Unique special beach entrance

We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best.We have been using geocaching to guide us around and three days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs.All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet.SL TFTC

SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! This was our last stop of the day. What an incredible beach! I have never walked through a rock tunnel to access a beach before. This one gets a favorite point from me! TFTF!

Mrs. Amazing and I spent two days on Kangaroo Island as part of a semi-private tour. We grabbed some geocaches while there. This one definitely deserves a favorite point. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!

Wow! I loved exploring this area. I took lots of photos and even a video of the walk. This is a stunning area that we will definitely come back to. Almost forgot to do the necessary caching whilst we were here. It was only when we got back in the car and looked at where to go next, that we remembered. Oops. Thanks for bringing us to this favourite location.

Today, Geoturtle37 and I made a lightning fast trip around KI as there are no ferry trips for days due to the long weekend. This was a location that we both said we will have to come back to on our return trip to KI. Such a fabulous place with so much to see. Thanks for placing the cache and bringing us here.

Thanks for the earthcache. It helped us locate this beach we were looking for.

Day #4 Leaping Forward AdventuresI had made it to Cape Jervis overnight and met up with Posums for our Kangaroo Island adventure. An early morning ferry across today and the adventures begin. We made our way further north now to eventually get back to our accomodation for the evening. Posums driving hadnt been too bad, except for him insisting he was driving a bus and accidentally using all the bus entry zones.A rather different location here and we made our way through the tunnel to a lovely beach on the other side. Thanks Freddo for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Are you ready to nominate in the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards? Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent then, Wellington and Cape Jervis last night its now time for more LGAs and head over to Kangaroo Island for a couple of days.Kangaroo Island has been on my bucket list for years and so after picking up Roaming Howie this morning from his accommodation he has to squeeze into the Geowagon for a couple of days and put up with my driving. So we have arrived on to the Island and our Geocaching expedition has begun and lets see how much we can explore in a day and a half. After visiting the Flinders Chase NP in the South West corner of the island we are making our way along the northern section. We called in here and went for another walk.A very different way of accessing the nice beach compared to the rocky beach on this side.We soon found the tunnel and made our observations.Answers have been sent to the CO.Thanks Freddo TFTC.

Came here on a wet and slightly windy day. Despite the conditions, its still an amazing place. Worth the visit on any day.

Have visited before 4 years ago on a stellar sunny day and did some bodyboarding with the kids. Will return again.

Thanks for another lesson in erosion. Answers sent to CO.

We had wanted to come here the day before but a bush fire or whatever had cancelled our plan. So we tried the next day after Seal Bay and Little Sahara. The entrance to the beach is really amazing! And then - when leaving Stokes Bay- we saw finally our first kangaroo alive!!!
Thank you for showing us this beautiful place.

Goldy and Jimmy are off to Kangaroo Island to see some sights and pick up some caches along the way.

I enjoyed a variety of different caches, seeing cool spots and catching up with GooseyC for dinner on Thusday night.

All caches stamped with joint "Jimmy and Goldy" stamp.

My highlight was the Vivonne Bay Rock Pool, Jimmy's was seeing the seals at Admiral's Arch.

Answers gathered and sent.

Thanks Freddo for this EarthCache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2477 on the 10th of February 2023.

The tide was in and the ends of the tunnel were underwater today when we visited. It made for fun watching some of the well dressed tourists try to find non-existent alternative routes that didn't entail them getting wet feet.

Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come baack into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.

Yep you certainly climbed into the belly for this one.

Stokes Bay is a must-see location for KI - love the winding track between the boulders that leads to a beautiful beach with a rockpool and lovely clean surf rolling in.
We made the observations and then as we went to exit the tunnel into the beach the tide was high, so we crawled under the boulders and exited at a nearby hole. Walked along the beach to grab a few more caches.
Answers submitted to the CO - a truly lovely part of KI!

Found. Wow!! Wow....Wow....Wow!!!!!!This was definitely worth coming to Stokes Bay. Caching friends had told me that this was a must see and I can see why.....what an amazing place to visit. I left Col back at the car with the uhf handheld radio as I went off with my radio to discover the magic I was told to go and discover. By having the radios I could keep him informed how I was going on a T4 trad after doing this and another earthcache and if I got into trouble.....as it happened it was the easiest T4 I have done. As I went through to the beach I was surprised to find as many people as I did on the beach enjoying walks, excerises like planking, fishing and rock exploration. I discovered a cave in the cliff I was glad I had communication with Col so he knew I was ok....... I was taking in the beauty of the bay for over an hour..... the time flew and I had no idea I had taken that long. After I returned we enjoyed a lovely meal at the cafe next to parking area. Thanks so much for the earthcache, this bay was my favourite place on the island and have shared my experience with all my family and friends. Thanks Prof Freddo and fav point for you.

This was a really fun location! We managed to find the path and followed it through the amazing rock passage out to Stokes Bay. A beautiful place with the crystal clear rock pool, white sands, and stunning rocks at each end. We stopped along the way to gather our answers and hope they're ok! TFTC

Found It!
What an amazing little spot! But surprisingly busy here today, couldn't stand around too long in the tunnel or I'd create a bit of a traffic jam. Still a very impressive natural feature, and not a bad beach on the other side either!

Fond memories of coming here in the late 1960s as a kid and for our 1984 Honeymoon ??, back this time with P's parents in their 80s and sister's family.
It was very quiet when we arrived but many families came through the tunnel as we were trying to get out ??

We were at Stokes Bay on our first day of our stay on KI. And as it is only a 20-minute-drive from our holiday home, we decided to spend some more time at this marvellous beach, not without trying to solve the two EarthCaches nearby.

I am not very good in estimating though I was glad for the approval of the owner. It is a very special place here, getting through the tunnel and arriving at a beautiful rockpool.

Many thanks for this EarthCache and regards from Switzerland.

Wow what a beautiful spot!!

This is the 4th day of our Kangaroo Island tour. There have been some opportunities to escape from the tour group and grab a cache and plenty of free time for some walks and some caches.
So as we were driving back towards Kingscote via the northern shores of the island I was checking the GPS for caches.
Our bus pulled up for everyone to glimpse Stokes Bay and I noticed this Earthcache was only about 50m away. Ah so near and yet so far. Sad

Then someone called out can we get out for a photo, and .... I asked if I had time to walk through the tunnel. The guide suggested those of us who were physically fit might like like to walk to the beach. Yahoo! Smile

It was an absolutely glorious day, in fact the only warm and non windy day during the week, and everyone was really amazed at the surprise when we exited the tunnel and saw the beach and its beautiful vista. Photo stop - between us we took hundreds!
Sadly no swimmers.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.

We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 88 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.

Camped at Stokes Bay not many caches out this way, this is a beautiful spot.

After dragging my armchair along from the campsite, we sat down with the questions at hand to come up with our answers, which have been sent to the Cache Owner, Professor Freddo.

Beautiful spot here, thanks for the surprise at the end of the tunnel!

Today was our last day on KI so the plan was to potter around the northern part and see a few places we hadn't been to yet... and find some caches of course. First major stop for the day was Stokes Bay... and after that initial thought of "What beach?" we realised where you needed to go... and wow, what a beach!

After a walk to the other end of the beach and back, I collected the answers for this Earth Cache as I crawled back out to the *real world*... I just hope my answers are good enough!

Thanks **Prof Freddo** for creating this Earth Cache... it's always nice to learn a little more about the world we live in.

Answers have been submitted.
