Great idea for a cache. Found the clue and aligned things. Easy find. There is just a wasp starting to build a nest close to GZ.Greetings from Canada.#2373 - Nov 24, 2024TFTC Calypso62
Great fun! So clever. Thank you for a fun hide. And maybe this is my sign to finally watch Outlander!
Found with Gazania Rigens as per her log.Shame that there isnt a plaque on site to explain these architectural fragments flung about on the lawn, nor even a QR code somewhere there to take one to the explanatory website you mention! GR is a SERIOUS Outlander fan, so of course we had to visit! How come Jamie hasnt set up a wee stand hard by selling his whisky and gin?Cache was found fairly quickly in its well-protected little hidey hole. Thanks!
Zouave and I visited the filming location in Scotland and the cache there 2 years ago, so it was fun to see a related cache here in Sydney. We moved to Scotland last year and have been to both the Clava Cairns and the Callanish Stones, which have been an inspiration for the Craigh na Dun circle. The Callanish Stones are not easy to reach, but definitely worth the effort. We were lucky enough to visit on a day when there were only a few visitors and not busloads of cruise ship passengers. We managed to complete the task for this cache and seem to be still in the year 2024. FP and TFTC!
This one had been flummoxed for a while Looked around, felt around, peered around All to no avail. Then I thought the thought I had turned out negative; readjusted my expectations and thought processes, and then taking into consideration the second clue which was cleverly hidden, the cache was quickly in hand!As The Count would say todays episode was brought to you by the numbers. Deserves an FP for creativity !TFTC
Great hide! but a spider got to it before we did log might need replacing in the near future! thanks again!
This is one of my favorite series Very cool to log this one.We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Four ladies from Sweden (Tigertassen, ursus67, Lnganfans, pidjas) are visiting Australia. This day we took a long walk as the days before, more than 15 km. We mostly log as TULP.This was one of the places we visited.A big thank you to the CO for this cache.
One in the team likes Outlander. That's why this one was on our to dolist.D var det dags fr lite ventyr. Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand .On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland
Found a large collection of caches during this overdue trip into the city.Clear instructions and a descriptive hint helped guide me to the cache. I really liked the 'interactive' nature of this offset multicache. Nice point of difference. TFTC
We stumbled on this site on a wander through the gardens, and this multi was intriguing. We found the stones, followed the clues and soon found the box. Great cache, thank you.
We ended up searching for awhile on this one almost logged a DNS but we found someone who knew about the occasion so we teamed up with him.
Thankfully I had found the predecessor here before making this an easy find. A nice morning with Jomingara and sharanyaExpress exploring the botanical gardens without many people around!
Found thanks to the geocoach.Sharanyaexpress and I had never seen this artwork. Soon after the find, we discovered that Government House was open to visitors. We had no idea about this!
Murkel and me visited Sydney today. We made a nice walk around and found this spot. After reading the listing we went to a place, where we found the box quickly. Thanks for the cache
Dnf this one, but granted I didn't spend too long looking and may have been in thr wrong spot
I swear I have done this one before. Maybe not the figuring out part, but definitely been to GZ. Oh well, Omar least I have done the working out part, which is a satisfying feeling. Tftc.
Reperio 15:46Day 3 of our 5 day visit to Sydney for a nursing conference, and my muggle friend and I took some time away from proceedings to explore the city and find some caches. At the time of logging, I am currently watching Outlander, and being a big fan of the show, I had to come and visit this cache. Loved the process of finding the cache, and so did my muggle partner in crime.Gratias Calypso62As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
took a little more wandering around then i would like to admit. found the necessary pieces but struggled with the log. got there eventually hahaTFTC!
Nice sunny wintertime midweek geo-outing with Graubunden. And its my multi of the day. Just celebrated 1800th GC find at the Opera House and this is the next one. Patience paid off, searching all potential possibilities. TFTC Calypso62
SurdiVisio had found it after me. I had struggled to find it. Finally got it. A good clue. Thank you
Had some help from the group for this one! We needed the line, but there wasn't a sign which confused us. Thanks!
Cool gefunden! Einen schnen Abschlu fr einen tollen Tag!vielen lieben Dank fr dieses Versteck sagt KaMiAn83gesucht und gefunden mit Chessking10translated by Deepl:Ka's strength is waning noticeably. An ice cream for refreshment and then we tackle this cache. The stones are quickly identified, but how do we find the can?Ka uses the stones as a sofa and then comes the epiphany! Right bearings and off we go... Cool find! A nice end to a great day!Thank you very much for this hiding place says KaMiAn83searched and found with Chessking10
Day 17 of my interstate trip. Today I stayed in the Sydney area got the train into the City Center and made my way on foot checking out the sites and grabbing a few caches along the way. I managed to find 12 caches and 1 Event today and no DNF's.Should have went with my first thought but spent time checking other places first. Great different cache idea.TFTC Calypso62
When I first read the description for this cache, I was a little puzzled but then the penny dropped. I like it! Very different and fun too! And an interesting location although I always end up a little confused with artwork that isn't straightforward in interpretation....A favorite point because I really enjoyed this different geocache! Thanks for find #6231TNLN
Flying visit to Sydney whilst traveling around Australia. Couldnt miss the opportunity to look for a Calypso62 cache and what a beauty this was. It took a bit of head scratching before the coin dropped and then we were off to find it. Found in the second place we checked. Great cache - favourite point. Greetings from the Lake District UK!
Found the stones easy enough but finding the cache was another story. In the end had to PAF. TFTC
Awesome cache here! This was my goal find for the day, but I got sidetracked and found a bunch of others first. I love creative, non number based multis like this. TFTC, FP!
