Oh my! I thought. Not one of these impossible micros on a metal object. First place we looked. There it was. Tftc
Whatever hair was left on top of my head is gone after looking for this cache in such a public place. No cigar
Found with MoSSau whilst on tour with Poppys Legacy Log roll full as per previous logsTftc
Found with Lonely RA, log was full and Lonely RA has sent owner a message thanks for cache
2nd attempt at this one. 1st attempt was a year or 2 ago. Took some time to find this little suckerLog book (scroll) is full.TFTC SL
Sigh too many muggles. Had a brief look and did a bit of shoelace tying but way too many people about. Who would have thought it would be so busy on a Tuesday...
That was a challenge!! Had to read back through the logs to see (a) what we were looking for, and (b) a general position on this war prize.TFTC
Down this way for and AdLab. Our first cannon find... why are they always in high traffic areas . Log is chocca's so signed where we could.
Found after getting down and dirtyLiz bumped her head .Now to visit the bakeryTftc
Found after bumping my head. Cache log needs replacing. Caching with The X-Trailers.Went and visited the local bakery after replacing the cache. TFTC
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 6 - Morgan to Jamestown via Burra and Hallett. After a fun day around Morgan yesterday, it was time to move on. A very cold night last night. I did a few roadside caches along the way, but I spent most of my caching day around Burra. I have done quite a bit of caching in Burra before, but it was great to see a wonderful collection of caches to be attempted today. I even managed two sets of Labs, including a good walk around the mine site. As I headed over to Jamestown, there were a few caches that drew attention to the huge wind farms on all of these ridge lines. My last cache ended up pretty much being where I stopped to camp for the night. Into town for dinner tonight. As usual, the sight of this brought a feeling of dread. Then I started looking and was not sure what to expect. I was on my second pass when my fingers felt this evil item. Nano rant over. ...Thanks for the cache froghoppin46458.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & October 2019 Take a Walk A#408**Albida**
Failed to find this cache initially, but came back a few days later and was successful. Thanks for the find!
Here for Easter Weekend and spent a good 2 hours on and off looking. Found it where Id looked before, painfully obvious. Log full but had lots of fun!TFTC
Yes, we did it. A nano on a cannon with a brand new log book (thanks for the maintenance). We initially looked at the more complicated end, but success was further away and well hidden.
A quick check, it's still there, going it's under but in top half, tucked in nano
A very busy intersection with lots of muggles. Trying to be stealthy while looking was hard going. Wasn't able to find it without drawing too much attention to myself.
Cache now replaced, the nano factory is back in production, cheers good hunting
Called in to check up on this one, unfortunately it has gone and we need to source a replacement for our next visit
Unfortunately couldn't find this bad boy today! Only had about 10 minutes between stops on the way to Flinders Until next time
Looked for a while in the sun. Found where we think it was, but area was stuffed with candy wrappers. Removed them, but no geocache. Has someone removed it?
Well this was a nemesis for 3 days! Naughtybunny and I were on a road trip to Burra and this was the first cache in Burra itself. No luck. We came again at night thinking that torches would help. No luck. We came again the next day. No luck. We came again after dinner. No luck. Lucky the place we were staying at was within walking distance. The final day arrived and we were about to head out home. One more try. We looked and in a short time we had it. The crazy thing was it was quite exposed and we both knew we had looked here. Hmmm... Anyways - we were happy to have found it and cross this one off the list. Canons with canons should be banned! TNLN. Cheers.
This bloody thing! We looked in daylight. We looked by torchlight. We looked again in daylight. We looked again by torchlight. We lay on our backs. We knelt, bent over, peered, crawled... We looked again in daylight, and Chookster spotted it in such an obvious place that both of us had searched numerous times. We wondered if another cacher had found it that day and placed it back in a different spot. But no one else has logged it, so unless a local's playing silly buggers, we somehow missed the bleeding obvious! We're baffled. But it's good to have a smilie for this one!TFTC froghoppin. I think.
Found it!! Was about to start rolling around on the ground but luckily I found it before then. Paper log is full.
Bloody nanos, the street was full of people, but know one took any notice of us rolling around under the canon finally found and full log signed tftc
Quick find. (Only because it was the first place I happened to put my hand). Log is full.
Love this little town. Stopped for a coffee on way back from the S.A masters game Dragonboating .

Looked for ages like for even I don’t think it’s there or I’ve missed it somewhere.
Found after a relatively short time. It helps to have done a few of these before. TFTC.
Nice work. AND I hate nano's on any military stuff. Not just cannons. Lol.

What a lovely day to be caching in this area. Found with a lot of perserverance. Found with Symonds 6. Signed log as GuS6. TFTC.
Perseverance paid off and I finally found the little blighter in it's hiding spot. A little smaller than I expected (actually it was a lot smaller than I expected) but tactile probing finally exposed its location.
Most satisfying.
That for the cache, froghoppin.
Love your work.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Another bitterly cold, wet day today and the sky is still touching the ground, a perfect day to Geocache.
Only half of the container was there, so we have replaced the container container holding the original log.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Great find, took a while to find. Felt so dumb. The cache has no lid and probably needs a new log book. TFTC
Found with the jams crew on our way to Clare for the JLWE. Lid is missing. TFTC
A short stop in Burra on the way North to Terrowie. Had to have a go at this one. Two of us searched in many spots but came up empty handed.
We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
I usually dn't have a lot of luck on these, the chances of finding it are about 50/50 for me. I managed to fee in the right spot for this one. The lid is missing however.
This was find number 8 for the day.

Late log, just realised I'd missed logging. Found on our way over to Morgan to compete in the 2022 True Grit event. The Friday drive over is a casual one, enjoying lunch in Burra as our bodies are still nimble and full of energy. Found this one with a heap of muggle team mates running decoy, taking photos and running hands everywhere. It's a close thing for me - a BBB cache or a cannon cache - hard to say which is worse. TFTC
Travelling from Robertstown to Murray Town, we stopped at Burra for lunch. I had a reasonable search, but could not find this cache.
Got down and dirty here but couldn't find. On our way back to Perth with row boats from the Nationals in Nagambie, Vic.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
First day of a week in Burra and decided to get Pizza for tea. Ordered the pizza and went for a wander to the cannon. What was I thinking? Nano on a cannon? Challenge accepted. Circled a couple of times looking at the construction. Saw a good possibility and got under and found a nano with the lid missing. Extracted the log, signed and then replaced. Put the cache back as found. Now back to get the pizza and back to the accommodation for a yummy dinner.

In the spot that seemed logical we only found a discarded AA battery so the kids are worried that someone has interfered with the cache.
Full time nomads since 2014. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Spending a few days in Kapunda before heading to York Peninsula. We nearly got washed away yesterday in the yukky weather but today has far more promise so we set off to explore Burra. Even with a stop at the Burra Butcher. Had some hiccup with a bad load of caches into the GPSr but thankfully had all available on the phone.
Love the history that is shared with us here through Geocaching yet again.

If only these guns could talk and tell us the history.
It's great to be able to travel and see so many quaint little country towns.
As we meander down towards GeoVenture 2020 (in 2021), Millicent, we stopped to put a smiley here.
It's wonderful to explore SA through the eyes of a Geocacher,
especially when it takes us to such interesting places.
We found your cache and with signing duties done and dusted,
we replace the cache as found.
Thanks for sharing this interesting location.

Found by a muggle friend I’ve met today.
Heading to Burra Burra, the long way, for the weekend, grabbing a few caches and spending some time with friends.
