OMG! That was seriously scary. Decided to try it by myself at 65. Just got Wazza at the waste treatment place and started the bush bash. Knew I shouldnt be doing it. GC Partner out sailing today and he will go ballistic when he sees me. On reflection I got there unscathed and found the cache but lost my pen on the way and the one IN the cache not working. Getting back was seriously scary. Sun was going down, couldnt find and path. Could hear the traffic and knew I was close. Plenty of battery on the phone and could see my self calling the SES.Really bushbashed hard to get out. But I made it and now know where all the bodies are.!Lots of scratches and cuts and a bruised ego but finally back to the car. This cache is good but not for the faint hearted!TFTC.
dnf, unsure if the cache is still here as we couldn't figure out access. area is overgrown and full of spiders
This weekend I was meant to be with the owner for his 50th birthday. But time, money and the birth of grandchildren meant we couldn’t get there.
So today I targeted this cache in his honour.
Even by his standards that is a seriously tough Terrain 2!?!
TFTC and happy birthday!!!

Good search tool is a wile only took a sticker but if a bash to get there though
Wow, this one could have been in the Pure Evil series today!
We made a short bash to the trail head, swatting away the mozzies and removing spider webs. Little did we know that was just a hint of what was to come. The further we got, the more mozzies were attacking us. They seemed to be working with the large spiders in their webs that were slowing us down, making us easier targets! Not to be beaten, we slogged through and fortunately found the cleverly camo'd cache quickly. We signed as quickly as possible while batting away the swarm of mozzies and then made a hasty retreat back to the geomobile. I'm sure glad I took an anti-histamine this morning!
Thanks for yet another awesome Hancock experience!

Should have worn my lederhosen for this one so I could be dressed for the occasion to slap myself silly all the way to the cache and back. Never experienced so many mozzies in one location. Located the "regular" container then darted back through the thick and prickly vegetation to the safety of our geomobile in record time. Thanks for another memorable cache!
So... I’m going down there? Yep!
This was a good one and I was tentatively thinking about not doing it due to the poorly defined trail head... I guess for future catchers just follow the fence line. And wear long pants! But this was a rewarding cache with a great view TFTC

Well I'm glad that in our family we leave our gifts where they are much easier to find.
Finding the cache was actually very easy once at GZ but getting there was extremely rugged!
I parked at the suggested waypoint and from there.....I couldn't see any track at all so just went straight in the direction the GPS arrow pointed.
Fortunately it's a mild winter's day today so there's no mozzies, and being as it is winter there no snakes which I think would love this bushland.
So I was heading basically straight up the hill. Once at the top there were a great panoramic view, and a track! So I followed it, until it petered out then I followed the GPS arrow again spurred on by the fact I'd seen the log that someone had found this just 2 weeks ago. It wasn't long before I spotted the item mentioned in the hint, and the rest is history.
When I returned to the geomobile there was a council worker in the carpark. He gave me the strangest look, but asked no questions.

With today's cold and windy wether the mozzies were not an issue and I soon found myself at gz for a quick and suspicious find. The track si very over grown already and soon this cache will go up in terrain rating.

HC you parted cheekily (you must have been very constipated) 'cause that's the biggest log I've seen! Or is that just regular for Howie the Yowie?! Hope you're enjoying TAS and wreaking havoc spreading your Pure Evil caches down there too. TFTC The Hancock Clan.
I don't know why it has taken me so long to grab this cache. The parking area has a great memory of a rehearsal for a geocachers got talent gig with Mr Hancock. The container was as I expected from the HC.
The track here now is very old and not maintained any more. So much so that the have been several large trees that have fallen recently at the start of the track. A lot of up, over and under to get to GZ.A shame as it is quite a pleasant walk. Fabulous views over Botany Bay at the top.
Hope to catch up with the Hancock Clan again one day soon.
TFTMemories and of course a FP.

Well that track has seen better days. Great views across Botany Bay towards the city on the way in and out. Thanks HC.
Eeeek, what is it. Perhaps some horrible blood sucking monster from a Deadly Earnest's Aweful movie, The Island of Terror on Friday night in 1966 on channel ATV-0 Melbourne, East Burwood. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5QWCW65--gc Had to poke with a stick at first. Definitely a favourite.

Oh I get it, you’re enjoying beautiful Tasmania with picturesque water views and amazingly clean air whilst you compel your Sydney “friends” to battle through farmer’s friends, spiderwebs and prickly bushes all whilst breathing in the stench !!!
Nice one TFTC

OCW the Bebes. Parked at suggested location and found the path entry. Made our way to the top of the hill then a quick bush bash down to lower level where the scrub cleared. Followed coords to the very interesting cache!! Thanks for the parting gift Hancock clan!!
Great to find another classic THC cache for my 3500th. The beach was wonderful and afterwards I drove to Kurnell to give this a go. Ive been to this carpark many times before and whilst the begining of the trail is almost overgrown, it opens up and provides excellent views fron the top. Descending into the shady forest was pleasant until right at GZ where I walked into mosquito hell. No problems finding GZ...very life like and the swarms of flies on it, even confused them. ..lol.....had a good chuckle. So doing the mosquito slap. ...I signed the log and got out of there.
Thank you for the lovely parting gift.

