Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!

We soon had another good cache located.

We are on a ten day road trip to Taranaki, The Forgotten Highway, Taumaranui, Ohakune and back home to Palmy. Along the way will be sightseeing, short mountain walks, museum visits, a rail cart journey and, of course, geocaching. Day 2 was making our way to Stratford.
This cache was a quick and straightforward find. There were no problems here - can’t say the same about Trump!! TFTC

On a road trip and grabbing caches as we go.
Quick find here. Thanks for the placement Rick-a-mortis.

We really wondered what we were going to see here, and weren't disappointed. Thanks Rick-a-mortis!
Teamed up with Cats&Dragons, for an overnight mission down the West Coast focusing in and around Hawera. It's been awhile since we've done a trip like this and it was great to be out finding caches again. We left Hamilton at 7pm Friday night and returned midnight Saturday, with only a few hours of sleep needed we managed 116 finds for the trip. A big thanks to all the cache owners for their placements.
Thanks for the hide,
Thanks for the hide,
A quick easy find as the traffic roars past. We'll refrain from comment on said president. TFTC
Bummer its still drizzling. A quick snag and tag here. Cheers.
Day 5- Wednesday 18 December. Hawera district again including Eltham and Manaia.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Trumping this cache is easy. Any cache in a place that is not raining would qualify! BTW - the signboard reminds me of the French flag. Not enough stars to be USA.
Day five of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is Hawera to Eltham - oh yes, it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

After not being able to locate a nearby puzzle cache, I quickly made my way here in order to fill a dot day. Crouched in the long grass, I was able to do my "business" and quickly return the cache to its hiding spot, I really dislike caches that are so public but this is the closest unfound cache to me at the moment
A quick stop to grab this one before turning around and heading to Normanby for a few more caches. Cars do travel down this road very fast so I was grateful for the generous parking area so I was well off the busy road.

A quick find on a dot day, nice & dry this end of Taranaki still windy though! TFTC
I stayed in the car for this one as it was too windy and I might of got blown onto the highway. But trayc.g brought the cache back to the car for me to have a look it. No room for my TB today. TFTC
Didn't find this one today had a good look and nothing maybe next time I'll find it
Nice spot and safe parking - bonus!
Up here for an awesome weekend jaunt with Team Gators, TheWanglers and Karma Reprint to do a loop of the mountain in 48 hours grabbing as many caches as we could while having a good laugh. Logs signed as some derivative of (KT)^2
Cheers Rick-a-mortis for the cache

A planned geocaching trip to the USA was shelved (but is all go for this time next year!) so we came up with a weekends Plan B. Taranaki with TheWanglers, KarmaReprint and KiwiMoose - logs signed (TK)^2 or a variation of. A really fun trip with the forecast rain and thunder seemingly always in the distance but never hindering us. A really fun weekend.
Arrived in New Plymouth; grabbed the rental and hit the road running - aiming for Hawera....
Woohoo - finished finding the Smile series and now time to boost it for Hawera and our accommodation....passing by with good parking on offer rude not to stop. Cheers!

A plan was hatched for a few of us to head to America for a Mad Mission. With life getting a bit crazy a downsized trip was organised as I had sorted childcare for the cachelets. The big America trip is now set for next year. We asked a member of our crew if we could go to Nelson, Dunedin, Auckland, Wellington, Hastings the answer all came back "I don't have many to find there". We left it to that member to suggest an area. He came up with New Plymouth and a loop around the mountain. That's a go from the rest of us. We sorted puzzles, gpxs, motels and a car and hit the ground running. The forecast was doom, gloom, rain, hail and lightning. Oh well, sounds exciting. We had very little of any of the weather that affected our caching and found we had all overpacked (thank God!).
Day 1: We grabbed the car and started caching at 2pm and made it to Hawera after 8pm settled into our accommodation and had a bit to eat and hit the town before calling it quits for the day.
Heading to our destination for the night. Quick find.
Thanks for the cache Rick-a-mortis.

