Found a broken pencil in the mulch where I thought it should be so maybe muggled? Here for a couple more days so interested if someone finds it whilst I'm still here.
I found this on 22/5/22 (love writing that date). It was a few metres towards the ferry than I anticipated. I think it was missing its lid but had a baggy and was dry and happy
Our fourth and final day on Kangaroo Island was again wet and cold (10ºC is cold to me), and so we drove to some interesting places with interesting looking caches. This was one.
However, despite searching until interrupted by yet another shower, we were unable to find the cache.

Yay. Found it. Many thanks for the smiley!
Visiting g briefly for a FTF ferry run after spending my birthday glued to my notifications before booking
Lunch smelled divine but only had time for a quick hotdog at the fat beagle
Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

During afternoons on the beach, I was reading descriptions from various caches, and this one seemed a doddle. I had some maintenance work to do over the way, which happened quite quickly, so had 3 minutes left in my time allocation.
I pulled up and parked in the nearby zone, yes, I had a chair on board, tick. My partner did the necessary paperwork on the numbers as I read it out, then as predicted walked the short walk to grab the exposed cache. Cache in good condition, double wrapped to be sure to be sure - Penny! Farewell to the island that has been our rest haven for the last 5 days. Thanks for putting over a 1000km on the odometer.
Thanks for the multi cache Freddo, now to join the queue.

Tagging along with friends on an epic adventure. Leaving our South Gippsland home with a days notice and driving 1061km straight through to Emu bay, Kangaroo Island as the Ferry we were going to board, was now out of action.
These are the caches we stopped to find along the way. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches in such amazing places.

After a woolly trip across the strait in a 2m swell we hit the island and started caching. This was the first on the list a simple Multi at the top of the hill.
Well it would be simple but the coords for the final seemed a bit shonky and had us at 90 degrees to the hint. And it didn't prevent me trying the difficult place first and scratching my arm on the bushes. I should have looked the other way first.
Thanks Freddo.

Thanks for arranging and hiding. We've just arrived in KI. Good to be having a look around the area. Caching with Wollaston and SeasonedBird.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Freddo

We were supposed to be on KI almost 2 years ago but the fires scuppered that and we turned around 500m from shore and that was that.
Roll on 20 months and the Covid pandemic and rather than being os as we usually would we find ourselves on an enforced SA road trip, not quite the same as Taiwan as planned .
But the great upside is we have had an amazing time firstly a week of walks and incredible scenery in Flinders Ranges and now a week on KI. Life is good, new LGA ticked off finally and more cache hunting to be done. .
This was our first find on KI and then a pint at the pub

Just off the ferry on a week break around the island, rather than fight the traffic inland a quick stop made to gather the info and a very short walk to the prize. Thank you for the placement of the Penny Sure cache Freddo find number 8429 on 9 September 2021 at 10:47 am
Our first Kangaroo Island cache, took a punt on the worst of the weather being finished. Will edit to add more detail later.
Thanks for the cache Freddo, all in good nick. TNLNSL

It was hidden in a extraordinary spot and we could not find it maybe make it bigger somehow or put it in a better spot
Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
After lunch at Minnies popped over to this one

Had some time to spare before our 1430 ferry back to the North Island and this was a really nice and quick multi to end my short trip to visit some fabulous KI wineries. Found @1410.
Lid has become detached from body, and doesn't have the normal level of grip for this type of container so it's possible it might fall off accidentally sometime. Provided people are careful I'd say it shouldn't need urgent attention.
This was our 3rd attempt to get across the waters to KI...... whoo hooo eventually made. This cache was the 1st opened in KI council region and island for us. Not counting the beginning of the wherigo I got whilst on the ferry. A quick bit of maths had the cache in my hand quickly, signed and replaced in record time. What a beautiful view and interesting read. I had been trying to get a TB called 'Alice' who's goal was to travel KI over here....yay her goal was reached to... Enjoy Alice as we take you on our adventures. TFTC.
We were on the Island with TubbyBooBoo and ZoBo01. First cashe on the Island, what a great way to easy into Kangaroo Island Geocaches, such a beautiful view, and a nice easy multi. TFTC
Found It!
A nice simple multi for my first cache find on Kangaroo Island! And with that, I have now found a cache in every possible LGA in South Australia!

Trip log:
When it comes to our trips for GreyHams and myself, opportunity seems to play a big part in the timings.. be it an event, sales on airfares or car hire, in this case it was my visiting SA and being there that worked so well for this one!
So it was a drive up to Adelaide to collect GreyHams from the airport and then a trip that would see us ending up in Mount Gambier in the South east of SA, close to my family holidaying nearby and conveniently located that GreyHams could fly home to his. Perfect when a plan just comes together!!!
The primary target of the trip was counties, about 21 in total and we had almost the complete opposite need of counties from each other. Of course we also targeted other caches of importance, oldies dominated the state but there was DT, virtuals, webcams, Ausmer and types. If your cache made our list it had a quality we were wanting, or as GH says, we were waiting for a ferry or a plane!
What a variation in the places we visited, from Adelaide's suburbs out into the hills, the ferry across to Kangaroo Island for the night and the many coastal regions through Victor Harbour and Goolwa. Through Murray Bridge and out into Mallee Country to Lameroo before turning and finding a great bed and meal at the Keith Hotel. Continuing South into the very bottom of the SE of SA before returning north slightly to make the plane, in time and that arrived! So much wild life through the areas and locations of interest, it was great!
Had to love the Santas through the Adelaide hills, seems that stuffing a Santa suit is an art form all of its own, and entertained us for a long time! Kayaking to an island on Kangaroo Island was fun and although the donut from Port Elliot bakery had to pass with masses already queueing... the chunky steak pie from Willunga Bakery might not have been as good as a pepper pie later but it was still damn good! Its the little things sometimes!!!
Many thanks for your cache that led us about on a varied and very enjoyable trip!