Forgot to log this one. Nice hike up to it , on a very humid day.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Nice walk in to the cache with some good views along the way, had to keep an eye out for all the spiderwebs across the track.
Got to GZ and had a moment of cache blindness

Enjoying a jolly good giggle at this cache and the comments. HC you could have called by and packed me in your suitcase for the trip over, and then left me at the Hobart or Launceston bus terminal upon arrival
We had to pick up the grand sons for some babysitting today and an opportunity to find this new cache.
Being first through the track this morning we encountered a multitude of spider webs which freaked out the youngest. I was in front waving a stick about. Eventually we closed in on the cache as we passed through a mosquito colony. Looks like the cache is an escapee from the nearby treatment plant . Did the signing and dropped a TB. Grabbed two Navy stickers for the boys. TFTC The Hancock Clan. A F.P.
Best wishes in the new venture.
Note: Howie the Yowie has nothing on this one.

This has got to be the crappiest cache I have ever done.
Having seen what Howie the Yowie can provide when doing TRLT series out west recently, I was not surprised to see this effort. Looks like he has made a visit to the coast for a holiday. And left a little gift too!
I decided to bring Zelda the geodog along as she could sniff out this one. But even she was surprised at the enormity of it. Quite jealous in fact!
Plenty of mozzies, spider webs and prickly plants just as forecasted in the description. And the biggest log I have ever seen.
Thanks for the parting gift HC. We will miss you. And your "evil" hides. All the best in Tassie. I'm sure you will put yourselves on the map in good time.
Worth a farewell FP from Brew. TFTC

[ FTF ] Joint with Wazza9, I saw this one published and said to Wazza9 tbis was published 7 minutes ago, he debated should we have the coffee he was making or go, I thought go now. Off we went discussed the best attack to this cache, decided on one , that way didn't work, try another, started to bush bash not my favourite way and thought about trying another way, yes we kept going, going and going, then we were only 100 meters, on we go, while I check that obvious area, not there. Then Wazza9 said this is GZ, check around, when I said that looks funny and yes there it was. Wazza9 opened the container to see a familiar peg and thought we had been beaten to FTF, but the book was blank, but not for long we signed the new log and replaced as found. Over drink last night THC mentioned placing a leaving present, didn't think anything else about it. I took a necklace it will remind of The Hancock Clan every time I wear it, not that I need a reminder of the great friendship we have formed over the years. It's not goodbye, happy travels to Tasmania, see you very soon. . A big thanks to The Hancock Clan for the cache.
TFTC,
[FTF] JOINT with Nana nel 12:09 PM.
10:52 AM and I was preoccupied, time for a late Sunday morning tea and I offered to get Nana nel something to drink. The jug was nearing the boil and I was placing the pre mix Cuppuccion and Latte into cups when Nana nel said come, lets go it's been published.
Friday morning the car was pointed home and it was time to get there. It was not possible to do it in one day and we made Harrington after deciding it was impossible to make the farewell function for The Hancock Clan. While trying to solve a Puzzle, we were surprised to be included via internet chat. Thinking that it would be a hard drive through the City, we left early Saturday and were unpacked by 4:00 PM. Much easier than expected.
We were talking to The Hancock Clan last night and knew it was in place but thought it would be a few days before it was published. No hope of us ever getting a FTF. While Nana nel went to get suitable clothing on, I downloaded the cache into the GPS, listened to the attached musical piece and we were on our way. Now having walked much of this area late last year chasing Pure Evil caches and those placed by others, I had an idea that there was possibly more than one way to dispose of the anticipated TURD. It was a reasonable walk to within 27 M of GZ before being met by the welcome party. Where did so many mozzies come from. I recon that before getting to GZ I had disposed of over 100. It was hard then because there was nothing at that location and we had to start searching and after a couple of wrong spots and a 100 bites on the legs and arms, it was necessary to look at the hint. The cache camo was staring us in the face. May I recommend that you use the coordinates that are offered for parking and the track head to start your adventure. You can even do a Maintenance check on my Cycleways cache for me.
How brilliant, signed the log, took a sticker to add to my collection, visited trackables and added a favourite for the fight that I lost with the mozzies.

Joint second to find with JP. Left a FTF in woronora heights headed home and realised I'd missed this place. Left home quickly to head to kurnell. Realised at 12:40 when I found Nana nel had beat me to it by thirty mins just hadn't logged as of yet. Thanks for a good find, good luck Hancock clan
Came a bit later than Snipz for this potential FTF but was just short. Great camo, view is great on a nice walk. TFTC.