Day one, New Plymouth airport to Hawera.
A long weekend cache raid to Taranaki. The weather didn't stop us doing anything, and we had fun times. Logs were signed with a combination of KT and 2 depending one which of did the signing. Thanks Kiwi Moose, Team Gaters and TheWanglers for a choice time.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Two rather late logs.. I was studying the caches before going to New plymouth in a week or so time and discovered two caches that i had found but had not logged. I have often seen this particular spot with the small shed etc and it was a quick stop and retrieve sign and log
Thank you for this cache.
Thank you for this cache.
Despite the young Rattll's having grown up and left home, Mr Rattll was taking Mrs Rattll on a mother's Day geo-caching trip to celebrate the day.
We decided to head to Hawera as quite a few newer caches have popped up since our last visit. a few newer caches have popped up since our last visit.
We've noted this sign every time we've passed. Oh so true!
We left an alphabet stone - the letter B and dropped off a TB
Thanks for putting a cache here Rick-a-mortis

Out for a drive with the family grabbing some caches. Parked in front of a speed camera Van and ran back to the cache...soon found and signed. Tftc
Had to be a little stealthy this morning as there was alot of traffic with people heading to work. Luckily was a quick find. TFTC. Late log sorry.
Loved this, got to agree with it! Plus nice sheep, cows and alpaca.

Finally had a good opportunity to stop and find this cache. Nice straightforward find, clean and dry. Always notice the flag and sign as we whizz past - comments have got more pointed lately! TFTC
I'm back in Taranaki for the first work meeting of the year. That was last night and I'm up and about early today, so what is there to do but to grab a cache or two on the trip back to Palmerston North.
I noticed this one when I was planning which caches to target which had been published since my last 2018 trip to Taranaki. I couldn't spare the time on the trip over, but we are a little more relaxed on the way back so I can make a stop or two - and I can't leave a little green dot in the sea of Hawera smilies for long! A quick find here and I'm back in the car to keep going. TFTC

We keep driving past this saying to ourselves "there's a cache there" so today was the day to do something about it.
Today's Trump news was about a European betting agency that had lost money because they underestimated the number of lies Trump could tell during an eight minute speech.
Thanks for the cache.

Group of four Taranaki geocachers heading to Rattll’s Xmas BBQ grabbing a few caches on the way home.
In the future I suspect not only Americans but the rest of the World may rue the date November 8th 2016.
That aside this location and cache is a timely reminder of the current political climate. TFTC

The four of us can’t resist a new cache so on the ride home from Rattll Xmas BBQ we all got it TFTC that’s just to make caching great again
Another reason to stop and have a better look at the shed. What's that about shutting the door after the horse has bolted? We have to look after the human race. Tftc
Deleted placeholder and replaced with this log: A long sunny day, driving down from New Plymouth to the most excellent Rattll Xmas BBQ 2018, a very good time was had by all with a lot of fun. This cache was found one the day by Tara Ted and Blenheim Bear with some assistance from Juty Bug and Phronimos. Thanks for the cache.
Was on my way North to New Plymouth for work and had to stop in Hawera to see a client, after seeing the client it was time to start looking at continuing on my way. I checked the time and noted that I was running a bit early so decided that it was a great time to check my GPSr and I soon noticed that there was a couple of new caches that have being placed here since I was here last.
After finding GC80YDY - Dem bones Dem bones, this was the next cache that I had on my radar that I wanted to find today as I was making my way north. The drive to GZ didnt take too long and I was soon at GZ before I realised.
Arriving near GZ, I managed to find a safe parking spot not too far from GZ, actually it was only about 10 metres away, but the GPSr was pointing me across to the other side of the road. I thought that this was a bit strange so decided to trust my caching intuition and decided to check the obvious spot, I soon spotted something and upon a closer look I soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks Rick-a-mortis for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13963). Definitely not a fan of Donald Trump, but he isn't affecting anything that I do, so thats fine.
Now to get back into the into the traffic to my appointment, the traffic really moves now that this new bypass has being opened, has made a big difference to this spot, and for the better.

I left home early this morning as I was invited to a birthday party up this way, actually about a stones throw from this cache and as I had done a couple of caches on my way up I had noticed this one looked to be in a place That looked like it was a new one and on closer inspection I was right so I thought I wonder if I would be lucky enough.
So i thought I would give it a crack so headed this way and as I was getting closer there was a car signaling to pull over , my heart sank I would be too late but as a got closer I thought I know that person it was the person I had driven up for (the birthday boy).
He said to me,He thought it was me and asked if I would like to join him on the (FTF) Isaid to him that it was his birthday that he should claim the ftf he said we could share it.
So thanks for the placement and the smiley and of course the ftf
And the sign say it all
