Today we are in Ross. After a sleepless night on Sunday due to the heavy rain and waking up at 5am to watch England fail again in the footy it was good to get a great nights sleep. Still had a leisurely start to the day which was nice. We explore town on foot and then had a scallop pie from the bakery, we rated it 3/10 the pies in Ulverstone are so much better. We enjoyed wandering around town collecting the AL and finding a few caches. We have been here before when we only had time for one find so it was nice today to really get to know the place.Fun spot shame the bird houses are falling into disrepair TFTC
Love the concept if this. It's a shame it hasn't been maintained, but a really good idea
What a gorgeous little spot . Wouldnt have known about this place, except for there being a cache there.
Sadly the habitat structures have been left to decay, rot & fall down. Maintenance is always the key to longevity.A new log book has been put in place. TFTC
What a fantastic hide we have enjoyed looking at the species hotels while here
Wow what an amazing place. I came to Ross for a pie and you brought me here. TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 11. My last big day in Tasmania was the journey from Hobart to Launceston. Most of the day was highway driving, but there were two counties to visit before arriving. Even then I still had two more counties to the north and east of Launceston, and that took another three hours, which brought me back to my accommodation juts in time for a fairly late dinner for me. I then had to rearrange my car so stuff was ready for tomorrows boat trip and then it was off to mixed nights sleep with lots of noise from revelers outside the hotel. After finishing the Labs around town, I walked out to this art installation. I had a good look around and an even closer look at the one near GZ, but I failed to locate the cache. I hope it is there somewhere. Thanks.Albida
What an interesting collection of bird boxes along this tucked away lane. Eventually worked out what the hint meant, but it has been a looooong day and this is the last cache for today. SL at 7.37pm #10,650 TFTC and showing us these structures sgtjoeevans

That would have been easier, if there weren't muggles around. I got unnecessarily prickled and just needed a stick because of long grass! TFTC
This was a very quick PW&G in Ross today. Another nice little spot. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
Thankyou! What a great place.
We have two junior cavers with us who took the tb and will help them travel.

Found on what was a lovely winters morning, but it is starting to deteriorate a little. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook page. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
TYFTC - Log is certainly getting full.
A place of treasure, thank you for bringing us here!

Easy cache to find once you read the hint! Had to stop in at the old bakery afterwards for a sneaky vanilla slice. It was amazing! TFTC!
What a fabulous spot for a cache.
Would never have known this was here.
Stopped by after spending the evening at Ulverstone rodeo.

Day 5 of our Tasmanian Odyssey and Blkthunder and I have headed south to investigate Campbell Town and Ross…
Despite the amount of water laying around we got to GZ and after checking out the hotels started the hunt…
I thought this cache was a goner… I could only find the lid… and was in the process of writing my DNF when I found the rest of the container a metre away…
After making our mark, I put the container back together and returned it to its hiding spot…

Great spot, thanks.
Certainly another spot that would probably not be visited if not for geocaching, so thanks for bringing me here.

Nice spot. Much needed fresh air and adventure out in new part of Tas for me. Thanks
On our way to Launceston, looking for a few caches on the way, as you do! By the time we got here the weather had taken a turn for the worse. TFTC
Down in Tassie for a break before Christmas and continuing our travels around the country, wow the countryside is absolutely glorious. Happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
On my way home from Port Sorell and Devonport, this one was decided on after passing it a number of times being put off by the wet grass and muddy conditions. Today, Friday 26 November 2021, there was no excuse coz the grass between the parking spot and GZ was cut and looking trim and all was dry, so i parked close and walked in.
This is a cool spot with a number of fascinating objects... no more hints here, come see it. There was a cache to be found so with that done after a bit of a hunt, hoping no Tiger Snakes were about, it was found and it's dry log within was signed.

What a fabulous area. Also thought the water may prevent entry, definitely higher than usual. TFTC
Stopped by to find this one and was a bit worried the flooding in the area might prevent us from getting there. Luckily we were able to walk in and found it quickly. TFTC

Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.
