About 12m further than the GPS advised but then kiddo spotted it with the hint. Picture contains spoiler of cache.

Great cache for the kids! Bit of an adventure

In the area with Reschedule knocking out caches we keep driving past and not going for. We all came up with different ways to approach this one, then figured we could probably find a quicker way back to the path. Thankfully that was downhill

Out on a day mission with Kiwi Does Stuff. Avoiding the rain today and headed out the area, a graceful stumble up and down the hill to find this cache. Quick sign and flee. TFTC.

I set out over the kaimais to Tauranga with the intention of visiting the hot pools and doing some geocaching. I got here to discover the hot pools were closed today so geocaching it was. I took the walking path through the park and had to climb up through the bush to find this one only to discover there was a grassed park area i could have walked through to make finding this cache much easier. Found after much hunting. I found one more cache in this park and loved the bridge with the pet memorials. What a lovely idea. The third cache totally eluded me. Then my phone refused to load my maps so i had to trace my way back to the main road and i headed back home so i wouldnt get lost. Not my most successful geocaching adventure. The voodoo tramp, Team Datt and going geocaching 2017 visited this cache. Thankyou for bringing me to this great park.

we couldn’t find it there was too much bush but maybe we didn’t look hard enough? who knows

Awesome first find

Working in Whakatane this month. Had the day free and as the rain has stopped it was off for some caching in Tauranga. Never been to this reserve before and enjoyed the walk and collecting its three caches. I had made a presumption from the title and hint, what I was going to find. Once I got over that, the hint helped and it was not long before I spotted a telltale feature. Thanks Raconteur for the smiley.

Cache checked as there have been 2 DNFs. Cache found in place, safely tucked away. So all good to go.

Tried once and was unsuccessful but tried again on the way back and found it! GPS sent me off by miles but the comments definitely helped, great cache!

Lots of fallen trees now, thanks to a bunch if storms. Will come back!

I'm pretty sure I got to the correct location based off other people's comments and the description/hint, but for the life of me couldn't find the actual cache

A bit tricky

Our last find of the day. We were initially distracted by another potential hiding place, but after Mrs Taylana widened the search, we had much more luck. The cache was found, signed, and returned. TFTC

Did not find. But there was a cool hiding place at coordinates that looked like it would have creatively concealed cashe but found nothing tucked away there.

We were visiting family not too far from here so decided to go for a quick walk to find this cache. Soon spotted a likely hiding spot and sure enough located the cache. Contents is in good order. TFTC.

Cache checked, all is good - it's still nicely tucked away and all ready to find. Will send a note to the 2 x DNF 's. Removed the Travel Bug as none of the previoius finders have taken it. Perhaps they don't recognise that a laminated copy is still a TB.

This was a challenging find. Approached from below but on arriving at the coordinates it was clear there are plenty of places for this hide. Thought very carefully about the hunt and cache title and attempted to use my instincts on this one.

Even so it took quite some time to find this well hidden cache. 


Doing a maintenance run today, but the cache was nowhere to be found!
So, replaced with a cameo'd pill bottle, off the ground. Plenty of feijoas to be had right now, so bring a bag if you want to pick up some. Travel bug (replica copy) dropped off for the finder as well.

#922 - loving Daylight savings. Came over to this side of town to collect a few caches. Trying to make it to 1000 real soon!.

Made it harder for myself by coming up from the bottom, few options to choose from once at GZ but had it in hand pretty quickly. Tftc.

Love this place. It's the park that keeps on giving.
Took the dog for a walk around the lower loop and came back home with a load of fejoas and avocado's. Was fun dodging the falling avos under the trees in the brisk wind. Nearly got hit twice.
As for the cache, it's my closest unfound cache and I've put it off long enough. Easy to find, good condition.

Beautiful reserve....parked at another end for this one.
Took a while of slithering up and down bank on pine needles but so glad to find it.