This trip came together due in the best way! Aquilus1 was over in SE SA visiting family, yet had a bunch of counties unfound between Adelaide CBD and Victor Harbour, I was missing all the counties south & east of Strathalbyn. What could be better than flying over from Canberra and being picked up at ADL airport and knocking of ALL the counties all the way to Mt Gambier, where I flew out. Last minute Covid shenanigans in Sydney & Melbourne threatened to derail it, but all good.
Of course our trips are more than just counties....we have a range of targets: Oldies, webcams/virtuals, larges with challenges and D/T thrown in for fun. If you are reading this log, then this cache had some quality we were hunting (or we were waiting for ferries or planes!)
We saw such a change in countryside, from Adelaide Hills, to Kangaroo Island, up to Borrika and then down to 'the Mount'....and the Santas! I can see areas where christmas lights arent the done thing, its stuffing your own Santa and posing them in the front garden, saw some very funny examples, we were chuckling for an hour I swear.
South Australia has such a wealth of very old caches, its wonderful. We grabbed lots of oldies and are now just a single find off our Ausmer challenges (just need to get to Melbourne or Brisbane for the last).

I crunched the numbers. Was I sure? Yep. As sure as Penny anyway. A nice quick multi today. TFTC
Quickly solved and was surprised at the final location of this cache. TFTC nice viewing area
Interesting story on a nearby info board followed by a quick find. Cache is in good condition but a new small plastic bag wouldn’t go astray soon. You can call into the Penny ( Penneshaw Hotel) really close by. Thanks Freddo. The cache is somewhere in the attached photo but this doesn’t give it away!
Arrived on KI and this was our first cache. Gathered the information required. Updated the co-ordinates and on the way to find GZ. A quick find. TFTC Freddo
Our first find after getting off the ferry. Collected the necessary information then made one of the quickest finds. Thanks for the multi Freddo.
As we had some spare time before our ferry to Cape Jervis left, we visited the nearby restaurant for a coffee and I went to look for the answers to this multi-cache. I was a little surprised, when I had calculated to finals coordinates. But they were right and we were able to find the box quickly.

Over at KI for an SES deployment doing Rapid Damage Assessments on the properties affected by the recent fire. Yesterday our team of 12 volunteers in 6 vehicles covered over 500sq km of properties in 10 hrs around Parndana. Today we caught the ferry back to Cape Jervis and whilst waiting I dropped into this cache and found it after a brief hunt. Thanks Freddo!
Having some R&R in Kangaroo Island, staying with Dunmowin during the Christmas New Year week. Today we headed out to do some sightseeing and of course grab a few caches. A quick find today before having a nice lunch across the road! TFTC
Last day on the island. We had enough time to look around. The sea was really rough, and the ferries were rocking on the waves. While enjoying this scenery, we found the missing numbers. The box was exactly at the calculated place - TFTC
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today we arrived on Kangaroo Island. We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island.
This was our second, only 84 to go!
Nice east way to start our visit. Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog for the location and the hide

I was dropping the dog off with my in-laws and had the afternoon to spare, so went to the pub and watched the footy. Then I thought I should check for new caches. One outside the door. Oh, there it is. Yay. Finding Freddo multis near pubs is probably not a good habit to get into.
Was looking around and then realised what Armco was started looking there good cache
We had come over to KI with the MX-5 Club and were staying on a few days after everyone had gone home... so now I had some time to hunt out caches!
After saying farewell to many friends on the 10:30 ferry, we were now heading back to Kingscote... slowly... taking several detours along the way... and caches when the opportunity presented. This stop was a nice, simple Multi that was easily found.
Thanks **Freddo the Chocolate Frog** for putting it here.

This was day five of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. This was our last full day on the island, so we went out to Cape Willoughby, then looped back to Penneshaw with a stop for lunch at Dudley Wines.
We had a few minutes in town, so I tried this multi. The calculations were not too difficult, then I made the arduous trek to the final coords. TFTC.

Thanks for the cache!
It was leading us to private property where the land owner seemed to be a muggles and thought we’d lost something. Could have just been a bad app I have for coordinates. I’d love a app suggestion. I have a zoomed in photo of where it was leading me. If this is actually near the location let me know and I’ll remove the photo.

Thank you for this cache which we found while waiting for the ferry. Greetings from Swiss cachers.
Having come ashore on a tender from our ship had time to kill before our trip to Kingscote. After a little walk around the town found ourselves at this site and we soon had the cache in hand to sign.
Silver place to matmob . Nice easy multi. Enjoying having a bit of a look around Penneshaw - we're usually going straight through after getting off the ferry. Thanks

On my three weeks’ leave in Australia I should like to see many of interesting things, a great nature also many animals unknown as well as known.
The distances are so huge, so we drive only one week by car and have three national flights.
I start in Melbourne then drive the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, perhaps the Kangaroo Island, flight to Alice Springs to see the Uluru from there, two day camping in the outback,
flight to Cairns the Great Barrier Reef and flight to Sydney to see the Fireworks at Sylvester on the Harbour Bridge.
It is a busy plan, I hope it works.
This is my first cache in Australia, I plan to make not so many caches I like, because the time is very short to make it all, LOL.
Many apologies for the unit log.
I say thank you to all the cache owners for maintenance.
Greetings from South Germany.
