Logs
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi TheOtherPhotoGuy
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

No luck for us today. The hay bales made it hard to get in. Sent a kid into the gaps but couldn't find it.
To corroborate the DNF, it looks like the cache site (or what I believe is the site) is now quite tightly surrounded by hay bales. Might be a harder grab with them in the way.
I didn't have any excuses today Had the place to myself for more than 10 minutes but could not turn up the goods
There's been quite a good tidy up around here Perhaps please the CO could confirm the cache is still in place? Thanks anyway

I had hoped to have another go at this while in the area, but unfortunately there was too much activity near GZ.
An excavator was working in the parking area and a light truck (possibly owned by the operator) was parked right next to GZ with its doors open so I would have looked dodgy hunting around near it.

Found this container a little tricky to open, but my key helped me in the end. What a mighty tree this once was!
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located.*
ww9 found this one while I looked in all the wrong places!
Container and log in good condition.

Unfortunately this eluded us even with three pairs of eyes (CrystalFairy, MycroMan and myself) looking.
After reading all the logs and even a PAF we called this one a DNF. There are lots of big tree trucks at the location. There were a good 15 hay bales there as well as 2 barking dogs from next door. Will wait to see if there is another find before re-attempting. Did with RobNZH and MycroMan.
A delightful time travelling around these back roads to pleasant spots dropped of a donkey Tb to join the horses TFTC
Three of us had a reasonable look for this one but it got a bit messy so we retreated, defeated until the next time. We had cycled over from Makara and it was a lovely ride, a great day to be out and about. TFTC
TFTC. Took a wee while to find but then hubby spotted it. Had to be careful of muggles
Climbed all over the hay bales and logs, but we couldn't find anything but a lot of trash.
Back to the valley tonight to find another cache. A tad hard to get to the GZ as there are huge bales close by but I did get around them and spotted something reflect in the torchlight. TFTC
An easy find after I'd clarified that I was in the right place by reading the logs. There was nobody about when I visited which made things easier.

Out and about today chasing the jewels for the Mystery at the Museum challenge, scored my second sapphire here. TFTC
On the way to Mt Kaukau with my son. Happy days. Well equipped cache. Swapped an item
Too many people about to allow a proper search so went away empty handed As a previous log this one looks like it is on private property Perhaps the CO could comment on this point just to clarify please I'll be back at some time
Hi there, just a note to clarify this cache is near to the road on land designated council road reserve albeit it appears to be private land. This being said it is acknowledged that the driveway and convenient carparking is on the property of the Wellington indoor riding school however this general area where the cache is to be found is the fringes of the public car park. Very unlikely to be challenged and mentioning the CO @theotherphotoguy if you are questioned will satisfy any friendly curious muggles.
Had some spare time this morning, and it was my birthday, so I went off geocaching by myself! This one was on private property and there were muggles working right there so I turned around and drove back out. Perhaps another day. Thanks for the cache. Rodney.
Found and signed with Gilgul just as class had finished, before going to cafe for a coffee.
Luckily the few muggles around were otherwise occupied which let Selesi and I score this cache. Going to the cafe afterwards was necessary too. TFTC
#6549. I was sitting at home after dinner on Monday night and thinking I should head out to grab a few caches as my daily tally was only 4 and I am trying to boost all my calendar dates up to at least 10 in the next year or so. Was heading for the door when the phone rang and it was my sister. After the call I was debating if I had enough time left to fit this in before dark but decided to head out anyway and grabbed a torch. This is certainly a tricky intersection with limited places to park off the road. Luckily where I decided to park proved to be next to the cache. Still took a few minutes to spot as it wasn't in first few places checked and the hint and previous logs made me think it was a different type of hide. But eventually found it. Yes quite an unusual container. Signed the nicely presented logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks TheOtherPhotoGuy for the cache. Nice new series.
Was in Wellington for work today and was trying to work out what cache I was going to go out and find today, having a few caches around the area does make it a lot easier, but sometimes a lot harder.
In the end I decided that I might as well go out to the Ohariu Valley and pick up the final cache out there so that at least I will have cleared the area again. Having being out here more times than I can remember it really didnt take too long to drive out to GZ.
Arriving at GZ, the area was clear off muggles so I had the place to myself, I even managed to find a safe parking spot for the car within 5 metres of GZ. As I made my way to GZ, I decided to read the hint and thought to myself well that is going to help a lot [:o)], NOT. There was quite a few of these within a few metres of me, you might as well be looking for a needle in a haystack with a hint like this [xx(].
I decided to trust my GPSr and it pointed me to a spot that wasnt too far away, upon closer inspection, I soon spotted something and soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks kaurigirl for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (14137).
Now it is time to go back to the car and go to the RJ factory shop before making my way home.....

#10,616. A park and grab in Ohariu, Wellington. Fortunately GZ was pretty quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search. Nice container. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside.

I parked up in the car park wondering if that was okay, then as I was assessing the co-ord & GZ Mrs TheOtherPhotoGuy muggled me while she was gardening. I checked the log and found one wee extra clue and had the cache to hand soon after. The co-ords are a few meter off (they were pointing to 11m into the next section) but otherwise all is good. +TB TFTC
I came by this evening to check out the three new caches (and saving the other two for another day). Was able to park right next to the GZ and the area was quiet. A little searching and I found something relating to the area, but pulling back it revealed the container. Certainly very sturdy and not a type I've seen before. Signed the log and retrieved the muchly-long missing trackable. All good here. TFTC
Called here this morning, found the cache after a short search. I was able to park the vehicle so that my activities were at least partly shielded from people in a parked car a little way away. Nice container, I don't think I have seen one exactly like that before. A big step up on the standard sistema ones that so many caches use. Signed log, TFTC
I was just about to decide what to do for lunch today when I saw this new cache appear - which made the decision for me. Made my way out to the applicable road as fast as the speed limits would allow, enjoying the calm and peaceful surroundings, only to find I was not the first to arrive. A few minutes looking around the multiple hint objects until I head the sound of 'you can stop looking now'. A nice clean and shiny new cache had been found.
An FTF with YetiNZ. I got there just ahead of him. I over thought this one a bit, and was looking for something that it wasn't. Completely missed it on the first look, but spotted it quickly on the second pass. Too much Adrenalin pumping perhaps. Pretty nice container too. Cheers and TFTC
Cache # 4,688 - STF with Astro Hunter. Knew the FTF was gone, but it was still a nice day and such a better excuse to come here than once again drive over to Upper Hutt. Cache found almost immediately - a very nice container indeed. 3:30 ish was not the optimal time, as lots of people were arriving at the nearby building for their afternoon adventures. Fortunately we were able to retrieve and replace cache without anyone taking notice of us. Left a trackable, as I am sure lots of others will be by soon to move it along. TFTC!

A second to find with The Wandering Dragons. We had barely begun the search (literally, 20 seconds) when they yelled out found it. Nice box, and lots of goodies. Swapped some swag. Thanks!
