Logs
On a road trip together with -moge-; across New Zealand; from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island; up, down, right, left ... So much to see, so much to experience. So many great, and sometimes old, caches! But I can hardly keep up with the logging. Far too exhausted from all the experiences. I am sorry that it will now be a standardized log for some founds.
Hello GH6710,Another day, another Cache.Together with Dr Donna travelling through New Zealand. We arrived at Auckland Airport and made our way up north. After visiting Cape Reinga we went on our way South to reach Stewart Island with stops in many different Citys all over the country. Of course we have an open eye for nice Caches but take what we can get. Today we came across your Cache and signed the logbook with our names or took pictures for Virtuals and Earthcaches. Its great how many nice spots we are able to discover through our journey and how many of them we only See because of Geocaching! Thanks for bringing us to this place and takeing care for the geocache. Liebe Gre und vielen Dank fr die Hege und Pflege deines Traditional Cache! -moge-#############Der Cache "Okiwi Bay - safe stopping point (Marlborough)" von "GH6710" war fr mich Cache 6657. Plan A was to spend the weekend in Blenheim but as we often do we find ourselves following plan B. Which turned out to be heading towards Kaikoura. We are in the campervan with a trailer on behind so we were only going to stop where there was ample parking, this certainly met those requirements. We were the only vehicle here at the time we stopped.I jumped out and made a quick find of the log, signed the log and returned it as I found it.Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
There was a muggle parked nearby, but facing away, so I was able to find the cache unobserved. TFTC.
Trouve ! / Found it ! 5245me cache trouve.Merci GH6710 pour la cache 5245th cache found.Thank you GH6710 for the cache
Driving down to Kaikoura for the weekend and collecting as many caches as I can. This was a quick stop, grab, sign and off again. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
Thanks for this cache, GH6710. It felt like a very long drive from Nelson to Chch today, with several significant holdups for road works along the way. It was good to stop here to stretch my legs.
Thanks! Driving to Kaikoura and stopping at many if not all the viewpoints along the way. Easy park and grab
Stopped with Hazy_Wazy who was driving and noticed there was a cache here. Quick find and all replaced as found. TFTC
Found it. Log to follow Greeting from Bath, UK. Today we (GrandadohKeith & I) were taking a slow drive down from Blenheim to Kaikoura and this seemed an ideal spot to stop & stretch our legs, admire the scenery etc. OMG there is a cache less than 250ft away - a no brainer, lets get it. Straight forward find, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Back on the south island as we fly out of Christchurch in a few days . We love this part of the coast and nice to see so many new ones since our last visit, plus the new roads which were being repaired last time. This was a quick find once the car load of tourists had moved on.TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
We stopped for a photo op and was pleasantly surprised that there was a cache to be found. My first on the South Island. TFTC

A short stop on our way North on a rainy overcast day - log signed - thanks for thecache
We pulled up and cache was in plain view. Did a quick sign and put back with further cover. TFTC
Heading south for a spot of work. Great stopping place, tonnes of room to swing the trailer round.
Another trip to Christchurch but as the appointment isn't until tomorrow morning we had a leisurely trip down. Timed our stop here to arrive for lunch and after eating, the few cars that had been here had left. Went and grabbed the other cache first then collected this on the way out of the carpark. tftc

A nice big pull over area for the campervan, which always makes life much easier.
Pretty obvious where the cache was hidden, so a super quick find.

Having missed this cache on our last visit due to road works, enjoyed making the find this time. Log signed and cache hidden as before. All safe and dry. Thanks for the reason for stopping.
Finally got this one! Every time we come past there has been a vehicle parked right next to it. Quick find, TFTC
After parking the snail shell up in Kaikoura it was time to visit all those caches I saw on the way south and couldn't stop at.
This is a big safe area.

Off on a road trip to Chch for the weekend. With limited time and raining on and off. We still managed to get in a bit of caching along the way. Down the East cost and back up the West cost was the plan but stormy weather put a stop to that. With no roads open to get home on we stopped in Kaikoura for an unplanned extra night. So thank you for for the caches you placed out there for us to find we had fun and frustration finding them along the way. Looking forward to the next trip to find the ones we missed. Apologies for the cut and paste.
Staying in Kaikoura for Easter and decided to go collect a few caches on the road North toward Clarence River. Nice quick find. TFTC
Quick park and grab in this safe stopping point on our way to Christchurch. Thanks GH6710 for the cache.
Cool stopping area with little traffic. Not too hard to find, so very glad! TFTC
A nice quick find here. Such a beautiful place to drive along and a good idea to make these designated safe spots. TFTC.
Time to head back to a 50th overnight party in our home town Christchurch. This was found with my wife on day seven of our eight day holiday in Marlborough based at Picton.
We're on our way back home to Christchurch with a few stops. This was one of them. I took the tb and will move it on.
JDScout and I are spending a week in Picton. We have spent this week exploring Marlborough and finding a few geocaches. Thanks GH6710 for creating this hide. It was find 9526 for me.

Found with NZDi. The weather in Blenheim was supposed to be unbearable today, so NZDi told me t prepare some targets in a cooler part of the country. Kaikoura was supposed to be 10 to 12 degrees cooler but not unbearably cold, so we headed that way for the day. I sorted out a couple of pocket queries for around Kaikoura and the route there and came up with 101 targets. We manage to get 23 of them plus five if you count the lab cache we got to. Not our best day out, but nothing to be sneezed at either. Some logs were dated and signed in full, but to preserve space most were dated and signed KM & ND.
This one was our first find of the day and a QEF PnG. We didn't find the 'Fur unser Baby' TB that was supposed to be in the cache, but we took the opportunity to drop 'Nammer the Tiger' which we had been carrying around for a while.
When doing my research for todays caches, I thought there was another cache nearby, but it didn't show up in my pocket query. Later on when we got mobile coverage, I checked again and there it was, so we saved it for the return trip and it turned out to be our final cache of the day.
TFTC GH6710, hope you're enjoying Lake Argyle

Pulled over to eat lunch as was I stick of following slow traffic. As I waited for the explorers to return I checked the app and found we were parked right next to your cache. Quick find, sorry I didn't have my trade bag with me to add anything to the container.
Thanks for the hide.

Nice stop just in sight of my next stop - going to have a solid morning tea. Tftc!
Safe spot for a leg stretch as well as we head to Christchurch for a few days.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Easy find! Best approached after 5pm when the workers have knocked off. Just a wee warning though, this sign won’t be here forever.
