This cache is indeed missing after doing a check today.
It is a very hard find and well camoflaged, not something a muggle would come across. So I am hoping this hasn't been removed by a cacher. Will consider in the meantime purchasing another hide.

couldn't find it today.
Probably needs to be in a location where it is safe for all concerned.
A guy in his twilight years isn't going to climb up on to this structure.
Thanks Jacko83, but I do believe safety has to be taken into consideration.

Its been 16 weeks since I found this cache. Sorry for the delay in writing this log.
The cache was very memorable. Being the young fit things we are, we lept to it. Ilukaperi made the find incredibly quickly, bordering on scarily quickly. Like, in under a minute.
The DNF log since our find makes me laugh though. Maybe when looking for geocaches to attempt, I'd suggest not looking at T3.5s if you don't feel comfortable with the difficulty accessing the cache. That's what the T rating is there for, to give you a guide on what level of fitness you might require.
Pretty sure the cache is still there.

This was a D/T combo I needed and so it was on the must do list for the weekend. We had given ourselves an hour to find this, so we arrived and climbed the structure and stated searching all the little nooks. I found it within 5 minutes! Very unexpectedly, something was in a stranger place, I had put my fingers in and something moved, my heart almost stopped! We were very relieved to have found it so quickly!
Once I had found it and gotten back down from the structure, I realised I could actually see it from the ground! But it's not something you would notice until you found it!

Out and about in the region today with GlanvilleGirls and cleaning up some non found caches.
Out in the Stawell area today with Wozzle 68 picking up a few caches here and there. Well I definitely surprised myself at this one! Who knew I still had the monkey in me! But up I scrambled and found the cache quite quickly. Thanks for placing.
No luck 13/2/22. Spent heaps of time looking all over Callawaddle Cowboy - although a little reluctant to do any climbing. ( Not a young monkey any more ?? )
Checked all equipment. Good luck locating this next time.
Thanks JJHHXX

Passing through so thought we would check out the Stawell Gift. Seen this high D/T cache and thought we would have a go. After a very short search we were pleasantly surprised to have our hand on the cache. Thanks
Spending our first Christmas together with AlexiKatty and our first trip to halls gap trying to stay on target for my milestone for the Wangaratta mega in January. It's a nice day and beautiful to be out hear on this sunny day. Very happy to add this smile to my map.

Our first Christmas together and our first escape to HallsGap for caching!!!!
And what stunning weather
Thank you so much for placing a cache here and adding to our first Christmas memories
TFTC and Merry Christmas 2021
Amazingly this was the first thing we both looked at but due to all hints and ratings, we were determined it would be hard as heck and somewhere very hidden! Not all of this is as rusty as the age
My hardest difficulty yet!!!

Back for another attempt at this one after all the lockdowns. Spotted something suspicious fairly quickly this time around. Clever hide, very happy to turn the frowny upside down. Fav point added, TFTC
Found with TeamRobbie and TempletonTeam. I saw something out of the corner of my.eye that didn't look quite right and tada there was the cache. TFTC.
Haha great hide. My daughter was doing the hard work but I spotted something from a distance and asked her to check it - yay! We had already decided to abandon because the younger geokid desperately needed the toilet! Cheers
*Staying in Ararat for a few days*
Found as I toured around the area cleaning up the ol' caching map. It was great to be able to get back and explore an area where I spent much of my childhood as I was born in Stawell.
Have found another here previously but this certainly took some searching and then a PAF
Thanks for the cache Jacko83. Appreciate your efforts.

With a bright and early start from home we headed towards the Southern Wimmera, to collect a few more scattered caches. Our route took more twists and turns than we had expected.
No luck today, like many others we will be back for another look.
Our thanks to 'Jacko83' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

After enjoying some lunch in this neat little park, Chunk had a phone appointment so he sat on the park bench in the glorious winter sunshine while Chook was lucky enough to find this cache very quickly. TFTC Jacko83. Nicely hidden.
After a little looking around and some team work with my wife, we found it and worked together to reach it.

