I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi carrollfamilynz

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Reporoa Girl Guides undertook a Geocaching Road Trip for their year end meeting. Lots of fun exploring their backyard and learning about Geocaching.

We decided not to go up the track with the girls as this is the exit for the downhill mountain bike track from the top of Rainbow Mountain.

There's a lot of vegetation, not easy to look for it
Plus it's supposedly a bike only trail

We left Jag50's son soaking his aching muscles in the warm water over the road and went looking for this cache. Thanks for bringing us to a cool spot, we found Kerosene Creek at it's best as we arrived early enough to avoid the tourists so it was very serene and surreal in the early morning mist. FP given

While our son was enjoying the warm water at nearby Kerosene Creek and relaxing after running the Rotorua marathon, we joined Merlot58 to find this cache. The big cache was soon spotted. FP awarded to bringing us to this fabulous place. We were glad to be driving away when we did, as a mini-bus of young tourists was just arriving for a dip in the thermal waters.

Smile

Decided we had had enough of house and garden chores and needed a break. These new caches were a good reason. Mrs S went off to do this one while Mr S babysat the camper as there was zero parking at the trail head, there were so many muggles parked. Knowing the reputation of the place we were reluctant to leave the camper on it's own. Mrs S set off, confidently and soon realised she was heading the wrong way so backtracked to the correct path and arrived at GZ at the same time as four muggles coming the other way. Waited for them to pass by then began the hunt. Several hint items and lots of blackberry scratches later she made the find, easy when you're looking the right way. Lol. Mr S must have been getting concerned because he met Mrs S at the beginning of the track. That road to Kerosene Creek needs a bit of work, it's more potholes than road. Quite a bone shaking ride.

Thanks carrollfamilynz. That cleans up Rotorua again. We go away for a few days and half a dozen new caches pop up.

After a dip in the creek i had a look at this big "box". A visitor from Switzerland t4tc!

Found with the kids and dog...

My niece asked if she could stay the night, and it was a good excuse to get out of the house for a cache ride... The carpark was fairly busy, and a large group of bathers were busily getting dressed/undressed... We parked close to the track and hurried off before we were noticed. The blackberry seems to be out of control in here. We wonder if this track gets many visitors these days? We had a couple of prods behind various hint items, before spotting the container. TFTC.

It was time to assemble Team BOP as I hadn't seen these crazy people since the Mega. The plan was Taranaki via the Forgotten World Highway and we were all pretty excited about it. It was a big couple of days so forgive the cut'n'paste logs as I'm logging retrospectively and a few of the hides are blurring together. TNXPro, McJandals, Davidson Clan & myself signed our logs individually or as TEAM BOP depending on time, log space or mood.

I hadn't thought we'd be on a [FTF] hunt as our first cache of the day but here we are. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. I highly recommend cachers find this one promptly as the black berry is only getting worse Smile Cheers carrollfamilynz, TFTC Smile

Found using Cachly app and logged using the text template, so please excuse generic logging in advance. On a spur of the moment roadie with Phillip.Perry, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan from the Bay of Plenty, a plan was hatched and here we are. Great to have these places to visit and many thanks to all you COs for the placements. Cheers for the {FTF} was surprised this was still up for grabs.

734am joint (FTF) with Tnxpro McJandals and Philip.perry.

19-Jan-19
TeamBOP have come together again for a trip to the Naki.
Just a little bit of a detour for this {FTF} before we set off west.
Have never been in here before, so might be worth another trip sometime to explore further.
Found the large cache easily, but beware of the dreaded blackberry vines.
Thanks for bringing me here.
