Found with LittleBoss2 and Geo the puppy as we enjoy the last weekend of Autumn in and around St Arnaud. This is a great series with a huge variety of challenges. The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave me a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we made our through North Western Victoria to St Arnaud where we unhitched the van to make it easier to complete this challenge series. A nice variety of achievable challenges, the hides were all easy to find especially with the hints provided. We enjoyed our time driving these roads as we went from cache to cache and will check if we qualify when we next get the chance.Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.

We were very disappointed to not be able to attend theSt Arnaud mega, and have looked forward to visiting since then.Fast forward a few years and here we are for a few days, enjoying the sunshine and the end of the summer. Log signed 9/1/2022. Call it a New Years Eve resolution or just a personal commitment to myself. Call it what ever you want, but I want to make the effort to revisit Challenge caches that I either didnt qualify for at the time of signing the log, or simply didnt check because I was just more interested in finding caches at the time. It seems following up can often be forgotten, so Im trying to recheck between 1 & 7 per week, spare time permitting. I really liked St Arnaud. Great caravan park as well as lots of interesting caches.Soooo many challenges, I was a little worried that the dirt roads would be impassable due to the rains. I was originally coming to St Arnaud first on the 26th, but the weather delayed my departure a day and I went the other way around, with Melbourne first & St Arnaud after. It seems about a quarter of my list of challenges to do got archived before I got here, but that still left a lot to do. Writing notes for now, will check qualifications for all of them later-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Found on a quick trip around Victoria to mop up all of the counties I was missing. Had my new swag so stayed in caravan parks so I could sleep while the car charged. Was at almost 100% charge every morning, and the nights camping cost about the same as a full charge at a supercharger anyway.

After competing in the Australasian Rogaine Champs near Avoca over the weekend, I spent this morning collecting all of these challenges that I qualified for, before heading back to Canberra. All caches easily found. TFTC.

We decided to drive up the western side of the Pyrenees to get to St Arnaud and pick as many caches up on the way as we could before coming back to Avoca on the Eastern side of the Pyrenees. After having lunch and walking the geodogs, we headed North to pick up some challenge cache we have qualified for. This was the tenth. Thank you for this cache, sharkiefan.

Found and log signed. I have had my eye on these challenges ever since I was first introduced to challenge caching . We decided to head out to St Arnaud this weekend, following the weather as everywhere else was expecting rain. Good old St Arnaud didn't let us down; the weather was glorious and there was green grass abound .
We left Tatura at 0500hrs as we had all these challenges on our list, plus some choice mixed caches for 'ron. We steamed through these quicker than expected, so there were smiles all round .
Thank you Sharkiefan for providing these challenges. Now all I have to do is work out which one's I qualify for, and what I have to do to qualify for the one's I don't .

The weather was perfect even though storms and rain had been predicted for the time we were here. It rained overnight and the dirt roads were a bit slippery in places but my little car managed to take us everywhere we wanted to go.
We have had a lovely time in St Arnaud and will hopefully be back to log a few more finds in the future.
I didn't think I would qualify for so many of this challenge series but was happily surprised that I do.

We signed this log on the 4th November, the day after an extreme flooding event in the area. Amazingly the sun was out today and the roads were far better than expected. This was the final narrow gravel road that we were most concerned about. Our vehicle is far from an off road one, a small motorhome weighing 4 tonnes with only front wheel drive. We continued slowly and cautiously, half expecting to possibly reverse back to firmer ground if needed.
It's interesting how when geocaching we sometimes take risks that maybe other times we wouldn't . I often can't believe the long grass I walk through for a cache when I am so scared of snakes. Today's driving was feeling a bit like that.
Once home and we checked our stats, it seems that we qualify for another of these great hides.

K9team[:X] and Ghihash were going to St Arnaud and I got to tag along too[^]
A 4 day trip during which I found 94 geocaches, had 1 DNF which was later remedied with the CO's approval[^] and I only had to 'write note' on 1 of the 50 challenge caches that were found
We camped in the caravan park[^] the first two nights and then Rex and I camped up the top of a hill the 3rd night[|)][^][|)] after our friends had left for home Although that was fun trying to direct the RACV to the Corolla the following morning, when the less than a year old RAA supplied battery wouldn't start the Corolla!
There was rain, there was cold, there was lots of laughs and the best weekend I've had away for a long time![:X][^][:X]

Rex and I started our morning with a jump start from the RACV[^][:X]
Then it was a very quick 'turn off the motor and fill up with fuel at the servo'[xx(] before the day's caching commenced[^][^]
From that point on, the poor Corolla[:X][xx(][:X] did not get turned off again until we reached Shepparton[^][^]
We found 64 caches, between the clever AI series and the challenge series[^] and there was only 1 challenge that I did not qualify for
First cache found at 11.28am and the last cache found at 5.10pm[^] and all on a drizzly grey day where everything was soaking wet that was perfect caching weather

Hi there TeamStArnaud.

We found your cache **"Dangers in Caching Challenge"** today. (This makes our find count 24496).

Today we headed out from St Arnaud so we could attempt the Challenge series, plus any others we came across on our travels. We started at "The Northern Grampians Shire Challenge" & from there we proceeded to find caches until we had logged all the caches we qualify for. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]

We found 52 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** The containers and log books were all in good shape.

A school holiday adventure as Team Clarmensma (myself, GemmaSistema, Neisha07, Boo09, Ad & Luke), we decided to hit St Arnaud today.
Our afternoon focus was this series. TFTC

School holidays are upon us so TeamClarmensma (myself and my kids AdamSistema & LukeSistema, and becca85 and her kids neisha07 & boo09) reformed for some St Arnaud fun. We didn’t have time to cache at the Mega so thought a day trip was in order. After lunch we decided to tackle the challenges. Another one I qualify for easily. Proof attached.

Our second full day of caching around St Arnaud. We are planning to finish the StARS and visit the challenge caches, picking up a few bonus hides along the way. Thank you Team StArnaud for all the well-thought out puzzles and the tour around the countryside, an amazing effort that we could not appreciate sooner.

This cache gets a big favourite. While doing the series, at the next cache I came across another cacher who was all excited about having seen a brown snake at this cache and even had photos. I love that one of our beautiful most dangerous was at the dangerous cache challenge.

My second day of a three day road trip through Western Victoria to grab a few caches. After knocking off the Musical Gully wherigo series I was on my way from Beaufort to Mildura with a few specific targets in mind. When I visited St Arnaud for the mega recently I didn't get to finish off all the challenge caches to I rattled though the remaining 16 (of which I qualified for 14) today.
