I think someone has placed a new throw down cache here. I logged the one in a ziplock bag, and as I was placing it back up in the tree I found the real cache a very nice hanging micro! You might need to come remove the larger container CO. TFTC

Reperio 12:41Day 2 of our tour of Tamworth caching trip, and Master Vitruvius and I decided to head out towards Hillgrove and Wollomombi. With lots of drive by caches, most the finds were nice and quick, with a few nicely crafted caches thrown into the mix. The most pleasingly part of the day was that nearly all the caches were available and found.Found this one on the ground. Replaced the cache according to the hint.Gratias ALFIE77JC1As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Making our way up to Queensland to visit relatives we stopped for a few days in a number of towns and could not go past collecting a few caches to the detriment of the muggle other half who had no interest and frowned when Mr Blackaddder spent too much time searching for plastic boxes. All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.A quick trip up to have a look around a relatives previous residence the prize was soon spotted. Accesing the log was more difficult but successful. Signed and returned as found.Thank you for the cache ALFIE77JC1 Find Number 10728 on 15/04/2024

It is going be a good day out and about geocaching. I been as far South as I need to go and found enough caches to suit a certain challenge cache in Brisbane. Big GrinSo, I am heading North again. Our route today, Tamworth to the coast, along with the amazing changes in elevation, there were many "stretch the legs" stops for caches such as this. Just a warning with this one, there are wasp nests nearby (that look like bison tubes) and they bite.

Thanks to ALFIE77JC1 for adding this cache to the gameboard.

A short cache outing south of Bendy. In particular going for a FTF and a number of Moonbie caches. Quite successful, most caches found with one DNF and a few GAs which weren't there anymore.

Quick find, nice cache container never seen one like that before, all in good order.

Thank you ALFIE77JC1 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

So sorry to report a DNF here as the CO will worry about it. But we hunted through, around and under trying to spot it per the hint. The sun must not be in the right direction at the end of the day to assist us here. Good luck to the next cachers.

#7098 Day 5 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega Sad came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we headed out of Armidale down towards Tamworth. Only a short trip of 150km or so, but with sufficient geostops to fill out the day. Highlights for today had to be the geono caches around Uralla and Uralla itself. We bumped into "The Neighbs" along the way and had a chat. They were heading up to the Mega too, but had to divert.

An unusual container opposite the belt factory.

Thanks ALFIE77JC1

01-Apr-21
We are staying in Uralla over Easter now, as our trip to go to the Dayboro mega in QLD fell through thanks to covid. So instead of going back home to Vic, we decided to stay and explore this area instead. So glad we did as it is truly a beautiful area.

On a day trip back towards Tamworth via Moonbi, this was one of the caches we found. It was very wet inside, so we tipped the water out and dried the logsheet as best we could before replacing. TFTC ALFIE77JC1.

Yes, found it.

They say you have to be careful of muggles, but one here just amazed me. It was 15 mins before school was due out. A parent was sitting in a car, no more than 2 metres from the cache. I thought I would take my chances, surely she wouldn't be the type that would remove/destroy the cache. But she didn't even look at me, had her head buried in her mobile phone. I am still not sure whether she saw me.

Thanks for the cache.

While staying at Moonbi the caching hunt continued with ilook4geo, Today covered a couple of different trails and we had a fairly good result. Each log found had two more names added to the list before each container and its contents were put back as they had been found. Thanks go to ALFIE77JC1 for these cache placements.

13-Sep-20
Found at 10:57 AM GAFF3 - not that it helped us that much as we don't know much about tree names.
When we eventually found the cache we realised why we didn't find it sooner. A T of 1.5 means it is easily accessible - ie on the ground or shoulder height - not way over your head!
Thanks ALFIE77JC1.
Feedback: Where this cache is located requires a bit of height and a lot of cachers would not be able to access it. T of 2.0 is more appropriate.

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 3. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we headed out to do caching trails around Tamworth to the North. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost ever cache.

Thanks.

20,423. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.

Day 3 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be a big days caching. We aimed to hit some of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and a quick find was made. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Day 3 of the visit to Tamworth with joojoo57. This morning we are taking a run out to Moonbi to tackle the New England Gully Road Series. But of course there were a few others to be collected along the way.

I searched the right spot but missed it, and while I was off elsewhere, joojoo called me back. I guess I just wasn't looking for that?!?!? TFTC, ALFIE77JC1.

Day 3 and last in Tamworth this time round, need to now head to Goulburn to meet up with a few cachers heading to the QBN Mega. Another overcast day keeping pleasant to drive around the area. Nice cache container, would need to be careful to ensure no young muggles catch us here.

On this day 7th March, in the history of geono., no cache has been logged.... ever. Surprised So on a visit to Tamworth today we thought we'd fix that. Our first choice, George @ Moonbi, had four DNF's. Didn't think that might be the cache to do it. This was the second option.

As we pulled up at the co-ordinates during school hours it was pleasantly deserted. Easily found the cache but the log.... ? we don't know where the log was. Sad It wasn't in the container, nor was anything else for that matter. We had a spare one we've been carrying around for a while (actually by the look of it, quite a while) Razz so we left it as a replacement. Hope this is okay. TFTC ALFIE77JC1.
