

Well, I am way way behind on my logging... So I decided that being the first day of the new year, it was the ideal time to catch up... Except it's now the second day of the new year...
I can't quite remember how I came to be here, except that I got home from work and it was still light and I needed a walk and that's how I came to be here. That makes sense. This was a nice easy find. I did wonder, given it is Nellie's favourite peeing spot, how many times Nellie has peed on the cache and its surrounds... Best not thought about, really. TFTC

Our dogs would enjoy a walk around this tree no doubt. Tftc. A Nice easy find for Sunday.
8273 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0920. Looks like we will get a bit of a storm this morning. A bit of thunder out towards the west just now. SL Tnx DARKSIDEDAN.
Found Nellies favourite tree but no Nellie in sight today .
Might have found a greener tree in a more private walking area lately.
Nicely hidden.
Many thanks to DSD.

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* with Dino and Loci612 at exactly 8:20pm!
Coming from a joined FTF at the Old Canberra Inn, Loci612 was already off and running to the next cache close to his place, while we tried to load it to see where exactly we had to go and then we were off and racing too.
Got there just in the nick of time when ALL 7 and Loci612 were just signing the log with the CO at hand. We had a nice chat but I had already worn Wilma's and Pebble's patience thin with these little side trips so had to say goodbye soon after Schlickmic arrive.
Thanks for the Cache Darksidedan. Looking forward to the next one in the area.

Wooohooo *FTF* with ALL7, Flinstone's and Dino!
Whilst searching for the FTF at the Old Canberra Inn in Lyneham, we saw this cache come out! Initially I kicked myself given it was only about a 5 minute drive from home, but then we found the cache we were searching for sooner than I had expected too thanks to Flinstone's keen eye, so we were off pretty quickly!
Got all the way back here in reasonable time to find the CO himself and ALL7 standing near GZ. I thought I had missed the find given the owner was there, but he hadn't given away the location yet and the cache was actually slightly off the coords which he fixed on the spot.
Wasn't too sure if Flinstone's were coming for this one or not, but once we had the CIH and I started signing the log they pulled up so added them into it given I left the last one a bit quicker than they did!
Thanks for the cache DSD! Good fun, schlickmic rocked up about 5 minutes later whilst we were all standing in a very strange spot having a chat, so he found the cache on our watch, before we chatted a little more and parted ways.

Fun fun fun! So many new cache notifications!
Sitting at home trying to figure out what to get for the geocaching Secret Santa event this Saturday when all the notifications of new caches came in. I was ready to go but my son really wanted me to watch the ending of Junior Eurovision with him. Okay, we're at the end, this won't take long I thought. Oh no, talk about dragging it out! As soon as Poland was announced as the winner, I was out the door.
I arrived at gz to see an assembled throng of geocachers. Always nice to join in an impromptu social gathering. Although I forgot to ask DSD why in the world he thought it appropriate to place a cache where this canine leaves its calling card
