Looked for 30 min, read the hint and activity but this one eluded us today we've been pretty good with the tricky ones but wasn't our day!
pug002 DNF it 12/6/20, after seeing so many DNF’s contacted CO to see if it was still there, no response so when the rain stopped decided we would go and have a look, nothing to be found.
At the coords we could not find a box. For this one we would not search any longer.
Visiting your beautiful country from Canada. Walked many Km from the dock where our ship, the Regent Seven Seas was anchored off shore. Crossed many bridges over canals and then crossed fields with a million tiny pestering flies. The grounded vessel seems to have come in contact with a Kraken. TFTH
Last day in town for this trip and a cache required for the 3-2-1 Souvenir. A short detour on the way to work, a quick scout around and the good sized container was quickly spotted from the right angle.
Over to the right spot, I reached in and grabbed the cache then etched my name in the log. All done, it was tucked back and I headed off.
Being brought to obscure places and things is what I love about this game. You'd never head along this road unless you were a local or were chasing an icon.
Cheers IslaySmiths.

Pulled into Exmouth today from Karratha and while the wife slept off a headache I gave her some peace and quiet and collected a bunch of caches around town. A beautiful afternoon with temperatures around 30 degrees and a nice breeze. A welcome break from the mid-40s I had been experiencing throughout the kimberley.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Another day of exploring the fabulous Ningaloo coast and headed into Cape Range N.P. for more spectacular scenery Every day I think that must be it, nothing more to blow my mind around here but it just keeps on coming Grabbed a coffee on way out of Exmouth and spotted an emu wandering around the shops, drove up Charles Knife Road to look at the canyon (honestly, you could put an earthcache every few metres here ), took the hire car up to the Shothole, too late in the season for wildflowers but native hibiscus in bloom. Grabbed a burger and drink then back to caching Took a swim in the ocean to round out the day. Then rinsed off the 4WD at the boat wash bay Relaxing with a Have a lovely dinner planned. What a fun day!
I took the scenic route to GZ and added another layer of red dust to the hire car The simpler drive in is the track next to the substation and opp Horwood St. This was a novel location so took a couple of pics before locating the cache towards the middle of the wreck. Dropped off a trackable and a GCA moveable cache

On our trip from Perth to the north anlongside the west coast we arrived our aim Exmouth four days before. Today I made a morning walk with my baby muggle from the RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park to find the wreck. Unfortunately, I did not find the right way right away and made a detour in the heat. But then I found the cache thanks to the hint. The coordinates were some metres away.
We have 2 months for holiday in Australia. My aim is to find every day a Cache. This is our eighteenth day and my nineteenth logged Cache.

Owner has been to check all is ok with this cache - and it is! If you’re not finding it you just need to do a bit more searching!
Cache retrieved from the depths of the ships hull (where it was thrown by someone who didn’t realise the significance at the time but who tracked me down to explain what had happened which is very cool of him )
Cache is now re-hidden inside the hull in a slightly new but accessible position because wooden planks have been removed exposing the old hiding place.

So happy to be able to find the treasure chest on this magnificent vessel. Thanks to the CO for conducting maintenance before we leave town.
Sorry folks, sounds like this has been muggled, thanks for letting us know. I will let you know when we’ve replaced the cache - watch this space!!
When we were unable to locate the cache we resorted to phoning a friend and after consultation confirmed that it certainly was not where it had been found just a few days ago.
Thank you IslaySmiths, we are sorry to report that this cache could well be missing.

In Exmouth with megawat60, he made a quick find here. Wondered like others, how it got there. Swapped TB’s. TFTC.
Hi there IslaySmiths.
We found your cache **"The Kraken"** today. (This makes our find count 22768).
We cached around Exmouth today & found your cache **"The Kraken"** at 11:22:00 AM. (This brings our total find count to 22768). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 7 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia. Thanks also for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this regular sized cache here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 11m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
**Dropped Trackable:** "OceantagZ - Bumbíkova rybicka".
**Please Note:** *We didn't spot "Proud Aussie 1" in the cache*, could IslaySmiths (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory. This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Today was our last day in Exmouth area. We would make some last stops at points of interest and also found a few caches along the way.
This place was a strange one, a ship wreck that far from the sea? It’s a nice one though, with some graffiti which fits the ship.

In Exmouth for work out at the RAAF base and 2 nights in town so very little time for caching. But stopped and grabbed a couple on the way into town.as Ithought can i take my hire car down that track but it had just been graded after recent rains and was very smooth. Then saw the Kraken laying there. What a place to leave a boat. Pulled up here got out the car and had the cache in sight very quickly log signed and off again. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here Islaysmiths.
Cruised out to check out the land locked Kracken and wasn’t disappointed. Great painting sorry to see this old boat caste away. TFTC quick find after appreciating the art work. All in great shape.
Nice little stroll out to the Kraken, (didn’t take my 2 wheel drive rental car due to the muddy conditions) Easy find, thanks.
I was out for a dawn wander when I came across this - a very interesting sight. Coordinates seemed to be a bit out but that wasn't much of a problem. TFTC.
Found it fairly quickly although the phone was telling us we were 13 metres away. TFTC TNLN

Randomly jumped on the app and spotted a new green symbol. Too excited to wait we chucked lil man in the car at 9pm (way past his bedtime) and off we went for the mission. Been here several times so new exactly where to go. Pumped we were the first to find and to see whom the CO was - Thanks @IslaySmiths
Left a few goodies for the next cacher!
