Hi there Ms Maddy, we found your cache #1 Don’t Fence Me In today.
Day five touring out from Nanango. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.
Found this one easy, especially compare to the last one.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area today, endin up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Today was to be an easy day heading towards and around Cooyar. Previously downloaded all the caches into the GPRs and started off great, but soon turn to custard. Headed down the side road only to find that they were not in the GPRs.
I can't put into words for this log the look I got from Mrs Snakepitter. Suffice to say 'I told you to get the new GPRs'. was used with some adjectives.
Not to worry, we managed to get enough internet to be able to use our phones and navigate our way around.

Confused just now while logging as when we found this one it was #5 but now seems to be #1. We took this slight detour to visit some caches in the surrounding area.
This was a distinctive spot with the giant nest atop. Luckily found the cache quickly so did not disturb the occupants to trigger an attack.

With a 4 day weekend on the horizon, our dreams of one day collecting SSE, the Gravel Safari series and other caches in this beautiful area finally came to reality. My plans for day 1 were altered at the last minute, but I was very glad to be able to join this wonderful group of geo friends for a fantastic caching adventure from day 2.
This morning we hit the road and headed out to collect some great caches, saw some wonderful buildings, tunnels, trees, animals and had many many laughs.
The cache was found quickly, the log signed Team Grav which consisted of Simber15, chamad, NayFee, Triple Turmoil, Domksy and E_Smiley.
Thanks Ms Maddy for the cache and for showing around this lovely country side.

A plan was formed recently to camp at Oakey over the October long weekend (due to Ekka being postponed) and tackle the art and a number of fun puzzles in the vicinity. The call went out to a few others we enjoy travelling with and the solving began! Lots of back and forth between members and we finally had a full set a few days out from the trip.
The roads were wet and muddy but that isn't going to stop a group of dedicated geocachers on a mission! The rain held off which we were grateful for however chunks of mud were often shaken off shoes before returning to cars and moving on to the next one.
As is always the case when caching with others there were many laughs and a great time had by all. Always a great sense of achievement when you've been working through a project over a number of weeks.
Thankyou for placing and arranging this series for our enjoyment. The fields and flowers were in bloom. Birds a plenty enjoying the roadside water sources. The scenery was refreshing. Always enjoy a taste of the countryside. Logs signed as Team Grav (as in Gravel assault!)

Day two of our Oakey trip and a later start than usual.
We set off just after 9am and hit the trail, ughh.. Road? I don't know what to call it, but we travelled on it. Our main target for the day was the Gravel series than we slowly made our way north than south while collecting a bunch of caches along the way.
I have never ventured out this way before so it was a real eye opener, the towns, the farms, the flowers, the animals, you name it we saw it, well, maybe not everything because I was disappointed I didn't see an elephant, but you get the picture.
We certainly picked the right time of year as the Jacarandas were in full bloom and you wouldn't go through a town without seeing a bunch of them, absolutely stunning, it truely is an amazing tree and you can literally spot them from a mile away.
The team had an absolute blast and we thoroughly enjoyed travelling the open road breathing in the fresh country air, what more could you ask for? Well, a coffee shop perhaps since I went the WHOLE. ENTIRE. DAY without coffee and that is deadly, If i miss my daily caffeine goodness I become a terrible person and do bad things, other than that it was a very memorable day.
Thank you so much for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.

After a couple of days camping out at Carnarvon Gorge and chilling out it was time to return to civilization. Why oh why can I just not stay out in the bush it is so relaxing.
Rather than return on the boring highway route I decided to explore the back roads and check out a few places along the way.
Wow these roads out here are certainly dry and dusty today. The MUX is doing what it was made for along the way.
Seems there are five basic reasons one might need a fence. Coming in at 5 is RESALE . A quality fence with great curb appeal, excellent security and privacy aspects will improve the value of your lot, and if you are looking to market, it can substantially increase the return.
As always make sure you smell the caching s along the way, it is not just another number.

Found after climbing the cliff un-necessarily. Oh well, no harm done. And I got down safely too, without getting out the abseil gear! Added my name to the log and replaced. TFTC, Ms Maddy. After here I drove on through Cooyar, and there were heaps of horses in the showgrounds all fenced in by the look of it.
Road was a little greasy on this day of sporadic showers and we accumulated a nice red mud pack on the wheels which proceeded to spatter its way off again once we returned to the bitumen. Cache was quickly fond and in good condition. TFTC
Grey nomads, we have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Now we having to coped with Corona Virus ..... and social distancing, we are finally free to hit the road, even tho in this instance it is only for two weeks.
Today we are camped at Cooyar RV Camp on our way to Brisbane for the dreaded, but anticipated bi-lateral knee replacement. Also, the big #5000 cache is drawing near now - originally it was to happen at Millicent over Easter, but we all know what happened with that and the rest of caching for a few months.
Quick find, but blink and you could miss it. Thanks Ms Maddy

And of course, there were caches.
Thanks for the cache and sorry for the late log. Sometimes life gets a little hectic

We’re going backwards a bit now collecting a few strays before heading into Cooyar. Thanks for the cache
Fred and Nobby have been taking their new roles in traffic a bit too far. Sargeant Stronginthearm is laid out on the Watch room floor and I think the rest of the guards on duty are too scared to approach the troll who is demanding to have the clamp removed from his foot. I don’t know how many times I’ve told them not to clamp trolls for lingering.
It is time to go caching again and the incentive for this day of fun was to attend an event in Toowoomba at 1200. 24 on my list today starting around the Cooyar area. I have 11 between Nanango and Toowoomba to find then there are have 9 in Toowoomba that I want to tackle and that leaves Mt Peel and three others for another trip. Then there are 4 on the way out to Leyburn for that multi.
Left Nanango at 0545 and arrived at this one at 0635. Driving along this road directly into the sun. After #4 had to turn around and drive back to the highway and continue my trip South. Soon got to the turn off and as I have a hide here got out and checked on it. All good here. Continued on for this hide. Could nearly have been a drive by if not for the recently graded road and the table drain and the small embankment to climb and of course the location of the cache. Quick find all good here. Now to turn around and head to #2.
TFTC Ms Maddy.

So I have spent the day on my back under my car replacing the gearbox and clutch while my amazing Geo-Wife Cass has been slogging away at work for the day... 4pm arrives. I have to go pick her up as we are down to 1 car and I needed it incase I had to duck off and get bits.. arriving at Cass' work... ding.. ding...ding.. published caches!! Few hours of daylight left. We snuck down this way and grabbed a few smilies.. a couple of ftfs and a couple of solved puzzles... a great way to end the day... tftc!
(This one had been discovered by a muggle and pulled free of its keyring and was on the ground. Re-attached it back to hide spot)