I have wanted to visit Stawell for a while. In my head I had envisioned a cache afternoon. Maybe on the way back from a Grampians trip where I would swing by and clean out the area.
Well life had other plans. My first visit to Stawell has seen me stranded in a rural town without a car. I had to sadly watch as my beloved little Yaris got towed out of halls gap. Hitched a ride to Stawell with the tow truck driver and then had to make some plans for how to get all the way back to Geelong from there - minus a car!
Some brief googling and wandering around led me to the bus stop/train station and a very long convoluted way home.at least there was actually an option - even though it’s going to take five hours! With some time to kill I decided I might as well grab some caches. I was hardly going to let a little thing like not having transport interrupt my caching weekend!
A little walk later dragging along my over night bag and I was at the site for this one. I enjoyed the scramble up and over and even sat back in the wheel while I created a bit of a plan for how to get myself home. Was glad to have some hints from the CO on where to find this cache! Still took me a good 40 minutes but that was the perfect way to kill some time before my bus ride.
As inconvenient as losing my car has been it has definitely taught me some good lessons I’m saving for future reference. If I’m going to be out adventuring I have to be prepared for adventure haha! Still got my fill of quality caches for today at least, this being one of them. Thanks Jacko83 a great hide and climb here. I’m out of favourites and owe a few already but I enjoyed this spot nonetheless.

While working on some old multis in town this afternoon, visiting various waypoints, I was following my map and picking up caches I might happen to drive by in the process.
This one popped up and i remembered the area from my Andes in Stawell and I knew I had found the cache here and wondered why it was marked as unfound.
So I parked close by, refreshed the cache page and sure enough read it was a new cache in the same location.
Well i didn't have any trouble locating the last cache so I thought this one wouldn't be too bad, after all there is only so many places it could be ( it wasn't on a train!) so I confidently commenced my search with Geodaughter patiently waiting in the car.
Fast forward about 30 minutes or more and had to concede to messaging the CO for a hint, as i wasn't having any luck at all, even reading past logs didn't shed any light.
Finally with a bit of a nudge I had this sneaky one in hand , all the while metaphorically kicking myself up the butt quite firmly for not checking the obvious places more carefully.
Well done jacko83, in the end a find that I made much harder than it needed to be, clever hiding to you! And thx for the help today! Another FP from me. Cheers
Forgot to add, another square on the D/T grid filled with this cache too!

Find #165@ 11:55am on 8/1/20 so happy to turn this into a smiley! After reading previous logs, I eventually found a couple of hints. I grabbed a stick and started poking around and underneath every nook and cranny. After a little bit of searching, I feel something cache-e.
I tell another team member about this, so they give it a poke too. After more poking, out came a stone, then a piece of glass, then a small container. Over the moon to finally get this cache and happy that it is my first one for 2020. FP added. Found with jaminajar

Hunted around here in the half hour before sunset. Fun climbing here, but we didn't spot anything that looked like a cache.
Always hard to know with places like this how much you want to put your hands where your eyes can't see, and we erred on the side of caution.

Day 10 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong and return via wherever the caches are.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - Anymules but we were joined by other cachers in our travels.
With the Mega event finished we continued caching around Bendigo where we were based for a few days. The GPS died and was trying to learn this app as we cached.
Today we started on the journey home following unfound caches on the map. Where will we finish tonight?
I had found the previous version so I went straight there and looked. Damn. New hide. Worst still I cracked my head twice doing so. So the search began in earnest. AnyMules fetched his TOTT and looked in hard to reach places from the top. He soon had the little sucker in hand. Then dropped my stamp and had to come back to find that!
Thanks for putting out this cache for our enjoyment.

We came prepared for a long search and climbing. Mary wondered if our ladder would be needed, then before she could really start to look, Mr M said the magic words "I have it", in disbelief Mary confirmed that no climbing was needed and he had made the find in less than 30 seconds. Hmmm, wow. Am lucking that Mark is over 6 foot high.

