We're over in Churchill collecting a few geocaches to help with the current souvenir challenge. Once I'd battled though the undergrowth, I easily spotted the container here which was lucky because I don't think my phone GPS would have worked underneath the trees today. Thanks for find #6367TNLN
After a day in the valley, it was time for some caches. Another cache part of the LV event series and our last one for today. Cache was found, the log was signed, and we were on our way back home. TFTC SKI Pair#130
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 117I finally attempted the Winston Wander and The LV event series that I had heard so much about, and it did not disappoint. I loved the variety of different containers and camouflage methods used. Most of the GZs were deserted due to the school holidays, but there were still a few muggles to deal with. Cheers for the cache

Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches.A nice ride around on a mild day.Walked past this one a couple of times before I spotted it.Nice hide. Thanks, Robmc.
On a sneaky midweek getaway we stopped to grab a couple of caches, as we scurried through the trees I spotted the cache by luck and had it quickly in hand, thanks for placing it
Tftc Ski Pair. Another 45 or so minutes free to spend caching while grandkid at the Leisure Centre playing volleyball. After last week's 5 of 5, this week it was 4 of 4 inc. 2 with said grandkid afterwards.
Took a bit of finding this one, cache and log in good condition.

Hi there SKI Pair, we found your cache LV Event: Bushed today.
We’re staying in Churchill for a while before heading to the “big smoke” so Penny can get a new knee.
A nice, quick, find while touring around the area close to where we are camped. This one took a while to find.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: We replaced the soggy log sheet.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Catching up on old logs. Found some time ago initiating a muggle friend into caching. The log sheet was soggy and wet. Can see it’s now been replaced
Out on a maintenance run today after returning from travel.
Dried out container and waterproof paper holding up well.

Bit of a tricky one but got there in the end. Someone has forgotten to put to logbook back into the zip lock bag so it was drenched. Managed to write in it but needs replacing. TFTC Kusi 3, Spencer 1
This took me a little while to find; I eventually stumbled across the camo-clad container, but it was a little tricky to extract and replace owing to the surroundings expanding from the moisture. Logbook is still a little damp but in good enough shape. TFTC!
Made our way to the Valley today for a caching day out. Overshot the cache so ended up walking back. Caching with a previous finder who after briefly waiting in the car came to help but I had already had the cache in hand.
Thanks Ski Pair

Quick easy drive by find, logbook has gotten a bit damp but still usable. Tftc.
It was so nice to be out caching solo - I finally felt like I could do these drive-bys without kids demanding to get out of the car. TFTC SKI Pair
At a job in Traralgon and knew I would be finished at 1pm so I asked my niece if she wanted to go Geocaching as we haven’t done any caches since COVID started back in March.
Quick find stamped log thanks for the cache.

Late logging a run of these caches we had found last month, on a roll that day and this was also a quick grab and go! Tftc
It's been a while but got out and about today with the bestie to log some caches. A quick zip into the bush to log this one. Tyftc
A lawn mowing muggle across the road was keeping an eye on us so a little more difficult to be stealthy. Tftc
We are enjoying a long awaited caching weekend away. Our research suggest there were some pretty good caches down this way. Today the plan was to hit up Churchill. These caches led us nicely into town. Thanks for showing the way. Tftc
A quick find in good condition. The dogs next door are certainly good watchdogs. Tftc
Passed by this a hide a few times before I finally saw it. I put the log in a plastic bag and added a few small swaps.
Took a couple of minutes to find the correct angle.
Then it was easy to spot.
Out caching with Sharon14
Thank you for the hide SKI Pair

Another easy find for the geokids, a great reason why this is such a great family activity.
Dropped off a trackable here for the next person to move along on its journey.

Was around the area so l thought l should finish the series found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
Took the drive to Churchill today to see if we could lessen the number of unfound caches we had there. After 3 hours, we had put a big dent in the numbers and converted them to smiley faces. Not one DNF today from all we found, which we're happy with.
Thanks to the CO for this placement.

Had a spare hour after work.
I decided to go and find some local caches.
A quick find was made and the log book was duly signed.

Yay - found Bushed this afternoon . Now this one took a bit of searching to find. My phone was bouncing around a bit at this one. I eventually managed to find GZ and was quite surprised at how easy it was to see it! The small camo container is working a treat - it's not easy to spot .

With a morning of freedom I decided to find as many of this series as I could and, to show my true dedication, I did it straight after a gym workout, in rain showers and 14 degrees!
After the weird muggle spotted at the last cache I was sure to park well off the road here and good thing too. A few minutes after I got there the dodgy bugger could be heard approaching then roaring past clocking God knows what speed. Meanwhile the bush had me hidden by then as I wandered all the likely spots. Finally went back for the GPS (which was zero use in the current weather) then wandered back in only to look up and go 'oh!' There it was! TFTC

Ok, I was certainly "bushed" on this one. It took at least 10 minutes and I felt like one of Strzeleki's exploration party! That was until I went back to the geo-truck and had clearer reception on the phone and found it was a lot closer (kilometres!) than indicated.
Thank goodness it was then a much easier find.
Thanks SKI Pair - I think?
... now where did that snake bite me?

We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive bys. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
This mini series was definitely on our list of caches to look for today and we enjoyed picking them all up on some nice country roads.
Thanks SKI Pair for the cache.

This was a well camouflaged cache. The dog across the road wasn’t very happy to hear foraging around in the bush. Thanks for the cache.
Found after attending the LV event today. Quite a few spots the cache could be out here, but nice accurate co-ords soon had us signing the logbook. The dog over the road was half-heartedly barking at us, so we were glad to get back on the road again before he dobbed us in good and proper. TFTC