I was intrigued by the cache description. As an Outlander fan, I knew I had to give this one a shot. It took me a minute, but I was able to find the final in the end. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had just completed my goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. I arrived in Sydney five days ago as the last stop before heading home. I was sad that my adventure was coming to an end, but I was looking forward to spending one more day exploring Sydney before leaving. I walked a lot of steps, found a lot of caches, and was particularly happy to finish the cache I started in the pouring down rain. It was a fabulous final day ending with some amazing ramen at Gumshara in Chinatown. I'll miss Australia when I leave tomorrow. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but I do appreciate you.
This is one of our favourite shows so we couldn't walk past without dances through the stones to the nicely hidden cache. ??
Awesome. Took a little bit of financing to find the cache but we found it.100 fav points Tftc
Out and about again, headed over to Sydney early in the morning, grabbed a hire car and got some local hides before driving to Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14168, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to Calypso62 for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Cockburn Crew on tour to the Canberra Mega. Day 1 involved a bunch of caching around Sydney before making our way to Canberra for the Capital Geobash. We found a huge variety of caches, and its great to cache in new territory that we havent explored much in the past. Unlike our home state of Western Australia where we have found just about anything and everything.A beautiful day with great weather and even better company. Thank you to the local COs for a great day in and around this great country of ours.
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra on Good Friday, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. Todays plan was to head to the inner west to knock off a few LGAs and undertake a cleanup of CBD caches, before shooting off to catch up with friends in the evening in North Sydney. I eyed off a few caches and LGAs to clean up in the process. If youre receiving this log, the chances are that todays mission was a success. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers Calypso62! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
Lots of fun! Found after attending a nearby event. In Sydney for a few days before heading to Canberra for the Capital Geobash. Today was all about catching public transport to pick up new LGAs.Calypso62, I found Outlander - Sydney's Craigh na Dun today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Have not watched Outlander, but found the cache with the excellent hint.Again: an amazing location and the beautiful sculpture Memory is Creation without End.TFTC
Such a cool idea , had to read the second hint twice three times, and even contacted a friend, but alas had the cache found (and some very dead wasps or hornets)Sydney and its great caches , really memorable Tftc
Oh, what a coincidence: am reading the outlander books right now Ill check this cache out tomorrow
Very nice indeed. Had us puzzled for a few moments but then the penny dropped. Thanks for bringing us to this spot and TFTC. All good at GZ. Gets a favorite from me.
We arrived at the rocks and found the 3 we needed quickly. Then we did what we figured was required. We had one idea, but that didn't work with the hint. We tired the other and that seemed to make sense. We headed over and there was the cache. That worked really well. Thanks for the fun multi!
OMG how cool! This is a great place and we loved the art! The story is my hubbys favorite and he was so excited to find this cache! There is a hornets nest, so be careful.
I had an idea how this would work and luckily I wasRight: great idea ! Didnt see the hornets have a fave ! TFTC!
It seems to be a multi kind of day today, after finishing of the highly regarded at the governers pleasure multi cache, I thought I'd come over here quickly and attempt this one, it was a quick find, the cache was well camouflaged, but there was no trackable in this cache.
**XX** MMMMMMMCMXLIX: Our first full day in Sydney. I had no issues lining up the photos and locating the cache. Unique concept. TFTC

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.Today, after my event in botanic parc, we visit the opera. It is beautifull. We are very enjoy by this visit. We are lucky, we were sheltered in the opera house at the start of the storm. We were well watered in the afternoon for the rest of our visits. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Greetings from Ireland Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Found with Blue Jay while on our stay in Sydney before heading to New Zealand. Blue Jay loved watching the series. TFTC. Toffee Man.
Took us awhile to figure out where we were supposed to go and what level we got there. TFTC
Found with Viking Chris. Greetings from Carl Junction Missouri. I helped Viking Chris line up the rocks to find the prize. First Multi cache find in Australia. TFTC
Very quick find as we are exploring Sydney. Greetings from Kyle Junction, Missouri in the heart of the United States of America. Found with Seth dragon hunter. As we try to find quick fines with a semi understanding, Muggle wife cashing early as it supposed to be a hot one today, thanks for the geocache. Cheers.
I have always been fascinated by this spot , since I came here many years ago with this very same Co for international geocaching day , interestingly I walked across the bridge that day too. A very cool cache. Took me a minute to work out what to do, then a bit of a stretch and I took the cache to some shade to log, thanks for the cache fav point for the cool spot. Tnln replaced as found sl
A fun multi which took us to the correct spot but we failed to find it first time. On a second scout Mr S put his hand straight in it. Tftc
wow, what a unique location! ??having never heard of outlander before, i was intrigued and amused by the romantic tale as well as a little confused. so i thought i'd just go and have a look at the pub coords to see if i could figure stuff out.i love the park nearby and was having a great time admiring the topiary and exotic flora when i happened suddenly upon the pub coords. wowee, i'd never have expected to find that here!i half felt like i'd been transported to ancient rome or contstantinople with what i roamed amongst.a short time later, grin ear to ear i was signing the logbook. an easy favourite here for a multi that's a bit different to the usual multi and a cracker of a hint. ??it seems only fitting to log such a unique multi with an equally unique find count. this is my total find number 4666. ...and multi number 189. or thereabouts. ??thankyou so much Calypso62 for creating something memorable in downtown sydneytown.
A perfect day for a stroll from our accomodation to pick up some caches and take in some sights. Many thanks Calypso62 for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures. This will be my 6872 find.
Out with geotrakka for an Australian tour following Sparks. Hello from Perth. TFTCThanks Calypso62 for the new smiley!