Drunken promises at a mid-year birthday party for seffnjarah Junior meant that an extended Bromance; Swellerfungus, Crookedpete, Seff (seffnjarah), SayWOT? and I (most logs signed 'Bromance') found ourselves driving around a large chunk of Victoria. Ostensibly we were in town for the Mega, but really the aim was to assist Seff in celebrating his day of birth by finding solved puzzles, climbing trees, a hike or two, and maybe, just maybe, spending a couple of hours with several of our long suffering spouses (LadySim, Jarah and Jez) who had been dragged along for the ride. Yesterday consisted of a loop around the Mornington peninsula, a ferry trip and back via Geelong, then a lot of Thai for dinner. Today (A.K.A Seffstival) commenced at our accommodation in Kew, paused at a cafe and bakery for coffee, a birthday thick shake, and other bad calories, before getting serious with The List carefully crafted by the J.E.F.F app.
As we pulled up nearby GZ was pretty obvious, but as we approached we could see there would be a number of hiding spots. 3 of us climbed up, with the other two spotting from the ground. Seff and CP went one way, I went the other, and Seff made the find quickly after that. He didn't quite stick the dismount though; hand vs iron, and the iron definitely won! Off to the esky for some ice! TFTC

Today was day 2 of the 2019 Bromance St Arnaud FIFO adventure with the plan to head from Melbourne to Stawell then onto the St Arnaud Mega, before returning to Ballarat for the night.
Along the way we targeted virtual caches, oldies for our jasmer, some rarer DT's and other interesting caches with lots of favourite points.
The DT of this urban cache certainly caught our attention. I love a good urban climb and as soon as we pulled up, I was up on top of the structure. Having once had an encounter with a red belly black hiding amongst old equipment, I was a little more reluctant than Seff to stock my hands into a few of the crevices. Seff hasn't met a red belly black up close, so he found the cache pretty quickly!
Great urban hide, Many thanks jacko

n town to attend the St Arnaud Handicap, The Bromance Plus (Seffnjaray, CrookedPete seffnjarah, JeznDez and SayWot!) flew in from Brisvegas. Day 1 was massive with 2.5 hours sleep, a healthy 5 hours and we were off for day 2.with a whirlwind bromance of caching, some more challenging than others. Thanks to all the owners for their dedication to the game by providing such great places to visit around the greater Melbourne area. We started today in Kew, got as far as Stawall, St Arnaud and back to Ballarat - a great adventure all around.
Logs were signed collectively for all as "Bromance" to save log sheet space.
No way I was climbing that - no room with three others doing the duties. Cache found - ripper!

The Bromance (seffnjarah, Crookedpete and Swellerfungus) conducted a successful fly-in-fly-out mission from Brisbane to Melbourne for last year's mega event at Parkville, and decided to return again this year for the The Bromance Mega FIFO Adventure 2019. With the addition of Dez of JezNDez as the all new-and-improved Bromance, and sayWOT? joining us as caching 457 visa holder, the expanded team flew in for 3 days of caching around Melbourne and regional Victoria, with a visit to the St Arnaud Mega thrown in.
After a better night's sleep than the first night in town, the team departed again, refreshed and raring to go at 5.30am. Caffeinated and feed at an early morning cafe on the outskirts of Melbourne, we headed off on our meandering journey towards the St Arnaud mega event, gradually working our way through "The List".
As trip planner and coordinator, Stawell was not initially on my itinerary, as it was thought to be a little too far off the intended route to the Mega event, but team consensus and the lure of some other caches on the way soon had it added to "The List". After a visit to a nearby earth cache, the team headed over to try our hand at this high D cache. Noting the attributes on the cache page, Crookedpete, Dez and I made our way up to the correct elevation while the others acted as spotters from the ground. Despite the high difficulty I was very luck to put my hand on the cache in only the second place I searched. After signing the logbook "The Bromance" I was not as lucky getting down, managing to give my hand a nasty wack as I jump back down to solid ground. That's going to hurt in the morning....[B)] TFTC

