Some just blend in and look like part of the construction. Onward and upward, more steps. We counted 167 in one set and there at least ten of those plus bigger sets and shorter sets and downhill sets.
Another little geocaching trip north with woolwood9.
We couldn't resist many stops on the way!
SL *tm/ww NZ*
Really appreciate the effort put into this cache Trail.
*Thank you for adding to our enjoyment!*
Arrived here after dark and pleased as if we had seen how many steps there were we probably wouldn't have walked it!
However we completed the loop walk although closer to 4 hours for us oldies as was, completely dark, many of the hides were very difficult to locate as not visited often and the track in places was very wet, muddy and slippery.
We let ourselves down by not taking some fresh logsheets with us as some were quite wet.
Overall though we had a great time, obviously saw no-one the entire time but woolwood9 saw a Kiwi - I missed it and only heard movement through the scrub.

Heading off for a long weekend to New Plymouth with tmann421.
Had to stop and pick up some of the newer caches we didn't have on the way.
All logs signed tm/ww NZ
Thanks to the cache owners, without their efforts this game would not be possible.

#12,659. Another good hike in Rawhitiroa. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Favorite point added for the great views.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Man What A Climb It Is For This Cache ,Wind Started To Pick Up ,Even With Heaps Of Cloths ,Was Starting To Get A Bit To Cold So Headed Back ,Will Be Back For More Caches.
Second of the day, beautiful views of mountain and lake and only one person has passed us. She did say this is one of the hardest walks in Taranaki. Hmmm. Tftc
We have been to Lake Rotokare before doing the around the lake track, but this time we decided to do the Ridge Walkway. Really great walk and nice views.
We were so busy listening to the birds that we sometimes forgot to check our GPS and walked past a few. But all the ones that we did stop at were pretty easy to find.
Thanks for the cache!

Thanks for the cache!
We decided we needed a bit of exercise, so headed here to pick up the caches that have popped up since our last visit. The weather was a little marginal but other than a bit of misty drizzly briefly near the top, the rain held off.
It's a bit of a chug up the steps but we were soon at GZ. The cache was very visible, but there was nothing around to cover it any better, so we returned it to where we found it.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Found quickly, great views.no idea how the previous cachers got a TB in or out of it!
Fabulous views today. Sun was shining and wind was low. Thanks for getting us back up here.
A good excuse to stop for a breather, thanks. Picked up a TB and will help it with its mission
Always a wonderful place to visit. This time we encountered North Island Robins, a Black Robin, hihi, and tieke, as well as the usual inhabitants. Really special. TFTC and an FP.
Did this one after the KIWI cache. Luckily high cloud cover made this climb out of the bush much more bearable. Tftc Bulbars.
A lovely afternoon for a walk around the perimeter with the family...and we grabbed some caches along the route. Must say these caches are a good excuse to stop on the climb and catch your breath. Tftc
The plan today was for Juty Bug & I to wander up the Pouakai range for me to do some cache maintenance, but for the first time in over a week, the weather up there was inclement. What to do?
After knocking off the FTF on the two new geocaches in South Taranaki, what next to do?
Ahh, today I have no geohound mate, so a perfect opportunity to nab these caches at Lake Rotokare Scenic Reserve.
This cache was a straight forward climb up the relentless steps and an easy find. But what a tiny geocache! Now on to Rest 5 which was missing when I last visited. TFTC

We were stoked when we started this walk to see that there was a FTF available. Even more stoked to be presented with a blank log still three days after publication. That is highly unusual for where we come from. Of course a favorite point from us.
