Find # 16085Down in Melton to hit up some caches and Adventure Labs. But main reason was to go motorbike helmet shopping. After checking out a couple of bike shops in Melton, I headed around town grabbing ad labs. But then decided to head to Keilor to check out a few more bike shops... With shopping done I headed back to my original plan, "cache around Melton", hitting up The Toolern Vale Triangle and the Merry Bush Christmas trails and what ever other caches came up on the GPS. All caches found had no issues. It was great to be on some back tracks and make finds in an area I've had my eye on for some time now.TFTC Benjamin Screamer

Drove up to Ballarat for a Double Significant Morning tea, some AdLabs, and a few Xmas caches on the way home. A lovely day to be out caching..I just noticed this little run of caches when the TDOC23 cache was put out. Today I made a clean sweep of them, a nice Xmas present.Another year, another Xmas. Spotted this one before I got out of the car, rehid it a bit better. Thanks, Robmc.

We set off for a half day of TDOC23 caches over west which ended up being a full day of including other caches and we didn't get home till 7pm lol As we were heading this way we decided to look up to see what COTY22 nominees were in the area as well. We saw this series was on the way to the TDOC23 cache so we stobbed to grab these too.
Oh I forgot to mention on the last log that my maiden name is Hogg, so these may be long distant ancestors of mine!!!!! Great idea for a series which you can add to each year, very cool

I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.

Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.

Thanks for the cache Benjamin Screamer

03-Jun-23
had run out of time on my last trip in the area and decided to return today to complete this series. With Cachemas on the way it was the perfect time to get into the spirit.

The road was a little busier than expected, but I suspect there was a gathering occurring at a nearby property.

I found this one on another stop along this road. The cache and log were dry despite there being a small hole in the bottom of the container. Might be worth a quick check on the next visit through.

Thanks Benjamin Screamer for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We just got back from overseas yesterday and the countries visited had hardly any caches, so we are well behind in this month's wheel of challenge. So, a huge day of caching: ad labs, trads and of course hunting out those with lots of favourite points. Easy find, thanks.

07-May-23
I was only just made aware of this series so it was great to be in the area and able to find them all . . . . so far. It is a rather wet day but we managed to find everything without getting wet. It is a really lovely area that you have brought us to. Thanks for showing us this lovely are with these caches.

07-May-23
Headed out west with Geoturtle37 to attend a cito and to do a bit of scooter caching. The day started with black clouds and heavy rain en route, but soon turned into sunshine, albeit a tad chilly.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Benjamin Screamer

Out and about with Echidna44, This series has me thinking about Xmases past. Our daughter was in Germany spending Xmas with her partner's family, so we spent Xmas with my brother and his family. This was another quick and easy find along this lovely dirt road.

Out with Boabtree, we had a lovely day caching in the Toolern Vale area.
This was the first Christmas without our son, so it was a sad Christmas for us.
Thanks Benjamin Screamer.

A quick find of another lovely cache, nice.

The Trip

I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.

I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.

Champagne caching!

*Found on the 28 Dec 2022 @ 8:57 am.*
*Cache find # 13880.*

I had headed to Melton today to attend the Intervening Days (Revisited) XIV event but with a bit of time up my sleeve, I decided to go a little bit further North to find a few other caches in the area, this being one of them.

**Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing this cache.**

28-Dec-22
Find #2944 for me. Found at 12:27 pm with my dog Bonnie after attending the Intervening Days event in Melton. For some reason, my computer isn't recognizing my GPS when I plug it in, so I wasn't able to load these caches onto my handheld Magellan. I could have used my phone instead I suppose, but it turned out having the caches loaded onto my car navigator was enough as I quickly found this and the other caches in the most logical place. Thanks for the series and the cache Benjamin Screamer!

Thanks for the series and a quick find today. Shade made it so much easier! Loving all of the butterfly’s!

Decided to take a Christmas trip through the years along this long dirt road. Judging by the length of it, you've got another 20 + on it. I look forward to starting a tradition of returning every christmas to nab the next iteration.
I'm continuing to enjoy all the hiding spots you seem to find and I'm honestly blessed to have these long arms of mine.
6 quick park and grabs for all the years but I found myself chilling out at times admiring how beautiful this part of greater Melton is. Would love myself to have a property out here one day.
Thanks BenjaminScreamer.

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.
This area had seen a lot of rain, all the grass was wet and some large areas of flooding.
Good little series and containers.

SL *tm/ww NZ*
*Thank you for helping to show us around different areas and adding to our enjoyment*

In Melbourne to attend the Mega at Whittlesea with tmann421.
Enjoyed the short trip around locating a few caches before heading to the event
Log signed tm/ww NZ
Thanks to the cache owners for the efforts with the hides

Quick Easy find. The cache container has a small hole in its base so there was water inside, the log book however is nice and dry. There was a very interesting strangled tree nearby from having fencing wire wrapped around it. I didn’t check to see if it was still alive but surely it will become ring barked if not already TFTC

Out and about with AusFox, Sims_Family and Neville_Devil on this beautiful Wednesday morning.

We decided to hit up this area as I haven't collected any caches in this series so it was good to finally get to them. Cache was found, logged and returned where we found it.

Thanks for getting me out and about Smile