With time off work, it was time to hit some hiking tracks and what better way to spend this time, with some hiking through the wonderful Grampians region. DAB and I decided to take two days out here to do some of the hikes in the area. The weather was ok to us with a bit of rain around at times but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time out here.
We detoured here to try our luck again with this cache. We grabbed some lunch before coming here for the cache. Today the cache was found without needing the extra tools we brought along in case we needed them.
**Thanks to Jacko83 for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy**

Another chance to hit the road with Na'wal, after a brief stay in the Grampians, we had to head home. We had our eye on this one and couldn't wait to tackle it. Luck was on our side, as Na'wal was straight onto it before I even left my car seat !! Stoked to get a smiley face on this one. TFTC Jacko83

Some time ago we found the first cache on this piece of mining machinery. We recall it taking quite some time to locate that well hidden cache. When preparing for this trip we noticed that the original cache had been archived and a new one had been put in place. So this cache was "a definite" for this visit.
Earlier this year we realised that it was our tenth year of caching and it was possible, that if we had a very productive year, we could reach 25000 finds, an average of 2500 per year. As we started our third trip to the northern island for the year we needed another 231 finds to achieve our goal. After 6 days caching, we still needed another 10 finds. We chose Gold Digger V2 as our target cache to attain our goal.
We arrived at the cache site and deployed our ladder. A systemmatic search was started by one member of the team and after a few minutes, the other member of the team (looking from a different angle and elevation) noticed something and on closer investigation, the well hidden cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. It was a great hide Jacko83 (and earns a favourite from us) and we were exceptionally pleased that this cache had become our 25000 find. To mark the milestone, a selfie has been added to this log.

Personal Milestone:
25 000 finds within 10 years of caching
Sincere thanks to all who have supported us by hiding caches, by their advice, their encouragement and their friendship.

Tricky this was one of the main targets for the day, a trad DT that I was yet to get. Up I climbed and searched and searched. Thought I had searched the whole thing but still couldn’t find it. I guess I thought I knew what I was looking for. A few PAFs were used but no help was given as no answer was had on their end.
Back up I went and one place had ignore I had a look at, woo hoo! It was there, that’s not what I was expecting to find.
On my trip from Adelaide to Tasmania. Today was a big day out, I headed from the Grampians (halls gap), to Ballarat with a few detours along the way. With a few target trail caches to pick up along the way, all the caches in my to do list were found and a total of 95 caches were found for the day.

Couldn’t get up to find this one without my trusty and much younger sidekick. We’ll be back.
This cache has been on our to do list since we headed up to the SA Border Track for our last desert event. Unfortunately we ended up bypassing the Western Highway both ways so today we amended that by calling in on our way home from our weekend adventure.
The fit Triton was able to make the climb to inspect the historic machinery thoroughly before coming up trumps with the well hidden cache.
Thanks Jacko83 for the sneaky placement.
A favourite added.

May be too old for this one managed to drag my self to the top but not agile enough to clamber all over biggest challenge was getting back to earth
Suscoe was up early today for another day of caching enjoyment.
We focused around the Stawell area to find a few more caches.
This was our first stop and we came prepared with TOTT.
Funnily enough we cracked it for the right spot first up.
What stood out as a prolonged search infact turned into a 5 second find.
How lucky can you be some days.
Thanks to jacko83 for this hide.
All good at GZ this morning.

