No luck. All we could find after a thorough search was a pile of suspicious looking rocks behind this.
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasnt to be. I searched in all the places indicated by the clue but no cache was found Thanks anyway SpatialRiq
With three reasons to trek up this short but steep hill the decision was made to go for it. Well one Beetle went and one got to stay in the warm car below!! No guessing which one went??After admiring the views and completing the GCA History cache all that was left to do was to look for this one. Tried to do it without kneeling on the wet grass but after a complete loop that only resulted in my hands passing through an awful lot of cobwebs I re-thought my approach and got down to a more suitable level to search from. Luckily the cache was found only about a metre and a half from my starting point but my jeans were still very wet on the knees. Thanks for the cache SpatialRiq.
We took the steep walk up following the yellow rails at the split. Be careful if the path is wet, can get slippery in sections. Beautiful views. Nice easy cache to find, watch out for the canon.
It was a fun find but it took us 30 minutes to get it out of the Canon. Some idiot must of put it there. We got it out and put it back where it belongs.TFTC
Went for a wander up the hillTook some photosHad a look got naughtNot saying it's not thereOnly had half a lookThanks
Tasmania Trip Day 6. It is time to move on from Burnie, and I headed south towards Queenstown. There were of course a few detours, both for counties and for popular destinations Zeehan and Strahan. Unlike the last few days, the roads got quite twisty at times, but the scenery was spectacular and Queenstown although quite on a Sunday afternoon, was an interesting place to look around and find dinner. After dinner, I decided to have a go at 'just one more' At least this one was up first. The view was great and the history interesting. The cache was found without any problems. Thanks for the cache SpatialRiq45931.27 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Beach Ball A#36**Albida**
Replaced this one with permission from owner. Please ensure when you rehide it is as hidden as it can be from people visiting the platform.Super interesting spot the history board is well worth a read. TFTC and for bringing us here
Thanks so much to Michells&hound for replacing the cache. Hopefully it remains so others can enjoy this fantastic location.
Looks like this one's been muggled already. Have disabled, and will see what I can do.
Sadly didnt find the cache after a long walk up (dont recommend for pregnancy) and a long search we have to sadly walk down the hill empty handed:( On an adventure from Perth, WA for a Pancake honeymoon.
A quick find after the slow climb to the top, worth it for the views. Thanks for the hide SpatialRiq.
Huge thanks to Me&B for travelling from WA to Tas and replacing this one for me. And yes, I owe you big time Ulla!
4st day of my trip to Tasmania together with Me&B. Has been replaced. You owe Ulla a big one TFTC
### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by SpatialRiq and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayangCommunity Reviewer -Australia
We searched everywhere and rolled a big rock underneath around but still nothing.Good excuse to come up here though, even if we didn't come down finding the goods
Looked around and under. Couldn't see it. Having to move on, we've had to log a DNF
Alas another dnf. We will be back another time. Great views so still worth the walk.
We looked from all directions under everything felt and no sign of the container. TFT great view.
Found after we managed the climb, nearly needed oxygen hahaha, cloudy and drizzle but great views, took a while to locate
We looked for quite a while underneath the whole platform. A challenge in the dark. Maybe revisit during daylight hours.
I’m so glad I could nearly drive up to this one.!!
The view here is beautiful on this clear afternoon.
I can’t believe they built two of those cannons here in Queenie. The history you can learn from Geocaching

A sprint up the hill only to be greeted by a sign saying 'the Germans are coming'. What a welcome Quite a few muggels enjoying the sunset from up here, so had to wait a while until being able to approach GZ and recover the cache. TFTC
With time up our sleeve while our train ride was delayed we decided to hunt down a few caches.
The view over the town is very pleasant and the story that goes with it is interesting.

