MEGA WEEKEND CACHINGJoint find with DownsouthInv, Annielin, Wombats_4, MrandMrsFraggle, MrsHazzar, Abbykitt and KNCN (together the group is known as SRT, Southern Raiders and all logs were signed with that name to save space and save time) busy busy day for the group from the south, but enough time to clean up some more solves/caches T4TC PS sorry for the gereric logs so many caches to do so little time
Out and about starting in Aramoana today, heading back towards Dunedin and the mega tomorrow. It's a beautifully sunny day and we are enjoying the weather and the wildlife as we go. Tftc!

Up from the South to the Geo Toroa Mega long weekend extravaganza! The Friday a big caching day for our group..the Southern Raiders Team (SRT). With the weather looking ominous for the Saturday BUT good for catching up with friends and fellow cachers met over in Australian Megas for the opening day. So much fun today bumping into likewise happy cachers. Generic logs but behind them a much appreciated thankyou to the COs and peeps involved in the weekend of fun ??

Decided to drive out to Aramoana and tick off a few caches. This was the first cache I looked for. A nice quick find. Thanks Natalie.
Staying in Dunedin for a few days while on a trip to this end of the country. Haven't been to this side of the harbour before so on a drive out this way. Followed the hint and the GPS, and soon had the cache. Thanks.

Tftc. GPS took us right there even though I too assumed it would be in the other spot. All in good condition
Started walking towards the wrong hint item, but soon realised my mistake. A short search and soon came up with the cache. Found with MrMagoo72. TFTC.
Redco5 and i decided to explore the northern coast of the harbour starting at Port Chalmers.
We started searching at the wrong sign first.

What is it that they say about looking for a sign?....it pays to look for the correct sign!
Visiting from Wgtn for a son's graduation and stolen some time for a fabulous coastal drive. Nice quick find and log is in good condition. TFTC

Indiboo had accidentally logged this as a find for the last cache we did so luckily we were heading here next and soon had the cache in hand after searching the wrong side first!

Our friends brought us our here to explore. Nipped off for a cache or 2 with Piwaka54. Lovely spot with a tragic recent history.
Visiting Dunedin from Hamilton for the weekend and took a drive out to Aramoana for a walk after brunch. Tftc
Should have been a quick park and grab, but we had to go explore the tree area behind. TFTC

I was here a few months back as part of my 'walk every street in Dunedin' challenge but we didn't have time to stop for geocaching. Back today and made a very quick find in the 'obvious' spot.
One more Aramoana cache before leaving. I had some difficulty getting the lid off, but Mr Spoonz made short work of it. Thanks for this one.
Anya and Esme found this in the rain and hail. Lucky it was easy thanks to a good clue.

Looked on the wrong side initially but after widening our search area the cache was soon in hand. TFTC

Just to confuse any muggles Infoferret looked at one sign on one side of the road while I looked at the sign on the other side of the road. Having a short trip from Invercargill to Christchurch with Infoferret finding lots of caches, in particular the TMGT caches for me.

Pulled up and left the GPS in the car because I thought I knew where I was heading. Bad mistake because there was no cache there and when I went and got the GPS it lead me across the road for a super quick find. Funny that! TFTC # 16,442
Great day for a bike ride out to Aramoana I thought, but then found myself accidentally caught up with a crowd of police and civillians arriving for a Memorial Service for the tragedy that Aramoana suffered 5 years ago.
It made me even more aware of how lucky I am to be alive, happy and able to spend leisure time this way because people like the CO take the time to place caches for others to enjoy. Thanks.