We loved this cache, and how it bought an adventure aspect to the hunt! It took all three Geo-Kids clambering over the structure to find the cache, but not without the Geo-Parents panicking that one of the Geo-Kids were going to fall off! A well earned favourite point from us! Tftc!
Can change the frown to a smiley! We found it. Thanks to a hint from a previous cacher!
Geopartner climbed, reached up both ways and had a look and feel but come up with nothing. Thanx
The coords had us about 12m away from the structure on the open grass. We knew it wasnt here so we went to the machinery. We then spent 40mins searching and even called in some help to narrow the search area. After many photos, and finding a redback spider and mutiple nests where we were told it was, we retreated. We are disappointed to walk away with a blue face here.
On arriving in town we noticed the very appealing D/T rating for this cache, and so while undertaking one of the town’s Multi-caches we couldn’t resist stopping off to search for this cache too. Mr Team GBS made light work of the ascent but Mrs Team GBS struggled a bit. After a good search the very well hidden cache was finally spotted, then it was a case of using what we could find around us to help with the extraction. Once done the log book was signed and the cache then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded for the good fun clamber! Greetings from Zimbabwe
Yay!! Finally able to turn this DNF into a smiley. We weren’t leaving until we found this one...!! With a little nudge on the right direction from fellow cacher Kamitomato, the geokids were still blind and couldn’t find it... eventually.... aha!! Goods in hand. Thanks Jacko83!!
We, along with many other cachers have found the original cache here and we can testify that this one is a much trickier find. We did use a TOTT to retrieve this cache please do not take any of our stars away from us for that. It was just as enjoyable to return here as it was coming here the first time. SL TFTC
Found @16:49 #6936
On a milestone caching mission with ahomburg this weekend. We stopped for a couple of finds along the way and they were nothing particularly special, this one however was!! Exactly what I like, a real challenge with the real risk of serious injury too.
It was a hot day. But this was a must find and it must of looked a sight from the nearby houses where in the roaring heat two men where seen swing and reaching and ducting all around and iver this historical structure. Found it eventually and a sneaky hide too. A satisfying find indeed. Some rare DT too. [^]

Find #9993
I had been looking forward to this weekend for some time. The plan was to find my 10,000th cache and also fill in the last 2 spots in my phisy P81 grid for loop 15. Looking ahead at the weather and it was going to be an absolute beauty. SedgwickDave agreed to come along for the adventure.
I needed another 20 caches before the big one tomorrow, so we decided to stop every now and then along the way to pickup various caches along the way. This one was a must do if my plan was to come together completely. I had recognised the area on approach as I had done the previous incarnation of this one. Dave and I clambered all over the structure for a bit until dave came up with the goods. Cheers Bro.
Many thanks to Jacko83 for the cache. TNLN.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2019?*

These warm summer nights means we can take the kids out exploring.
Tonight was no exception.
The geokids climbed and explored, they even said: "this is where the 'other' cache use to be".
Geomum found said old cache, well part of it. On the ground, along with a pen lid.
It was Geodad that ended up finding this sneaky hide.
Don't go nuts, you'll find it.

Although the bananas didn't find it we have one very useful hint to help you out.
The bananas are down as another of those loosers not capable of the find.
But don't give up.
We did climb it.
We did give plenty of time.
We had various points of encouragement.
We admired the view.
We realise now plenty of places where it ain't
But for all those who are looking for it.
And in retrospect.
The bananas are prepared to give you this one very good tip.
Save some time.
With this one useful hint.
Don't waste any effort reading this report

Out doing a few caches to keep the kid from driving me nuts with apparent boredom!
Not too many structures this could be on and just the type of cache I like... except that I'm a bit older now, not sure about wiser, but left most of the climbing to the 10 year old.
In other words I'm a bit of a chicken shit!
Suggested a few places for her to look, managed to get up there for a quick look myself, but somehow heights and tripping hazards scare me just a little more than they used to.
A convo with the CO had us looking again, finally she found it in one of the places she assured me she had looked! haha
I managed to be brave and get up there again to sign the log
Who says micros aren't 'real' caches

After searching for over half an hour, we still didn’t come up with the goods. Will be back next week with more manpower to search again. Very determined to get this one.
Couldn’t find after half hour of looking, I’ll be bring back a family member next time to help
A phone call from McLookers today led to a trip to Stawell to pick up a few caches, this one being the first. After arriving the McLokers clambered over the old machinery with a few directions given by the ground crew, but the cache was not sighted. After quite some time Tomstache dragged himself from the car and decided to help with the search. It was all of 10 seconds and Tomstache had found the cache, wacko. Very happy to find a blank log - FTF. Thanks Jacko83 for bringing us to this spot, a favourite is given
