Today was the day I was aiming to achieve three things 1000 caches in 2024, 7000 caches all up and 200 caches in a day (my previous record was 121). Easily achieved all three in 13 hours between 06:00 and 19:00. Was a glorious spring day on the back roads around Yass. Most logs signed TE5 30/9 to save time.Another on this busy road but another park and grab.TFTC Tankengine
Reperio 09:02Day 6 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I today travelled from just outside of the ACT to home in Orange. With a number of caches left to do around Murrumbateman and Yass, we stopped by a few in this area before taking an extended route back home to Orange. Our final day was another fantastic day of caching, with very few caches that went unfound. Gratias TankengineAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out late morning. What fantastic weather for another run around Yass. Mr Felix came across a sleeping possum in a fence post today, who did not want to give up the cache. Another good day.TFTC Tankengine
Out caching today with friends. 4 of us having a fun time each trying to be the first to get a hold of the cache. We signed as team JARS to save log room. Joojoo57, Aussie Liahona, RichmondLad and Selva Girls. Many thanks to all the COs who hid the caches we found today for ensuring this was a great caching day while we were attending the MEGA.Cheers and happy caching!
A day out caching west of Murrumbateman saw Team JAR finding quite a few caches but leaving the high climbs etc to the more able cachers. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find and admire the lovely countryside.
A day out with jojoo57, AussieLiahona, and Richmond Lad. I enjoyed being a passenger in a geomobile for a change. Log signed, cache returned to its spot and we continued on our way. Caches signed as JARS. TFTC.
Out and about caching today with jojoo57, AussieLiahona, Selva Girls and myself. Cache signed as JARS. Enjoyed the countryside while finding the caches. Log signed and cache placed back where found. TFTC.
Find # 10531Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases This was a quick and easy find and here at Cooma Cottage today while out with the CO. Thanks so much for the many caches Tankengine and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
I've driven past here many times but today I remembered to stop and enjoy the quick find on offer. The cottage was closed today but still looks impressive even from here! Thanks, Tankengine.
On our way north with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
Day two traveling between Jugiong and Canberra doing some odd caches.
The cottage was closed for winter, reopening in September.
Made it easy to find the cache!
Thanks, Robmc.

I was travelling along this road on my trip and saw that there was a cache nearby so parked the car and headed over. No hint, grrr, but spotted a likely hide and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced it all as found. Then it was back to the car and onward. Tftc
Was able to stop and pin a few down along this stretch of road this afternoon. TFTC!
Found It!

I love the interesting places that geocaching takes me to. Last time I came though here Yass was almost a caching desert. Now there are so many caches here it’s wonderful. But you do find yourself without the time to explore interesting finds, such as this one, found with feathertop.
Thanks Tankengine for the cache, and for bringing us to this spot.
Thanks Tankengine for the cache, and for bringing us to this spot.
The afternoon was spent south of Yass. Some Yass Valley Hwy caches and then some Dog trap Rd caches as the road was bitumen, important in these flood ravaged times, though beware of potholes! An afternoon of animals, frogs, sausages and dragonstones.
Logging with Cybergran on Day 3 of our Yass and environs adventure.
Thanks Tankengine for this nice easy one!

On a nice winters day with a cold breeze in the air me and IamCoust did a geocaching run around Yass and Murrambateman, driving on quiet unsealed roads picking up parts of the snake and lizard series which dot the landscape out here. Most caches were easy to find so it was mainly a numbers game which was both pleasing and tiring at the same time.
Some caches we considered very near peoples properties so it was a quick get in, get out before being spotted or interrogated. Overall a very enjoyable day. TFTC

Another nice quick find.
When the weather for today was predicted to be cold, windy with showers we decided to stay close to town and pick up some caches in the immediate area.
Some good hides and tough ones resulting in a couple of favourite awarded and a couple of DNFs was the result.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Tankengine.

Happy New Year.
After a shocking 2020 and glad to see the back of it, allrounder and I decided to head out for a cache drive to start 2021 off.
After being down and turning around on Wee Jasper Road we decided to head back in the direction of home via Dog Trap Road.
allrounder read the description out for this one which I found interesting.

Found on a caching expedition out to Yass with sebass19: from 9:30am to 7pm, 51 caches! Pulled up here on our way out of town for a quick and easy find at GZ. The cottage looked cool from what we could see from the road! TNLNSL. TFTC TE!
Popped up at the end of the Dragonstone run, so just time to pick it up before lunch. TFTC Tankengine.
Have just put in a swap for the most delightful treasure - the first for months. I says 'smile' so that makes two smiley faces for this one cache. Always loved visiting the sculptures and walking in the property when they were on. So clever. TFTC
Day out in Gundaroo, Murrumbateman and Yass. Achieved around 90 finds for the day. Roads were busy around lunchtime, quietened down into the evening. Signed and replaced cache. Thanks heaps for all the caches in the area.
I went out with Black Bunny for a weekend of caching, but we only found 3 before the rain put him off - it turns out that bunnies like to keep their coats dry.
A quick find with Just a cacher on a wet Saturday drive.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
We stopped for this one as we arrived in Yass for a short visit. Nice easy find too! Thanks Tankengine
While still based at Yass we meandered around different localities finding caches. Yours was one we targetted and found. Our thanks to Tankengine for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Cache 5615 on 11 Jan 2020.
Out on a Saturday morning cache crawl to Yass with TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox. It was a nice surprise to arrive in Yass to see it virtually smoke free - a change from Canberra. We looked for and found all caches attempted. I got 13 caches for the morning, more than I was expecting or needing for my stats. A fun morning out with my buddies!
This cache: an interesting cache and hide from TE!
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!

Out and about with AngelG27 and TikvaNZ, caching around Yass. Third TE cache for the day and an unusual TE-type hide. TFTC
A normal cache....which is abnormal for TE Quick park and grab. Found during a weekend escape from Canberra. TFTC.
Having already planned a little getaway in Yass for the weekend, staying overnight so we could enjoy a lovely dinner at Clementines, it was interesting to read in the Saturday CBR Times an article by Tim the Yowie Man, about Hamilton Hume's house, Cooma Cottage, so a visit was added to our to-do list. And what with bumping into TankEngine at another Yass cache, we just had to also pick up this one as part of the experience. The $10 cost to view the home is certainly worth it, with a very knowledgeable guide, giving extra insights. I loved the fact that the home is a "living" museum, with residences, and there are even three rather adorable Clydesdales who utilise the stables. Cache quickly found, and I took the pathtag as I don't have a TE one in my collection.TFTC TankEngine
The cut&paste bit: Doing a big road trip from Central Coast NSW to St Arnaud Mega. On my phone so may be slow to log with the full story or add pics etc....