So happy to find a cache here to give me something to do as I waited in Queenstown for the morning. Beautiful views from the lookout and the cache was a quick find. TFTC!
And as I wish I had an oxygen resuscitation cylinder on hand, and whilst being very glad I had my heart medication this morning I triumphantly found the cache, signed the log and staggered back to BlueBM who drew the lucky straw on this cache and stayed at the sidecar minding our gear.Lol TFTC
We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to SpatialRiq (maintained by 2y'stassies) for the generation of this nice cache Atop Spion Kop (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Out n about with m4yb grabbing a few caches.
Having lunch in the car while a small amount of rain drizzles around, but what a fabulous view! Well this is what geocaching is all about, not the “.ltf” stuff! You best have an FP for this one mate.
Thanks for the hide & SpatialRiq

Megawat60 and I are now headed to Strahan, but first, Queenstown and a cache we just had to find. A bit of exercise for the less than fit, rich-ly rewarded. Left a Pathtag that the CO is welcome to come and collect. TFTC and a FP!
Yes the climb is worth it, the views were great. Such a stark environment.

YAY - we found Spion Kop. Find 3 of Day 5 of our Great Tassie 2023 Caching Adventure. Stunning views of Queenstown from GZ and a great history lesson. Interesting walk up and down the hill. Log signed and we were off. TFHC
We found this cache while exploring the west coast area of Tassie for a week.
The last part of the hill gets your heart rate up.
Especially after forgetting a pen so having to go back to the car and walking up twice.
Cache was found easily so a nice sit down for a while was in order while the log was signed.
The history about the hill was fascinating to read and the views over town were good as well.

Climbed this hill to look at the views of Queenstown, secondly because I recognised the name as a battle in south Africa, and need I say more, there was a cache up here! Took a moment to work out my bearings but got there in the end. Read all the info, and had a laugh at the Tasmanian version of Spion Kop. Signed cache and returned.

Found by Dad. Sat listening to someone playing bagpipes below. Haven't been here for a few years, it's interesting to see how much greener the area is looking. Our pen wouldn't write so photos show us here. Queenstown offers more than people realise - we loved the King River gorge rafting. Tftc.
Based on a previous photo, I had an idea what to look for.
After a decent hunt all around under and above the platform, I had no luck.
There are signs of a recent clean-up, so it may have been muggled.
Cache check, please?

Found this cache but out in the open away from co ords. Put it back where I think it should have been and signed log. TFTC
A nice view and little climb. Could see all of Queenstown from up there combined with a beautiful sunset

Day 4 of our Lap of Tassie. Killing time before we did the Wilderness Train, and decided to head up to the lookout... what a bonus to find a Geocache here. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Spatialrig, it's a beautiful Sunday morning and what an interesting location thanks for taking me there regards from Victourer
Found by mrfwd. With my broken ankle i stayed at the bottom and had a chance to study the mining exhibits. Very interesting. Just needs a bit of TLC. Looks like everyone has forgotten them. TFTC
It was very different coming into Queenstown today then the first time I visited back in the 1980's. Beautiful sunny day today. Rainy cold night before. Went up Spion Kop took the photos nabbed the cache, all good. Great spot Queenstown, had a pulled pork lunch at the Empire Pub, very tasty.

I was in Queenstown for a family commitment and decided to add this cache to my list of finds. A short steep walk but worth the views and the history. Cache was found in good condition.
Tftc. Worth the walk up the hill. Pen didn't work but decided not to go down and get one that did ...
Holidaying in Tassie with the family and decided to check out Queenstown. Looked up the app and found there was a cache available up here. Well we better check it out. Thanks for bringing us up here. Great views from here and a cache, even better. Cache and log all in great condition. Thanks for placing.

Add this to the never ending *list of places I wouldn't go unless there was a cache there*. I saw this on the map while waiting for lunch and figured this would be a good place to go. There isn't much signage around town, I guess because locals wouldn't want to much traffic trying to park or turn around in the area.
Nice view up top before hitting the road to Strahan.

What a view. Heading off on the last few days of our 5 week holiday in Tassie from WA and you brought us to this amazing view. TFTC SL
It is the way sometimes. Found second time round straight away and today I get a view. On my first attempt all I got was wet and cold. Thank you for maintaining the cache.
