In Leeds for the cricket and with a spare day I headed out to try a few earthcaches. Managed to walk just over 4klms and pick up 10, as well as virtual and webcam.

All were interesting spots, with some info quickly gathered, some that took a bit of re-reading and research back at the motel. Answers have all been sent and hopefully all is good,

Thanks for the lessons Hillgorilla, something new was certainly learnt.

Just passing through Leeds. Might as well collect the information to send to the CO.

Plan B today after heavy rain at home put paid to Plan A so it was off to Leeds to locate the 5 new earthcaches. Answers sent to CO. Another excellent earthcache which it would be very easy to walk past and ignore. Tftec.

We enjoyed the scenic train ride from Carlisle to Leeds, which was followed by finding lots of Earthcaches and 5 others.
Walked up from the station and soon had necessary answers for CO.
Thanks Hillgorilla for a well thought out Earthcache.

I could see various unknown fossil traces in the limestone, but finally spotted what looked like bivalves right where a group were sitting, drinking coffee and smoking! Typical.

Coming back later in the evening when the cafe had closed, I was able to have a good close look, take photos and measurements, and I've since sent my answers to the CO. Thanks again for creating these good urban earthcaches.

A day in Leeds city centre with my caching pal Simwil (Simon) to, once again, clear it of unfound caches.
Seven Earth caches attempted and I have the answers which I will forward to the CO, on behalf of us both, in due course. In the meantime I'll be cheeky and log them all as found.
Thanks for setting these and giving us an excuse to use public transport to visit Leeds Wink

A day out in Leeds with Kevin of the hairyfairies to sort some recent additions to the map. Now for seven earthcaches and Kevin kindly agreed to submit our agreed answers for both of us. Not easy this one but I hope we were looking at the right shapes.

Our 2nd day in Leeds and this was not an easy Earthcache because;
a) it is difficult and
b) the bank staff were looking out their windows wondering what on earth we were doing.
We found some fossils, not necessarily the right fossils mind you, but we managed to send some answers to the ECO. TFTEC.
Heading north now for more Earthcaches and 2 Wetherspoons to visit, another of our collections.

Here I am in Leeds with half an hour to spare so tried again with this EC. It’s always so busy around here and I’m feeling conspicuous gazing at walls. I made an attempt and had some help from a PAF. Answers sent to CO. TFT Earthcache.

I found this one quite tricky as I looked around Cafe Nero for the correct fossils. I was lucky that it was evening and quiet, so no one was sitting where I needed to look, but I certainly got some strange looks from people walking past as I looked around the walls.

Thanks for bringing me here.

Find 17 of 28 today while on tour with South Derbyshire Geocaching. Logs were variously signed SDG or stamped, depending on space.

This was a bonus Earthcache for us. SDG Admin had - as usual - done a lot of work in preparing the route for the day, but when initially planning the route this cache wasn't yet live. So this was not on our original route, but we spotted it while out in fthe field and figured it would be a made to leave a solitary Earthcache in the middle of an otherwise cleared zone. So we doubled-back to grab the info here before returning to our original route.

SL - TFTC!

Found the answers whilst on tour with South Derbyshire Group. Answers submitted to CO. Thanks for a great earthcache. We are really enjoying doing these on this glorious sunny day. I was oblivious to any stares we might have been receiving whilst intently studying the shop facade.
