Sadly, I never had the privilege of meeting Darren but Ive heard so many wonderful things about him from the Canberra geocaching community. And Ive always enjoyed finding his caches!Quick find here in a nice patch of Canberra upstream from the lake! That sky is looking rather suspiciousthanks!
It was an easy find in a nice spot. Sadly I never got to meet Darren. It sounds like he was well worth meeting. TFTC.
Unimaginativenames big geocaching weekend. Assume the worst. That way youll be happy your brains werent eaten by a zombie. - UnimaginativenameSo a fortnight ago, I did this. On the first day, I was worried I got bitten by a snake, and on the second day, the temperature dropped four degrees and then it started raining when I just got out. Last week, I forgot I was going to Sydney. This time, Ill do it properly.Nice one to start me off. TFTC
#4595 After being muggled out by birdwatchers down in the wetlands I headed over here to pick up the couple on this trail. No problems here with a swift find. (No bird pun intended). Cheers Tealby.
Took a walk to these two caches after locking my bike up. A lot of bulls around watching me find the cache. A surprisingly large cache hidden in a perfect spot. TFTC Tealby!
Was on a school excursions, was bored with 8 or so friends so decided to geo chatch, found this in a stroke of luck!
Out for a ride on the bicycles today, we left them locked up at the gate to the entrance of the wetlands here. It was then a walk in through very long grass and some mud to GZ.
Everything looks so green at the moment, and the birdlife is spectacular. Plenty of superb fairy wrens flitting across the pathway as we walked.

Thanks Tealby

I've got too much overtime, so I took the day off and am perusing this part of Jerrabomberra Wetlands. I have never been here. Usually I go birdwatching in the other part.

Clever use of the surrounding materials. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. but cache seems to be protected and secure.
Enjoyed the walk along the paths on the humid day. But think its time for a nice drink now.
Thanks for the cache.

I needed a geocache an some exercise today, so I decided to ride out to the wetlands and check out what was down the road. A nice walk in, but a bit muddy. I was glad to have a mask on, the poplars had started seeding and it was like a light snow. There were heaps of frogs calling and Willy wagtails zipping around at GZ. The cache was retrieved with ease, and was in good condition. The sun was coming through the clouds and looking beautiful, so I had to climb up on the structure for a photo. Thanks for bringing me down this interesting road to this spot and for the cache Tealby!
#12115 - 3:25:00 PM; Needed a multi and a regular to make some more small steps on a couple of personal challenges today. The weather was fine, so I headed over to the Jerrabomberra Wetlands for the nearby multi. I should have checked the location of the nearest regular size cache (this one) before I headed off for GZ for the multi, as it would have saved some time and back tracking . I had logged the old cache at this location quite a while back, so didn't take too long before I was adding my name to the log for this cache today. TFTC Tealby
Nice easy find thanks for no long grass. We place a duck with all the other animal friends
First of 14 finds on a morning walk through the wetlands and around the lake. This is a great cache: cool hiding spot, good size and in perfect condition because of such a good hiding spot. TNLNSL TFTC
In the area collecting waypoints for an AL, this was a straightforward find at GZ. Thank you, Tealby.
After a morning geohike with AngelG27, Fox In Jox, TikvaNZ and ZQX, I decided to continue my mission and grab the labs and the other caches around the wetlands
Ahhh yes reminiscing indeed - I'd found the previously cache hidden at this spot several years ago so it was a quick find of this new one here!
Thanks for the hide, Tealby

Spindoc Bob had long since moved to Sydney before I first became involved in geocaching, but his is a name I have heard mentioned and read of numerous times. He was clearly held in very high regard by those who knew him and it is nice to see a cache like this placed in his memory.

Second day of caching in Canberra this weekend. Weather looks a lot better then yesterday. With that said the bike came out if the car so I didn't drag it along the whole way for nothing. Lots of caches found again, thanks to all for hiding. Also made good progress towards a few goals.

