Last day in Tasmania after cycling around the island, s out early to get a few caches before heading to the ferry later this afternoon.Spotted after a short search. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding and enabling me to continue my hobby.
Hi 2y'stassies. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5243 and I found it on Saturday 26 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Thanks 2y'stassies for placing MTM - Bass Strait. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 23 Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2186 and was found on 26/10/2024 at 13:33FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81

Tasmania Trip Day 3. I was really happy to make the overnight crossing to Tasmania without any issues at all. The slight rolling did not even tip me out of bed. Getting up in time to disembark around 5.45 am was the only challenge, but I did get to visit two caches in the dark before breakfast. I spent quite a bit of the morning caching around Devonport and along he waterfront before circling out a bit to find the four counties on offer before I started along to Burnie, which was a lot closer than I realised. I visited a few interesting locations and then got set up at my accommodation in Burnie. It is supposed to be a heat wave, but it seems pretty cool here to me.I was doing more labs at this stage and as other caches popped up along the way I stopped to have a look. Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies45803.9 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Wangaratta Event Purpe Eartag A#525**Albida**

A temporary replacement cache has been put in place, It is a micro (bison tube) as there was no suitable hide for a small cache. The coordinates and hint have been updated.
As mentioned by tassietan, the tree in which the cachec was hidden has been severely mauled by council workers - totally justified given the extent of rot. We will look for another location for this cache. Hopefully it will be in place very soon. Thanks tassietan for alerting us to the issue.
I am visiting friends in Devonport and decided to have a walk along the foreshore on this side of the river this morning. Looked for this cache but only found a demolition site with workmans orange hazard fencing at GZ. As I wasnt really planning to cache, I only had my phone which has a dreadful GPS so may have been at the wrong place, but briefly checked a few other possible spots with no luck. Have sent a photo of GZ to COs. No doubt they will let me know if my geo senses were way off.
On my walk up to the bluff, I passed by here and so I had to stop and have a look.Found quickly and then had my whole arm in there to get it out. The things we do for geocaches.Good fun. Thank you 2y'stassies for hiding a cache in this cool park.Great name by the way.
Back today with gloves for a quick find after staggering my way around the Parkrun, it would seem someone has used this spot as a loo, thankfully though the cache has escaped the loo business. Back to Jim for a hand sanitize. TFTC

Walking back after completing the AL. Last one for the day, wazza9 quickly found it, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO.
No problems with this one as I took in the view, the cut grass and the nearby sea. T4tc
A group of 11 of us from New Zealand have come over to cache in Tasmania, stayed at Hadley Orient Hotel in Hobart for 3 nights. Now staying at Launceston. This is our 6th day here. G-2 is the nominated driver and Pagenz (our tour director) and me are in our rental.
Pagenz sorted this for us while me and that G-2 character dealt with a virtual and another trad. Bass Strait is looking very calm today, but I know it has taken lives especially in the Sydney-Hobart races.