Out on a ride around the lake today, grabbing the odd geocache on the way. What a great amount of treasure to be found in this big hide. After touring the trenches, checked out the crush and the ramp. Left a mickey mouse ooshie amongst the prizes. TFTC Tealby
Out to have a look at the old trenches and stopped in to grab this one. No cows near here today but you could smell them.

A family day of walking and exploring. We had gotten ourselves happily but unexpectedly sidetracked in the nearby trenches, this cache was great to get us focused back on our treasure hunt even if our youngest was disappointed not to have brought a treasure to swap.
Thanks,

It was another lovely afternoon to be out and and about. I do remember the earlier incarnation and actually found it in January 2009 which was in my early days of geocaching. It was a fun cache then too. Thanks for bringing it back Tealby.
Nice cache and stocked full of swag. Thank you we had a nice walk all the way to the river today.
Today was a beautiful day to be out, so a message to dty73 if she was free and wanted to head out too. She was and although it is getting harder to find caches we both need, this area had a few that we could do together. It's always such a lovely walk down here, today more so with the lush greenery and lovely sunny day. Having found the previous cache here I think this is a fitting tribute and also a lovely location for it. Thanks for the cache Tealby.
Straight to it by K8tybee. She is on a roll this evening. Such a lovely way to stretch the legs.
Out on the hunt for some exercise (and the odd cache) with GLISS! And K8tybee Tftc

Found with [@Decrypter](http://coord.info/PR75QXD). We were back in the area again today and we decided to go for this one. We parked at the wetlands and walked to GZ. The cattle are still grazing among the trench lines. Once at GZ, D quickly located the hide and extracted the cache. Log signed and stamped and we decided to continue along the path a bit. Well, a bit turned into doing a full circuit back to the car park. We spent some time watching the waterbirds. TFTC.
The kids and I had a great time finding this cache! It was a bit of a challenge to get past all the cows with the kids.
So that’s where it was/is!!!!
I never had the privilege of meeting the man, but did listen a podcast or ten!
A nice stroll out here right on dusk. I watched a fox right at GZ for several minutes from close range before moving in for a quick find

Our goal for this "Leap Day" was to get 10 different types which we managed with a few extras thrown in for good measure and even a border crossing.
Being close by after a bite to eat we called past these ones that had popped up since we were here last.
We actually did the one that was here before this one. So quick find and onto the next.
Thanks for the hide Tealby

Miss 1 loved this part of the walk, all the cows were along the fence line in the shade.
Another great size cache.
Thank you

I headed out to the Jerrabombra Wetlands to get a few caches and to do the new adventure lab. I enjoyed my walk around kellys loop again, and was happy to get all the information required. Then it was off to the World War I trench school and a few caches at repeat locations in the cow paddocks on the banks of the molonglo River. A nice sunny morning walking.
Thanks.

Found on my big walk around the wetlands. Water on top, but inside was dry. Thanks,
Cache was found out in the open. Signed DSD and stuffed back up where it cant be seen. I remember the final of a puzzle was at this same location and it was my first solo puzzle find.
Found today on a scoot around the river with Joolay. So nice it has cooled down. Cache was in good condition but just sitting on the ground.

Quick find with Kittykatch out scooting the paths. Lovely cool arvo after the smoke and heat. TFTC
Was lovely to return along this trail after a few years, somethings change, somethings don't.
Definitely a peaceful spot (minus the flies) for some reminiscing.
We have definitely had some fun finding the previous caches along this stretch.
A nice large am enjoyable cache was quickly located.

Catching up on some logging. Found with AngelG27 on a morning walk with the Geohound. Lots of cows! TFTC:)
Cache 5583 on 1 Dec 2019.
With only two Tankengine caches to get before I reached 300 (and a commemorative path tag ) Bobl27 , geohound and I heard out to grab a few caches this morning, and two TE ones in particular! It was windy walking with our blustery boots but the cheerful caches were fantastically found!
This cache: found this one on the way back to the car, and said hello to Stars Align at GZ . Cache was on a slightly different spot to the one I had found previously!
Thanks Tealby for the cache and the fun!
